Velvet Ledger [v0.2.5] This very short initial release (kinetic novel, for now) seems to have a grounded story with decent character development and a lot of potential. The writing is solid and stays focused on the relevant parts of the plot. That said, it’s still too short to get overly enthusiastic about it and rate higher than 3 stars. Visually, we’re served generic AI slop, and I honestly had a hard time spotting meaningful differences between two of the three women shown so far. The choice to use Ren’Py for this phone-based VN is clearly a good one, especially for replayability and exploring other routes that will hopefully be added later. That said, the developer really should take better advantage of Ren’Py’s strengths and separate phone messages from scenes that clearly take place outside of chats. My interest has definitely been piqued, and I’ll be keeping an eye on its development for now.

v.2.5- The renders are pretty good ai, and the ui seems polished. Players more like a vn then a phone game since it's all on one screen, you aren't really going back and forth with chat windows.....eventhough everything is on the phone lol. Rosy definitely a bad influence, and a shame the wife is so malleable/weak minded. Least alex appears a friend at the early start of the story so far. Investing in crypto with a small fortune instead of something saver, what could go wrong? As others mentioned you have a choice, but you can't click on it, is that because it's not written yet? If so a note should be made on that choice. I dont like the fast you can't fastforward through text with tab or ctrl. megan's name is wrong after the shower scene. This is a very very short short, more like a demo. Dev has multiple stories going, so i'm sure this will be abandoned thus a low score. It has potential, and i'll raise my rating if more updates do happen. The pacing is a little fast, and somethings are just not explained, which i'm sure that will happen later in the story. Not many renders per chapter...and no animations.
