The current codebase has reached "held together by good intentions and duct tape" status, so the backend is now being completely rewritten to support proper choices, cleaner progression, and a saner developer. The screens from the original game were barely functional and full of errors. In the meantime the phone will provide a list of available scenes, however multiple play-throughs may be required to play them all, just as in the original game. When development of the new screens is complete, you should be able to play all scenes on a single play-through, and choose which LI’s you interact with, without loosing any content from others. In addition, an Android version is under development, but may not yet available. Oh boy, does this little VN have a WAY too high rating (at the time of this writing) I dont even know where to begin to point out all the flaws in this VN. I think the biggest crime here, is to even associate this with the original "View of Family". Sure that one never got finished and whatnot. But this mess of AI slop is SO far from being close to the original. I'm not sure if the dev of this VN thought it would pull more players if he claim it to be a "Remake" of an old and somewhat popular VN. Say what you want about AI, it has it's pros and cons, I think we all can agree on that. But it is extremely, and I do mean extremely poorly used here. This "VN" is so much worse, than your average "HTML game with 'real porn' where the actors are different from scene to scene". Here they literally change HAIRSTYLE within ONE second. Oh yeah, the immerson is high in this one lol. I would not rate high nor low solely based on a "game" using AI or not. So my score is not based on that. BUT, the use of AI here, is so unbelievably bad, that the dev should REALLY close down shop. Redo it all from scratch, learn Ren'py or Unity, or ANYTHING, and pose models. This is a nightmare to watch. There's a LOT of issues here. Missing images GALORE. Half-assed "sandbox", where if you in the current build at least, are on the UPPER floor of the house, there's no obvious button to click to go DOWNSTAIRS. You literally have to enter a room, and then you'll have a button for downstairs. (ps. in the very bottom of the screen if you hover there, then you can go downstairs, but just like the 1st floor and the livingroom, it's not very clear that you have to hover the cursor at the very bottom of the screen, just terrible) Last time I played this, I think was it's initial release. It was terrible then, but figured now, with a number of updates, I've given the VN *and* the Dev a fair chance to fix this trainwreck. Sorry to say, it's just as bad. In a way it's even worse, because there's now even MORE content that's BROKEN. It takes you out of any attempt to immerse yourself in this VN, when EVERY character changes their appearance in what would equal to 4 seconds of 'hanging out' with them. As I already mentioned, missing images is an issue. I got to day TWO and had *nothing* to do, nothing to trigger. Went into Mia's room, caught her semi-naked. Left room. Then entered room again, she was talking with her teddybear. Some damn music started playing, and this music never stopped playing. I went to the park, , to the barber, everywhere I went, that music kept on playing. There's no real clue or anything what to do. First day, when you begin playing, it's somewhat easy. In my latest run of this horrible VN, I decided to go with mommy dearest to work. Later that evening, I was apparently gonna help Emma with studying or whatever. Emma being a student or whatever. Nothing hot at all in that event. I think there might've been something lewd going on, but not that I could see. Then suddenly she had white...stuff...what I assume is cum very weirdly positioned on her upper body. With the textbox saying something about "video of emm with mouth full of cum" EH? what? Got back home, movienight with mommy dearest. Gave her a massage, managed to see her nipple. Suddenly her titties are smaller than they were earlier that same day. Then when she realized she was flashing her tit, she got up, and I was treated to yet another horrible, nightmare-fuel image, her eyes looked scary as fuck. Her pupils and iris's were REALLY small. She looked like some cartoon character that's part of a nightmare. If I could see even a slight chance for this VN, I would've gladly pointed out or made a list for the dev of ALL the broken and/or horrible stuff, in hopes to help him. And I DO wish him the best, but man, this is a terrible VN. There's literally not a single redeeming factor here. Hot girls? Nah, they look different from scene to scene. Everything, well almost everything, just looks and feels and appears very hastily put together and half-baked. And that's without me even bringing up all the OBVIOUS AI problems. There's plenty of typos, so I dunno what our dear Mr "5 star" reviewer was on about. "I gotta bail" - as in I have to go, was for example written as "I gotta bale". Bale? Wtf, are we farmers now? Haveta instead of Have to? Sure maybe that's a way of speaking, but that's not effing english. I'm sure there's plenty of content in the current build that I didnt get to see. But that's not me giving up or being impatient. It's me finding ZERO hints or clue what to do, and the game giving me nothing. What the game gives me on day two is, missing image in the living room for some reason. Kitchen is bugged out, saying something "where's the glasses" What effing glasses? And error text about missing images or whatever on the topleft of screen. I could go on and on, but this is LITERALLY one of the aboslute WORST games on the entire F95 forum. I am *NOT* kidding. Damn, I wish the orginal View of Family would get a proper reboot. Not this hidious and terrible excuse of a VN. If the dev reads this, I *am* sorry for tearing this project of yours a new asshole, but man this is such a mess and nightmare to even TRY to play. Even IF things were working, it's uncanny valley and really poor use of AI. I'm someone that avoids those HTML games that uses "real porn" as those are also terrible. As it gives me not joy to see the woman change appearances from one render to the next. Or how the "MC" is suddenly a completely different dude in the video the dev stole to profit from. But this VN however, is even worse than those 'games'. At least those games...work. At least this one doesnt seem to have a completely different 'actress' in the middle of an event, so I guess... plus point for that? Fine, that's the 1-star, otherwise it would've been 0 stars(which you cant give sadly) I've given this VN a fair chance. But it's now obvious that the impression from the first release of this so-called remake, is what I should've listened to. It didnt get better. More content maybe, but ZERO improvements in quality. Burn this one with fire, and then burn it again.

For me this is a short yet good introduction of a new game and recommended play. I'm not a huge fan of AI art and prefer real porn but the mix of both works for me and certainly allows for more creativity in posing scenes. The short intro includes plenty of lewd scenes, maybe even too many for the first few minutes but I can understand one wants to show off a little in a first release and the scenes are mostly well integrated into the story. I never played the original and it seems that one did not have a long history which leaves plenty of room for the remake to fill in missing bits and collect its own merits. The dev did not start with a patreon or SS account which underlines this game being a personal project and not just a money grab. As for the story, there will be no NTR/sharing but I hope he puts in some nice adversaries (father returns?) and obstacles to give us a challenge before conquering the love interests. As a fan of family corruption games I am looking forward to future releases of this one.

I don't understand why the dev claimed this is a 'resurrection' of View of Family. If you haven't made a game before, its almost inevitable that your first game is going to look like a pale shadow next to whatever its imitating. Which is true here. AI CGs have come a long way in quite a short space of time, but these feel dated and of poor quality. Lots of dodgy artifacts in all the usual places, particularly faces. The replacement characters are not very appealing at all. Partly due to the poor art, and partly due to the dev trying to copy something without fully understanding what he's copying. The story feels very generic. It has similarities to the original, but since porn games copy from each other, all the ideas have also appeared somewhere else since. you could change the name of this game, and I doubt many people who played the original would draw a connection between the two. Which really begs the question, why bother? Unless you're really good, you aren't going to satisfy the fans of the original, which this doesn't even come close to, and those who didn't like the original, will likely be turned off this because of that association. Between the weak quality, and the very high likelihood that this project won't survive anywhere near as long as the original, I can't see any reason to recommend this. I suppose it's more original than another Big Brother clone, but that's about all I can say in it's favour.
