The Stillness is a Ren'Py visual novel by Chrysanthemum, presented with 3D CG artwork. You play a man who has fled his troubles and arrives at St. Vera's, his third school in three months. It is an inclusion school in the Mainland that accepts people of any race, background, or circumstance. The story leans into fantasy, monster girls, and romance, as the new school seems dangerous in a way past horrors were not.
The current build is Chapter 1, released on January 13, 2023. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, is written in English, and is uncensored. This first release contains about 350 renders and roughly 30 to 60 minutes of playtime. It introduces nearly the whole main cast and hints at future characters.

"All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone." - Blaise Pascal What do you do when you can't fight off your demons? You run. Run like hell, and pray to all of the gods that you never trip. All of that running has brought you to your third school in as many months. It was the only school left in the Mainland that would accept you even with a record like yours. You're all too aware that you're on your last chance, and that last chance is St. Vera's. An inclusion school that will accept anyone regardless of their race, background or circumstances. It becomes evident almost immediately that everyone there ended up at a place like this for a reason. In a past that you are staunchly against confronting, you faced down far more terrifying things, but somehow you get the feeling that this school is going to be the end of you. Beggars can't be choosers though, and frankly, your legs are starting to get tired.
