It's your winter vacation. You were in your apartment hiding inside your heating table to keep yourself warm. Then, you received a phone call from your aunt. Sensing a deja vu, you hurriedly press the button and receive the call. I won a lucky draw and got a ticket for a Hot Spring trip! Sorry again for the short notice, but can you come over and look after Hazuki again? The countryside I last visited in summer must have changed now that it's winter... I wonder how she's been doing...... Your thoughts wander as you pull yourself out of the heating table and get yourself ready for a trip to the contryside.

Overview This title offers a compelling blend of daily life simulation and intimate character progression. Set against a nostalgic backdrop, the game focuses on building a deep connection with the main heroine through meaningful interactions and time-sensitive events. It successfully captures a "slice-of-life" atmosphere while keeping players engaged with its rewarding mechanics. Gameplay & Mechanics The core gameplay revolves around a smart time-management system where moving between locations advances the day. This adds a layer of strategy, as certain events—like cooking in the kitchen or relaxing on the porch—only trigger at specific hours. The "Follow Mode" is a standout feature, allowing for organic interactions that evolve based on two primary stats: Affection and Lust Level. Unlike many games in this genre, the scenes here aren't static; they change and grow more detailed as your relationship deepens, which makes every playthrough feel unique. Visuals & Completion Visually, the game is polished, featuring a variety of outfits—from school uniforms to swimsuits—that directly impact the scene variations. For completionists, the "Recall Mode" is excellent, providing helpful hints for unlocking missed content. The inclusion of an "Extra Mode" and clear-data carryovers provides great replay value. Final Verdict Overall, it is a well-crafted experience that balances a cozy atmosphere with high-quality content. Whether you are a casual player or a completionist aiming to fill the gallery, this game offers a satisfying and immersive journey.
Honestly quite disappointing. This sequel feels more like a DLC. The pixel scenes remain kinda the same as the first one, and for some reason most of the pixel POV scenes only focus on sex, which is nice but quite repetitive. There are no camping or beach events which is quite a shame and the gameplay loop is still basically the same. There are minor improvements like skip text or the fact that the gallery is way less tedious to fill than the first game. Still, there are noticeable downgrades such as most items only having pixel scenes instead of the full on POV pixel animations. Another issue is the emphasis on basic static image CGs. Most of the sex scenes in the CGS could have been replaced by POV animations and the game would have been spectacular. Still, they went for the run of the mill CGs you see in almost every other eroge and in which even Hazuki looks insanely plain. Worst part is the general lack of creativity with the scenes and most importantly that the nude item that unlocks every nude scene can only be obtained (without hints mind you) on a very specific day at a very specific time of the day. I was thinking of rating it a 3*, but the quality in this series is not average art wise, but think of Summer as a solid 4* and this one is a 3.5* sadly. Lots of missed potential and the game feels like a bad recycle of the first game.
Winter Life in the Countryside is a sequel to Summer Life developed by Dieselmine, continuing the seasonal romance of a young couple in the same pleasant little village. This time, they find new ways to pass the time and enjoy the new year festivities. The sequel retains almost every gameplay mechanic from its predecessor but introduces a bit more content, considering the time constraints and upcoming events during the time allowed. Other than that, the game remains largely the same, though it undeniably improves on the original formula. The developers recognized that the pixel animations were the standout feature and added more scenes that focus on them. A major improvement is the completely uncensored version of the game, allowing players to fully enjoy each scene without rolling their eyes at ridiculous japanese restrictions. If you liked Summer Life, you’ll enjoy Winter Life even more because it is pretty much more of the same. After finishing the game, you can restart using your complete save file, which unlocks extra content and gives you options to fully unlock the gallery. Winter Life certainly deserves a higher rating than its predecessor, though the lingering sense of wasted potential still hangs over the series. Perhaps Spring Life in the Countryside will finally be a masterpiece.
Its tough reviewing this game for several reasons. - first of all game has amazing art style in some of the scenes, not all of them look that great but some are a lot better than any other porn game had to offer, there is a lot of them in first game, in this one its probably 2 that i really liked - game didnt improve at all from first game, besides short story and few new scenes its almost everything recycled from the old one, there are some small events, its winter instead of summer obviously, but besides that this should be just a "dlc" and not standalone game. However at least it works properly, first one had issuses where you had to change system langue to japan and some other shenanigans - well, there is not much more to review here, still im proudly giving it 5 stars just for artstyle/animations. I shake my head not understanding why devs dont do more with this game cause clearly it needs affection/relationship system, some gameplay and story to be a real thing, such an good graphics wasting for a "scene collector" game.
I played v1.0 which had some bugs, all of that is fixed now. I loved Summer Life in the countryside so, obviously I loved this one also, but I can't give it 5 stars. There are times where you have to walk aimlessly looking for some scenes, this game has a lot, which is nice but the progression could have been done better. The animations and voice acting are GREAT so, definetly play this vanilla h game, it's gold.
This is pure bias but I love this game since the previous game also my first H-game I ever play. It simple, have good art and sound. Enjoyable for anyone want vanila type game give it a try if you haven't try it or you love the previous game
This game's striking resemblance to Winter Memories evokes strong nostalgia. The potential is immense, demanding further updates or a sequel to fully realize its promise. Five stars, eagerly awaiting its evolution.
It's a worthy sequel to Summer ~Life in the Countryside~. Both are cool game with no real grind, that just let you focus on find all possible sex scenes. GC scenes could be animated, but beside from that there is enough content as pixel art or "large dot animations".
This sequel is perfect, I liked all the animations and CGs, even if you miss a scene it's fine, as long as it's completed you can continue and unlock it until you have them all. Very recommended game and while it doesn't need you to play the previous one, it's of course something you'd like to do first to have a beatiful context. I hope it's not final yet, meaning to have a third game in future to conclude their relationship in a very good way, something like 'City Life with you' or something where either you or her move on to the city or countryside to spend their days together.
It's a good art project that desperately need a touch of a game designer. If you played previous game of this developer, almost everything is the same. Location, gameplay systems and all that. And yes, if you remember in first game you just max out the stats in the first day because time didn't move and collect scenes, well it's the exact same here. It's a pure scene collector with barebones turbo minimal plot if you wanna call it that, if you just care about main story/events you can do it all within like 30-40 minutes. The big difference this time is there actually ARE some events this time and much less days are spent doing absolutely nothing, having parents for some of the days is nice too because it changes the state of the house. Artstyle is still great, animations are fluid and well done, audio design is mostly good. Can say nothing bad about the artistic part, but it's virtually unchanged from first game. Gameplay wise it's still a pointless barely functional nightmare. As i said you can max out stats on day 1 within 5 minutes and all that's left is to randomly roam to find unique scenes, if that's your cup of tea it's an alright time waster. However that comes at a cost of not having any tension or progressing relashionships, even when parents are home scenes don't change. As for the story, i was hoping it actually finally move somewhere, considering there is actually a little bit in here, but it completely preserves status quo and ultimately nothing happened or changed. Very dissapointing for a sequel. it's also hard to feel anything when your female protagonist is still the most lethargic person in the multiverse. But yeah, hire a gamedesigner, make an actual functioning gameplay system with progressing relashionship and this could work very well. As it stands it's a mediocre scene collector.
