Unholy Maiden

I have very conflicted feelings about this game. It's a mixed bag with a lot of positives and negatives. I respect the effort, amount of content and ambition of this game and that's why it gets 4/5. It really depends on the person though, the game is not for everyone and it can be 5/5 if you're willing to tolerate all the negatives or easy 1/5 if you just like when the game doesn't tries to prevent you from enjoying it every 5 seconds. On the bright side: this game has tons of content, big replay ability potential with different builds and quest endings and lots of secrets, good amount of kinky scenes. On the not so bright side: good luck trying to figure out anything without the guide and I mean ANYTHING. The game doesn't care if you miss the content or stuck on something, you're mostly on your own and even with hints it's hard to achieve or find something in this game. The game also likes to waste your time on lots of things and makes sure you can't progress too much. There are also some annoying moments like buying guns replaces normal weapons instead of just adding guns to the list. It's not 1 overlooked moment, there's just too many to name, the game could have been better polished.

Highly detailed, great corruption progression, great art. Including a nice clothing system and a great variety of scenes. Soundscape is good as well. The protagonist is nice and thick, 'realistically' displayed, great ass and tits that don't defy gravity. Easily in the top 15 greatest h-games, at least in my book.

Finally! Some good fucking RGPM cuisine. I'm so used to eating Japanese slop that when a masterfully crafted game comes around my corner I'm shocked into realisation that there are higher forms of flavour. Genuinely all parts of this game are all so well made. I could gush about all the different aspects of this game that make it great. But i won't. If you like a slow burn corruption of the MC with the same dungeon that resets every day, then you MUST give this a shot. And if you want to know more, then read the other reviews for more information, nerd.

One of the best games ive played. Gameplay is excellent. Scenes are great. Atla is amazing. Only thing id ask for is more scenes added to existing places (more scenes in the bathhouse). This is the first review ive made for a game on this website.

I’ll be honest, I initially picked this up for the art, but I wasn’t expecting such good gameplay with genuine depth. Most titles in this genre treat the combat as a secondary chore, but here, the RPG Maker systems are actually utilized to create a challenging loop The progression feels rewarding, and the way the 'unholy' mechanics tie directly into your character’s stats adds a layer of strategy that keeps you engaged between the fanservice scenes. It manages to balance a dark, oppressive atmosphere with a combat system that doesn't just let you steamroll through

I wanted to like this a lot more. The art is great and the scenes as well. Gameplay is serviceable. The sex scenes however are sometimes to hard to find, its a porn game don't hide that shit. Combat sex scenes should be more complicated and numerous. You will be fighting a lot and the enemies are hard to avoid, they move way faster then you and if they spot you with their very generous vision you will have to fight and they respawn when you leave a room. It gets way too grindy. Quests and story threads are hard to keep track of. Biggest draw back and the reason I am writing this review is the map. It is beyond confusing, I played SMT2 on the snes so I am familiar with confusing maps but no joke the most confusing set of maps I've ever personally expierenced. I'm trying to jack off and you're throwing me into this intentionally confusing map with very little porn in it. And the confusing nature bloats the playtime and makes the sex scenes spread very far apart at times. Idk man killing bats and being lost for an hour doesn't make me horny. There is a mod for a map that does somewhat remedy it. The game just sort of lured me in with all the 5 star reviews and the seemingly intricate systems presented at character creation. Only to play the game and the systems are shallow and only serve to bloat the game. Oh and speaking of bloat seduction checks tied to flowers that only spawn once a day or are random drops. Wanna whore out the mc well too bad your out of flowers, go to sleep buy some more, go to the bar to pass the time to night then you can see your cutscene. Like everything in this game serves to just space out the sex scenes for no reason. I get that dev wanted to add cool stuff other then the porn but why do I have to spend literal hours getting lost in these giant garbage boring maps? WHY IS THE PORN SO HARD TO GET IN A PORN GAME?!

Seems so deep and promising on the surface, but is ultimately disappointingly shallow. The H events, especially the later ones, lean hard into that humiliation based "uncouth erotic" that does nothing for me. Wish I could have loved this one.

Pretty in-depth rpg with some Fallout New Vegas and Dark Souls vibes. Pros: A lot of secret areas to explore and abilities to acquire with a decent game longevity. Possibility of different playstyles such as pure strength builds, status effects builds and firearms. Many in-game features and variety which gives the player the choice between good or bad. Cons: A lot of abilities but poor equipment UI. You have to scroll up and down through a massive list each time you want to change an ability which is a bit old-fashioned but forgettable. Some areas are painful to explore more specifically the 2nd layer because of how annoying the enemies are. The music could've been better as well but not the worst i've heard. Some events don't trigger like if you kill shrine maiden Amanda and sell a flower to Shrine Maiden Hilda, she'll act like Amanda is still alive.. Also, the game has a new game+ option where you can carry over all of your EXP but i don't see the point of it because nothing is different in that mode not even the difficulty. The true ending is kinda abrupt as well and felt like it was rushed due to fans. In spite of those nitpicks, this is an interesting game with a roguelike and epic loot system which are extremely hard to find but rewarding. I'm also happy that the game contains a holy maiden ending and doesn't void you from that at the end

This game sets the tone as to what a good rpgm should be with the amount of detail and thought put into the game. A big thing thats missing imo is Live2d/3d animations, It also could have been left in the oven to cook more but thankfuly theres Modders/Mods for that. Overall Score 7.5/10

the game is immersive and kinda fun to play, but the sex scenes not really much, u have to go and look for them and although they're hot some kinda look weird to me and the lack of map make it kinda difficult to navigate the dungeon map, some part required thinking.

Why is the map so complicated? I understand they took inspiration from Souls games, but it just makes it frustrating to navigate. I'm not going to commit days to memorise a porn game's layout. Some of the scenes are hot, but they're few and far between. A lot of the stats seemingly do nothing, and are slow to increase? I.e Goblin brainwashing does NOTHING once you hit 100 (This takes hours of real grinding) and the move to increase this stat barely triggers.

Story - 8/10 + The actual story nearing the end and "plot twists" are pretty nice and while it takes a small part of the gameplay and comes only at few specific times, was interesting enough to hook me into wanting to learn about it. +It has different routes you can take and multiple endings, most are pretty similar with small variations but the path itself is fun for someone who wants something more or less vanilla. -During most of the gameplay the story is an afterthought, especially with how long it becomes thanks to the grinding. Art - 10/10 +Probably best part of the game, the art itself is nice, the characters are bot hot and simple +You have a few outfits to choose from, they show at all times on the screen and break as you fight, though there aren't that many styles they are still hot and fit the character -No animations whatsoever, though I personally didn't mind much H Scenes/Content - 8/10 +It has some variety over what kind of content you want though mostly is about the same, people taking advantage of you, then again some of these you can avoid by paying attention, which is nice +If you for some reason wanna look for a vanilla pure run you can manage that as well, and it has at least (that I remember) 2 vanilla routes, pretty nice +On the other hand with the guys who initially take advantage of you, you can continue meeting them and eventually fall in love and end with them as well, pretty nice. Gameplay - 7/10 +-Despite being the same standard fighting and grinding gameplay you would expect, battles didn't feel that tiring and you have some sort of choice over how to build her. +You can actually chose what to do, what events to trigger and even to actively avoid certain bad events if you are already aware they will happen, leading to some split scenarios but nothing crazy. -My least favorite part is the corruption system which sucks, it affects NPC events only as you can still get fucked by enemies regardless, however raising or lowering corruption is absurdly slow and feels disconnected from your actual gameplay, while it locks some content that basically makes you grind for it, it doesn't feel smooth at all. Audio - 7/10 +While not every single line is voiced it is voiced over and it's really well done, doesn't feel out of place and adds to the experience -No particularly remarkable soundtrack, but it does a good job and doesn't feel like a copy paste. Overall 4.5/5 I am a little biased because I enjoy games where you have to grind, but even then some of the corruption grinding feels boring, still it's a fun game gameplay wise (at least the first time), the art is among the hottest I've seen in most games, it has a customizable character while I love, and a somewhat interesting story to look at when you're done with the sexual content and wanna finish the game.

This must be the most retarded game design i have ever seen ! Every part of the game designed like moving stairs on hogwarts. Not one building is distinguishable and i am not even gonna talk about fucking dungeon ! Perfect example of just bec you added bunch of shit doesnt make it good. One item takes u hours to find just bec they didnt let anybody test this shit. Absolute waste of time. Decent art other than that dont waste time here move on.

This is a surprisingly good rpg. The NPCs and dialouge are actualy immersive and intresting. The worldbuilding, syetems, and mechanics of exploreing and liveing are the most fun Ive had in an rpgmaker game. There is so much to do and most of it is pretty well designed. Art is also great. For a ero game this is pretty impressive.

Good -Amazing art and character design -Sex scenes are incredible, lots of fetishes and I love the lewd poses she makes. The dialogue during sex is also great (other than some minor MTL errors) -Gameplay is actually not boring, I wouldn't go as far as to say 'fun' (explained below), but generally it is engaging -Lots of scenes, I was able to unlock most of them in a single playthrough, the rest were unlocked by obtaining the full gallery -The sound effects and voice acting adds to the immersion and enjoyabliity of the game. It's nothing groundbreaking but it is good. -I love the many outfits you can equip, though I wish they were reflected in all the sex scenes OK -Gallery can be fully unlocked by obtaining one of the items near the end of the game, but it doesn't include every scene -Battlefuck is OK, I've seen a lot of comparisons of this game with Karryn's Prison, but the battelfuck aspect is not at all the same. This game's battlefuck is similar to typical RPGs where it's just the enemy raping the MC rather than the MC deliberately using skills to fuck the enemy. It's not bad in this game as there are a few enemies you can fuck mid battle Bad -The quests/endings are quite abrupt and I feel a bit underwhelming -The direction is confusing at times. There is no map or guidance and there were many times where I wasn;'t sure what I was supposed to do next. This is also tied with the issue above, where a quest will just end suddenly and I didn't even realise it at the time. I do recommend uising a walkthrough (though even the walkthrough is a bit confusing) -The exploration could have been a lot more fun, the main issue is that the enemies respawn everytime you leave the room. The fact that they spot you and move to you so fast means that this can make exploration quite frustrating. If the game had just made it so that the enemies only respawn every night, or everytime you slept, then it would be a lot better. -Censorship

TLDR: The effort itself that the dev put into this game, is more impressive than the result of that effort. +Good art quality. +Good sound. +Dark fantasy world. +-Actual gameplay with some depth, but town-variety is lacking. +-Hot sex scenes with some depth, but variety and amount is lacking. +-Mc will not be everyone's cup of tea due to her thicc-ness. +-Theatrics in some sex scenes will not be everyone's cup of tea. -Only one town to hang out in. -Basically no story at all - you have some business in the dungeon, that's the whole story lol. Very few interesting quests too, also nothing really happens unless you go find some npc and start something yourself. The world stands still until you decide to move it, you can mostly forget about events and random encounters and stuff like that. -I did not find the way stats work fun, it felt like they were there mostly to just gatekeep you from content, like, pick the stat you want to access content that depends entirely on that stat kinda thing. Like beauty. Plus, not all stats are equal in their usefulness. For example dex is overpowered by default, since if you go dex you can do well in combat, easily open all doors and chests, and access some shortcuts to boot if i remember right. -Too few traits mc can gain in game, especially fun ones. -Powering up your stats quickly becomes obscenely expensive, and that's on top of the stat cap. Afterword: Like i said in tldr i am more impressed by the effort itself, rather than by what resulted from that effort. But who cares about my nerdy opinion when we have big TITS and thicc ASS on the plate, right? So i guess dev succeeded in the 'porn' part (somewhat) if not quite in the 'game' part of this project. Have fun~

Very good experience with decent amount of content, maybe 20 hours of content and more if you count replayability. The story kinda speeds up near the finish, which is kinda fine since the twist is quite unexpected. The RPG mechanic is simple, yet solid with progression being manageable and observable. And the devs puts up a lot of QoL feature here and there to help speeds/skips some things over My only qualms with it is that the true ending is hard to get as the information to get the key items is... almost non-existent(?) dunno, the NPCs never hinted the existence of the true ending requirement. I really needed to open some guides to get it correct, the 3rd time after some scum saving. I think the developer expect people to find the true ending from new game+

While this game is good, I don't really see why it has 4 stars. I am not a good reviewer so I'll just point out the cons. Sex Scenes - While the scenes are good, the variations are a bit numb. - There is no skip button for scenes. The s key isn't super fast. - There is barely any sex scenes unless you are looking for it. Fight Scene - You can't speed up the auto-battle. Holding enter cancels the auto-battle. Especially the hypnosis scene which just slows down the battle. Lack of Direction - There is no easy way to tell where you're going in the 1st Floor, like what to open next, etc. Stats - Okay a pro and a con, you have to invest your stats based on a currency that continuously cost more. Which is a fresh idea. Recollection Room - It doesn't have a preview, just text before you decide whether you want to recall it. Overall I say it's playable. Just a bit troublesome. Note: I might have missed something otherwise why is there so many high ratings. Hmm dislike or ping me if I did.

I've spent the past 4 days binging this game. This game...is fun, the world is immersive, the game-play loop relatively unobtrusive, the dialogue excellent, and the scenes are just spectacular. It takes a small step away from rape saturation and into the more human component of debauchery, and I love that. The game has great scenes and while some of the scenes are missing from the gallery selection, I don't feel bad at all about save scumming with that 40 save slot selection. The combat is unforgiving, though not in an incredibly unfair or impossible manner. Love this games style, not so much that I'd rate it a 5 but the effort and polish of this game is clear, it definitely stands above in the rpg h-game genre as a fitting testament to how and why the genre is still so accessible and fun.
