About When It All Started
When It All Started is an adult visual novel made by Kalyha in Ren'Py. You play a nineteen-year-old man living in a large downtown house with his landlady and two roommates. During summer holiday, he plans to reconnect with his sisters and recently married aunt while spending time on video games and friends. His father is a computer engineer working overtime, and his mother, Natasha, clashes with him over his attitude toward school. After two thieves break into the house and take him and Natasha hostage, a compromising situation changes the family’s life. The game uses 3DCG art and focuses on romance and corruption.
The current build is v0.04, released October 22, 2023, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, and it is uncensored. The update adds 506 new renders, story progression for Natasha, Emily, and Cynthia, and two new female side characters, Caroline and Grace. It also fixes relationship variables and typos, preserves old saves with the new relation points system, keeps replay gallery compatibility, and adds a character information screen for tracking relationship progress.

You are a 19 year old young man living a peaceful life with your "landlady" and two "roommates" in a big house located in downtown. Back from school on summer holiday you plan on spending time between reconnecting with your sisters and recently married aunty and playing video games with your friends. Your parents are working hard every day to provide for the family. Especially your dad, a computer Engineer, who's been working overtime for weeks to finish an important project. Spoiler Your mother, Natasha, is annoyed by your nonchalant attitude towards school and thinks you are wasting time playing video games instead of focusing on your studies. This leads to many arguments between the two of you causing a strain on your relationship. But one night, when you and your mother were the only ones in the house, two thieves break into your home and take you both hostage during their robbery. In order to escape with the stolen goods and to make sure you won't call the police immediately after they leave, they decided to put Natasha and yourself in an compromising situation. A situation that will change your family's lives forever. That's when it all started...
