There's some problems with the scenes especially in Update 5 where it gets stuck in a certain scene with Jill, and I can't click or rollback to anything and it stays there for quite a while before freezing and I just have to quit the game. Tried to restart multiple times but still the same

Nice models (Triss is top tier) and a healthy amount of sex scenes. The dev tries some interesting things with camera angles and pans which can be hit or miss. I have to dock a point off however because the story, while interesting with some intrigue, feels like it jumps around at times, especially in the latter stages. A new story thread is sometimes introduced which seems to expect previous knowledge. It also seems like you can't avoid being with specific characters.

[Final Update 4] This is one of those few Honey Select games that looks good. There's some problem with lighting but overall the models, renders, and sex scenes are all top notch. I'm worried about the story tho: the last few updates feel really rushed, the story is going nowhere, and it looks like we are already in the final stretch of the game content.

I was enjoying the game until the grandma appears! From that moment the game feels rushed, forced character actions, nonsense dialogues etc. I dont know what happenned? Lack of interest by developer, Not enough support by patreons? For me the most important in a game is the story and it lowers his quality abruptly 2 stars for Animations and Good story before the grandma shows PD: the spanish word "Rico" means (Tasty or Delicious(Food or Dick?), Feeling good(durimg sex) and also rich(people with great amount of money) In a later game dont use "Rich" for Foods and Sex Scenes haha Rich can be used for food but Tasty or delicious sounds better.

It's a pretty good story. The called ancestor through a ritual that talks to the MC but otherwise it's an ordinary slice of life adventure is quite a nice idea. However, it needs balance and that is where this visual novel falls a little. The ancestor's side of the story does not take nearly enough space within the story. In some ways it feels like the storywriting at times goes on with the author forgetting about the ancestor ghost and then suddenly remembering that it's quite an important part of the story and adds it in at short intervals. That part of the story is the best part, it's got a lot of layers on it that makes it interesting while the rest is just slice of life and that's fine as well, and it's quite nicely written so I can still stay engaged, but the other part of the story is interesting and I want more of it. Now the animations, artstyle, and characters are all very good. There are some sexual relations that one can question how it makes sense but it's fine. I recommend playing it but I also hope the developer can take more time in the ancestor ghost's story. Review written after completion of Update 3

This game starts off pretty good but as it goes on the quality drops further and further, it's honestly kind of staggering how bad it gets given from where it starts. The story drags out the mystery far too long and in a very repetitious way, always presenting only a single new crumb of the bigger picture, leaving the rest as a series of '???' marks. The grammar/spelling gets progressively worse and part way through it seems to go from a proper translation from someone with decent enough english to machine translation, with clear marks such as non english syntax and fragments from the source language, having stuttering speech result in 's-s-si' becoming 's-s-yes' for example, and there's a tonne of stuttering speech which always contains this error so it's pretty clearly machine translation. Most animations have some kind of graphical spasm, from stuttering to texture pop to very sudden and extreme camera swivel speeds. The only consistently stable parts are the default animations that come with all honey select 1 games. The worst part of this game is the story itself, as it goes on and the mystery is dragged out it gets more unhinged, jumping from whatever content the dev felt like working on whilst ignoring others, no real planned layout to make the overarching story coherent and sensical seems to exist before the dev starts writing and animating the next chapter, it's just slapped together with a bit of glue and some tape, and that glue and tape often comes in the form of grossly summarised time skips, glossing over chunks of content that is worth actually having had it written out and melded into the story but instead we get a 5 second montage of a few sentences before skipping ahead far too quickly to the next poorly executed chunk of the devs current focus. I was enjoying this game at first, i played it for several hours straight, but around the time the grandmother shows up the quality started to drop and i found myself playing it in briefer and briefer spurts. At this point i can barely play 15 minutes before i need to do something else and i hope it ends soon so i can move on. Curse my stupid brain for needing to see how a story ends once i get past the first chapter, i'd have happily quit altogether by now if i could.

Very poor way to end a game, opening a door does not change what happened in the past. no matter what you do with the other path it will never be anything more than a lie in your own head. Plenty of other great games out there, id give this one a miss.

Welp, that was a letdown.\ Save your time and play/read something else. Story and characters is absolute poopoo. Just check ordownload pictures/gifs, if you like HS style. (it's pretty good) Now go and look for other game to pass time.

This game is superior and surprisingly enjoyable while you really enjoy chemistry between characters and Conversation is basically outstanding. Great Points : 1: Good story. 2. Great lewd action. 3. Animation is outstanding. 4. Character are really really look different.( I mean in honey select character can look so smiler if not worked on model in detailed. ) 5. Well there is no blue balling. What I hope for : 1. Simple music like a tone in background. I love the game.

Game starts off with potential: somewhat interesting story, different characters, etc., but as you continue to play, these things become ignored. Story: The MC is connected with a ghost, and that is the overarching story at the beginning. The ghost helps him pick up girls and get laid, but there is something sinister behind her. Sounds somewhat interesting, but this story is quickly ignored for basic, stupid dramas with other characters. The ghost and main plot are ignored for a large majority of the game. Characters: Not the most original characters, but they are done well. However, some characters are added then you do not see them again for no reason, or some characters act out of character. By the end, 3 of the characters become 100% nymphos (completely out of character) who would rather fuck each other than hang out with the MC and does not really care about the MC anymore. Graphics: Average Overall, game starts with potential with story and characters, but quickly ruins both.

I really liked the charaters and the background, but it really sucked not being able to choose which girls I wanted to persue a relationship with or not. I had no interest on the "Landlady" or on the "Landlady's sister" and even less interest on the "Landlady's mom. It was really annoying and even disgusting to me to be forced to have sex with them. I think that is one of the worst things in this game, it forced me to do thing I didn't want to do because it gave me no choice options. So even though the game had really great moments (especially with Lila and the "Roommates"), it got really frustrating when I was forced to persue relationships I had zero interest in. So even though there are parts that I love, there are also parts that I hate, therefore i have mixed feelings over it, and that's why I'm giving it only 3 stars.

Reviewing Ver. 0.15 Public Version(i don't know a thing about a possible patreon version that maybe is more polished than this one XD) Short Version : Nice beginning, poor execution, terrible management. The Good (aka "Keep it because i love it") - The premise of the game - The art of the girls and the amount of details. Despite the game is all in HoneySelect 1, we have characters like Triss who is so physically defined and detailed that she has moles on her body, which is something that i maybe saw twice in any HS-based games i played so far. The Meh (aka "the Annoying") - How the plot developed and is mantained: We go from a beginning where the ghost-girl's plot is almost constant to several timeskips full of nothing but orgies, at some points it feels like the dev even forgot about the main plot, you know...about MC being connected to a ghost, and thanks to her is basically the greatest male pornstar ever. There are several updates where MC is dealing with dramas, the kind that it gets resolved only to repeat itself over and over, like in one of those tv-shows with several romances and tons of misunderstanding that need like hundreds of episodes just to solve them, but without really solve them because...you know, you need some juice for the next drama-plot. - Some character appeared like twice, only to disappear forever (cough cough Zoe cough cougs), what was their point? Cheap sex-scene, or forcing a change into the main girls! The Bad(aka, "Dude, you better change it asap") - I played Ver. 0.15 and i'll be honest with you, it would be decent 3-stars VN..if it wasn't for some things...that i hoped would have been fixed. I had to replay the whole game for some weird coincidence and i found out that the news about old polls, or the dev going on a break ARE STILL THERE. I was sure that they were removed, because it's been a while since i touched this game. This shows an incredible level of lazyness or a major lack of abilities into fixing something so old...which is weird considering that the dev is pretty solid at making characters with HoneySelect(unless he stole them from someone else) - In this last update, near the end of it, we get a choice...only for the choice itself to be a not-choice, because you have no-choice but select one mandatory option, because the other one(and it's written right there) it's a WORK IN PROGRESS! So we get a release...only to be incomplete and we'll must go back to that choice IF and WHEN the dev will complete it. Braindead Advice here: If your release isn't complete, DON'T POST IT! Conclusion: This is probably one of those games that i wish i could review positively, but i can't(because it's bad), and it saddens me. I remember waiting for this VN to come out, release after release, i remember the story being unusual and fun, before playing this version, i checked a few reviews(which is something i do) and i laughed at those negative reviews thinking that they are trolls or made by childish guys…only to (mentally) apologize to them when i was done playing…because they are right all along. @Jnx review explains perfectly this game's situation. It really depresses me because the game had potential, and it's still there but goes on and on blue-balling us with pointless drama or going in circle until some tiny bits of plot happens, only to be blue-balled soon after that or getting insane amount of porn(that while good-looking, is not really appealing...to me at least, because it feels like playing a porn-movie but starting it from the middle, you just see a man and a woman going at it...and maybe it's me…but it's kind of boring XD no pacing, no initial flirting…i mean why watch this VN's scene when i can have the same thing from a porn-movie and without all the clicking around?! XD). Will i come back to this VN? Probably…but not with eagerness or desire, it would be like reading a boring book…wanting to quit it, but you're 3/4 through, and you decide to continue until the end, and once it's over you'll never read it again hoping to forget it soon.

I'm a long time follower of this game and really like it, definitely more on the lewd side than not, but I like this most about the game. If pure storytelling is your thing, then there are many other options. Was waiting a long time for the 0.15 update and I'm really happy with it! Fantastic character design, incredible scenes with high quality animations (the bounces are next level ), and a nice and entertaining story that progresses slowly with each update. Really excited to see more in the future! I was a fan since the first version and I still am, therefore I rate it 5/5.

In the beginning , storyline is above average, but as you get deep into the game, the story becomes less interesting. Some of those conversations feel dull, and also there's no way you can guide the storyline as you please because the choices you're given make little to no effect on the progress.

Final update 2 Dropping my rating to 3 stars, apparently we just waited 6 months for a few mediocre sex scenes and functionally no development or story and there are STILL several options you just aren't allowed to click Version 14 part 2 Really enjoyed the game for what it's worth. The only real issues I had with the story were the whole disappearance of Lila bit combined with Kiara never mentioning Lila again after the few (3 that I can remember?) early scenes, despite being extremely excited and curious about her for a short time. As well as characters seemingly being forgotten or going unused at random. Searching the script files as I haven't had time to play from the beginning since version 11: Zoe barely exists outside of a few words and passing mentions past version 9 Elizabeth/Eli pretty much doesn't exist after version 10 excluding a single short scene in 11 and a 3 word line later Same for Alison once you pass version 10 Neighbor shows up for 2 scenes, MC is told to do something with her by Jill, the only scene she's even mentioned in is 3 updates later, for what was functionally a single line, and is skipped over immediately afterwards I could understand Liz and Nina not showing up (They got some love in the last update at least) because Liz lived far away and Nina made her boundaries clear early on. The rest of my issues were namely nitpicks and inconsequential to gameplay: The two random Patreon poll popups were mildly annoying, the first appears fixed/removed as of 14 part 2 but I don't have a save near the second so I can't check that one. The gap between versions 12 and 14, which is mentioned nowhere that I'm able to find, even searching the files and the thread

Not even the dev wanted to finish the story. Spoiler: "Final" Update Thoughts I'm just gonna list a lot of character issues here, realistically. First, MC makes no sense at all. He went on some mystery trip that still wasn't explained outside of "I went to that place and did odds and ends for people with no electricity. There was one girl my age there and she rejected me." That is 100% of what you are told about the 5 years MC left. And one day after coming back he walks in to a random place and gets some high paying job and IMMEDIATELY tries to sexually assault his boss after she said the only rule was no dating? That is ridiculous. Then, later on, MC acts desperate to get closer to Megan, after the party, as if he's hopelessly in love with her, trying to make it seem romantic I guess? But he's already having sex and/or intimate relationships with EVERY OTHER GIRL HE'S MET. He barely knows her. Lila's whole ordeal is she's looking for someone that killed her sister, but you're never given any more details than that. You just see random scenes of her looking but no actual proper nouns or context. You never even know what happened. You never even know why MC can't ejaculate without her around outside of "spirit energy" what that is, who knows? Why they see each other or what connection they have is nonexistent. ONE SCENE says MC completed some "ritual" but once again, there are no details about that stupid trip he took. And right after she keeps saying she doesn't want to "help him with his problem" she dresses as a slutty nurse and begs for attention. I just don't get the flip-flopping. The "???" person-angel-ghost thing that talks to Lila also doesn't want her to be around MC but also forces her down onto MC all the time. There is no direction in this story. During the mid-point of the story, after MC has ruined just about every relationship he has with sex, he gets desperate for any kind of sex so he remembers that Lyz exists and flirts with her to an almost cringey level. And you know for a FACT MC was looking at every girl like "Might I please have a crumb of sex madam?" this whole time. AND THE WORST PART IS, NONE of those issues are solved by MC on his own at all. He HAPPENS to get sick and everyone has to fawn over him while he can't move. He did NOTHING to fix anything. AND the best part is, after MC is sick, it's supposed to be an "exposition dump" But you still learn ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. "Form a pact with him" and "???'s powers" and Lila wanting to know if her memories are real. None of that was ever touched on. It just adds more questions for a dumb porn game. And MC reconciliation scene with megan is a joke. He says he "doesn't want to take advantage of a moment of weakness" when that is how almost every relationship of his has started. The only available "ending" isn't even finished. On top of a choice WELL BEFORE the end still being a work in progress is absurd. The translation is abysmal, and the choices during the Stefanie stuff were "Yes" or "Y-Yes" And the fact she was the angel ended up being even more of a let down because Lila has been in the room with her in both forms more than once. Clark Kent/Superman level disguise bull crap. I cannot wait for this to be over. At least then everyone will finally not be let down by this mess of a project. AND THERE STILL ARE NO ANSWERS ON TOP OF A DUMB CLIFFHANGER. JEEZ. TLDR; There is potentially a decent story in here somewhere. HOWEVER the writer gives no proper nouns to anything and pretty much leaves it open ended for no other reason than "Well I can't actually think of anything." Honey Select models, take that how you will. And a completely unlikable MC. Changed my rating to a ONE. So I came back to do a follow up to my review, mostly because I remembered I was interested in the story. Now I can safely say the mystique is gone. After re-reading everything, and kinda dissecting the story. It's not good. The whole "mysterious angel that doesn't show her face" thing, isn't doin' it for me. This has been being made for almost two years now, and it hasn't gotten to the point. They still never actually use details, and once you kinda think about the development timeframe it's clear they don't know what the story is either. You play as MC, a guy returning home after 5 years from some trip that is never given any real details about to your home with NOTMom and NOTSisters. It's kinda funny because it's said he's 22 but the default Honey Select model they use is the greasiest 38 year old looking mfer. And the typical "I never noticed how beautiful/attractive they are" lines are said. In the beginning it plays out like a slow burn romance harem game. Even after the mysterious ghost girl appears. She lies and tell you she's your ancestor and you've completed "the ritual." And now you are able to see her. Something that wasn't actually referenced at all before that. Then after Lila, the ghost, finds out she can feel pleasure when you do, she sets up promiscuous situations so she can feel it. Which would be enough of a story to play off of. But the story tries to jump WAY off the deep end after that. Essentially Lila goes out and looks for "her" some mysterious shape shifter that kills people. This plot point is nowhere to be found anymore. From what I've gathered, her sister was a victim. But she's pestered by some nameless faceless angel that isn't shown for some strange reason. It's honestly probably MC's mom or something. Every time something is started to be explained or you learn a proper noun of any kind, the entire situation gets obfuscated by dumb drama or just because. And honestly, no one is here for that. And it shows by the patreon poll garbage. The character Zoe im 99% certain was brought in just because patrons were probably complaining about a lack of sex in the game. It starts as a decent slow burn, then Zoe, MS's cousin who "honestly I forgot even existed," appears and there's a bunch of sex scenes. Which would be fine. IF the story stuff wasn't just pushed in your face. The dev obviously forgets about whole characters at a time because they all just disappear for long periods of time. And all the "mysterious forces" at work are not communicated well AT ALL. Lyz whole call to action was "Hmm.. I feel some weird force to go back in and talk to her." That is the only time MC has any more supernatural sensitivity. Outside of a fever he has for a day that cause him to faint because of the angel. And that introduces Jessica who talks just as ambiguously and fades into obscurity as well. Just make up your mind Dev. And there's even another layer of ambiguity on the plot because of the poor localization of the translation. I honestly don't know what I was thinking in my old review, because the grammar and dialogue gets worse over time. Sometimes, if I sat there and thought for a second, I would understand what the characters meant, but other times I would read lines over and over and not understand a thing. The amount of times a line starts with "Well, but..." I started to get annoyed. The "Well" is mistranslated, it's supposed to be "Alright." If the Dev decided to sit down and write a real story, this could be okay. But it's clear, especially after adding a NEW GIRL that it's just written as: "Which character do YOU want to see this month." And after "v0.14 part 2" whatever the hell that was about, the models weren't quite the same nor did it feel the same either. At the time of writing I'm fairly certain I'm at or near the end of this latest update, but I'm sure there's no more story, or if there is, it'll be ambiguous pronouns followed by a cliffhanger and a character running out of the room crying. Spoiler: old review Hey there. Me again. The idiot that's too critical of dumb porn games. Anyway at the time of writing this exact sentence I don't know what to give this game. So let's get to the nitty-gritty and see how I feel at the end. First I will say its not bad at all. Theres an actual story happening which is rare for these never ending games. The characters don't feel like total robots and the quality is above average I guess. See already starting off better than most of my other reviews? BUT a LOT of the dialog is just verbal nothings. Lines that say the same thing as either something said previously or literally the line before it. The spelling and grammar mishaps are few and far between so I won't berate it for that its more the dialog isn't great. The main character makes no sense and neither does the story. See what happened there? I praised it for a story then said it makes no sense. Because it was interesting to start. Ancestor ghost thing comes to make life strange for MC when he returns home. But suddenly the ghost is not only not his ancestor but just completely is gone for possibly multiple updates and that whole storyline just stops. It just becomes a harem nukige that's more of a kinetic novel. I blinked for a moment and one part of the Stefani story I completely missed I will say, that's on me. But the big mystery thing finally comes back this update and what are we left with? Nothing. The ambiguous talk and mysterious pronouns are cute at the beginning of a story but it gets annoying this far in. So there's two possibilities for this. Either the whole thing is all written out somewhere and there's 5 seasons of this show ready to go. Or, and more likely, It's all written for the updates and the story is shoehorned into sex scenes. I think my issue is the story I want to know about got sidelined so I'm butthurt about it. But also the writing and storyline is messy. So its frustrating. Like something will happen then it jump cuts back like in anime and I'm not a fan of that. And once again this is not bad. I'm critical on it because I actually like it. I feel it needs greater direction and planning (but I literally think that for all these monthly patreon games) but for once I was invested in the characters a bit. So give this one a play and actually read it instead of using your mouse macro that clicks 1000 times a second to get through to the nudey bits. (I'm guilty of that on some games too haha). Either way Dev, keep up the good work. And please, JUST GIVE ME A CRUMB OF STORY DETAILS IM FRUSTRATED THAT I DONT KNOW WHATS HAPPENING.

This is Not Heaven simply isn't very good. The developer tends to blame his/her English as the main reason as to why his/her game is failing, but when in truth the problem lies much deeper than that. Discounting the language flaws, the story right from the get-go is an incoherent, context-lacking mess with writing filled to the brim with pacing issues, and it only gets worse with each update. The flaws can be somewhat overlooked in the beginning because you thought the story and its plot will eventually flesh itself out to solidify the premise, but dead wrong, it never happens, and likely never will. At one point the developer felt dejected and wanted to abandon this title because of lack of Patreon support (blaming language barrier), so he/she tried to end the story prematurely; however, after seeing a mini influx of a few sympathetic Patrons, he/she decided to do a complete 180 to continue again, but by then the damage was done, the story has become even more of a muddled mess. When it comes to characters, the MC is quite easily one of the most dislikeable I've ever come across in an adult VN. Just through and through an absolute bi-polar, pretentious douche-bag with barely any redeemable quality. Due to the poor writing, all the characters are dumb as a rock and barely have any stand out personalities EXCEPT Lila, who was suppose to be the core of the story BUT the developer decided to phase out anyway likely because he/she have completely lost vision of the original direction (if there ever was one).

Rating this on version .12 I want to give this game 5 stars, it really is a good game. The characters are engaging and appealing, however i have to be fair and drop it one star for several reasons. 1. The "supernatural" aspect of it. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge supernatural fan and that has a lot to do with my being a fan of this game. However, the writer/dev has completely gone of the track here. It seems as if he really doesnt know how to deal with this particular subplot, and at this point its all but dead. A shame really. The MC was supposed to have trained as a Shaman and have abilities, yet later in the game we find out he has no fucking clue about even the simplest supernatural constructs, even to the point he cant even find his own familiar. 2. The writing. Same problem as the supernatural subplot, although to a lesser degree. It's all over the place. Changing character's behavior in the middle of the story willy nilly (ie making Triss a femdom when clearly shes sub) doesnt fit, makes for a very confusing game. (probably trying to please some of his patrons). I believe that the above problems can be fixed, and i hope the dev really sits down, comes up with a plot outline before he puts pen back to paper.. he can still come out with a win on this Edit: 10/25/22 Sadly dev did not or could not learn from advices given during production and ran the entire project straight into the ground. Others have reviewed in far more accurate detail and so i shall leave it at that. What a dissapointment. *shakes head* I hope he can remake the game, and actually have a storyline this time.
