About The Moth
The Moth is a Ren'Py visual novel with 2D art, made by Silksworm TM. It casts you as a male protagonist whose ordinary day is interrupted when a duty officer summons him to a violent crime. That incident exposes a hidden struggle beneath everyday life, involving demonic forces, self-appointed guardians, witches, rival non-human clans, and unnamed terrors. The game blends fantasy, romance, and monster themes within a dating-sim structure, while the player navigates relationships as the world changes.
The current build is v0.2, released on December 13, 2023, and development remains ongoing. It is available for PC, Linux, Android, and Mac, in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog says this version continues the story, adds new locations, and includes a new intimate scene. The earlier v0.1 entry marked the initial release.
Developer's description
The world is not as it seems. Mysterious forces exist right under our noses, waging a bloody war, the outcome of which could end the world as we know it: demonic legions, self-proclaimed defenders of order, enigmatic witches, clans of different non-humans, as well as horrors that you can't even imagine... And I knew nothing about it. For me, it was a normal day when the duty officer called me to a brutal murder scene. And that day changed everything...
