== Abandoned Manor ==
Beta 0.26 includes a spooky new addition to Crimson City! An old abandoned manor has appeared in a forgotten section of the park. You can get there by going to the East District, south/down into the Park, and then west/left past the new gates.
This manor has long been rumored to be haunted. Some rumors even say that a few who have dared to explore the manor have never returned...
But it's probably all just silly rumors!
Exploring the manor might be worth the fright!

A brand new district can be unlocked and explored! In order to reach the Shopping District, you'll need to purchase the new Red Subway Card in the Bayou District's shop.
This location has a few hidden secrets and will expand a little more in future updates. More importantly, it's where you can rescue the newest survivor, Courtney!
== Courtney ==
Courtney Amelie LeBlanc is a celebrity well known for her beauty and fashion!
Rescuing her might be a bit of a handful... She's pretty high maintenance! But helping her with her difficult requests might be worth it in the end.

The primary focus of this update features a brand new sidequest involving both Meredith & Olivia!
After completing both of their main stories AND completing the initial events of The Underground (winning Violet Cup), a new event will automatically take place at home when a day has passed.
Before the zombie outbreak, Olivia had a part time job as a merchant of certain... 'goods'. But a change of heart means it's time to retrieve that lost merchandise.
Stealing back such a prized product probably won't go over too well though so make sure you're prepared!
== Bridgette ==
Bridgette also has a new request after completing her main story. She's been unable to restock on her special perfume. It's not just any perfume, however. Only a special merchant has the prize.
== Bathhouse ==
Last but not least, Stacy now has an interaction in the Bathhouse! Once you've constructed it and completed her main story, you'll be able to invite her for a wet & wild time!

To celebrate Meredith's victory in the 2024 Milf Showdown competition, Beta 0.22 includes a new, short event for her!
In the middle of the Grid, you'll find another event tour NPC* who looks like Meredith in a special super hero costume. There have been rumors of a sexy super hero stopping crime in Crimson City! But surely the legends of the Crimson Milf are just that, right?
Thank you to everyone who voted and participated in the Milf Showdown competition! These are always a fun way to involve the community and celebrating all of the fun, sexy characters in the games I've worked on! Meredith is clearly quite an especially beloved one!
*In a later update (likely one of the final updates) these special events will be properly added into the game requiring methods of unlocking in order to view. But for
now, these updates are meant to be easy to view on brand new save files!

The Frosty Court is a secluded district in the city with a famously chilly climate! In order to make sure the holidays feel nice and cozy, it'll be up to you to find the lost presents for and deliver the most delicious holiday treats!

you'll get to join in the fun too!

I hope you enjoy Michelle's storyline. The theme of it is to remain hopeful and never give up even when things are bleak.
== New Milkshake - Item Reveal ==
A new milkshake is also available to craft at Stacy's Diner! The Gold Leaf Milkshake will reveal hidden items around the map

== Content Update ==
Beta 0.14 introduces a sidequest storyline for Fiona, the bombshell queen of construction!
In order to begin her new storyline content, you will need to have first completed her main story quest involving opening
up the East Subway Tunnel. It's available pretty early on in the game so you don't need to progress far!
Fiona is always working on new ways to help give you more scavenging opportunities so perhaps she has some fun ideas in
mind this time. You'll have to talk to her yourself to find out!
== The Grid Expansions ==
Additionally, The Grid has had some general changes/improvements. Further customization options will be added with future
updates as well.
-- Gardens --
Gardens have received an overhaul in how they function. Every 3 days, your garden will be automatically harvested overnight.
In order to increase the yield, you can spend 1 water to hydrate the garden. Rainy days will automatically water it for
that day as well!
Players who regularly hydrate their garden will yield more fruit on average compared to the old daily harvest rate and water
now has another purpose that should make it a little more of a valuable resource
Interacting with the garden will let you check on how the garden is doing as well as the option to water it
-- Center Plot & Relocating --
The central plot to the left of the house can now be selected when building. Additionally, interacting with a plot that has
a construction will give you the option to move/swap it to a new location for added customization
-- Planter Customization --
The ability to customize the garden planters has been added. After meeting the initial construction requirements, you can
interact with them to change their appearance as you like.
More constructable options will be added to continue allowing for players to customize The Grid to their liking so stay tuned!

I think this would be an exceptionally good game if it focused more on its story and less on absurdity. The plot is interesting and when character quests directly tie with the plot, they also feel great. But then you have things like the girl who wants to spend a zombie apocalypse trying to find milkshake recipes, or the diva who thinks this is the perfect time for zombie themed photo ops. It breaks the flow of the game and just feels dumb. And he has 5 different 'special' events that are completely anachronistic. And while I don't have a problem with special events per say. With as much content as these 5 take up, he could easily have much more of the real game finished if he'd focused on that instead. Overall this is an interesting game that is left only in the average column for lack of focus.
This game is just as amazing as the 1st which introduces some of the MC's fuckbuddies who are also blood relatives to a few of the 1s belonging to the MC in the original game such as the nubile nurse, Michelle is the biological mother of the lovely lifeguard, Ashley & mentioning of a few others such as Natasha as well as having more content along with the fact that you don't need to deal with pesky zombies respawning but the downsides are that it features a completely different MC from the 1st, the lead pipe is a more terrible melee weapon than the club from the 1st & the challenges are much tougher
Scarlett Ann's artwork and animations are always great so I'm quite happy with that, but I can't help but to compare it to A Zombie's Life. For those who are unaware, both Zombie's Retreat 1 and 2 are based off a game by Nergal called A Zombie's Life. In that game resources are scarce, nights are dark, your home is claustrophobic, and upgrades to rooms are incremental. It has a much stronger Horror vibe whereas ZR 1 and 2 are much more "arcadey". I can't help but feel in the desire to add more girls and more QOL features they've missed much of the atmosphere that makes the old game good. ZR1 kind of went away from that, and as soon as I saw "the grid" I was immediately turned off by it. It's still good and the art for the H-scenes is much better, I just prefer the older horror style over the newer arcade-y style of gameplay.
I was excited at first, but overall just not as enjoyable as the first. Scenes are here and there and the maps much bigger, that's about it. Got tired of loooong dialogue/cutscenes for the story. sometimes it's like an hour between scenes.
Great game with attractive characters. The more animated scenes the better. Siren is a dev that actually finishes games and good ones at that so he earns full accolades from me. The people giving it 2 stars are delusional, there are so many trash games out there that lack good looking characters, animations or even gameplay and most that have some semblance of game play are visual novel grindathons but you rate this down because it doesn't live up to your ridiculous expectations?
Zombie’s Retreat 2: Gridlocked – A Disappointing Downgrade Zombie’s Retreat 2: Gridlocked is a painfully average sequel that fails to capture the charm and competence of its predecessor, Zombie’s Retreat 1 . The first game was a fun, self-contained survival story with a decent, if sometimes generic, cast, solid pacing, and a plot that balanced drama and intrigue. Its gameplay rewarded exploration, made resources feel scarce, and kept zombies a constant threat, creating tension. While the plot was simple, it had moments of excitement and memorable set pieces. Zombie’s Retreat 2 , however, feels like a step backward in nearly every way—uninspired, shallow, and at times poorly written. It’s not a terrible game, but it’s a letdown compared to the original’s passion. Below, I break down why, using the first game as a benchmark. Characters: Shallow and Uninspired The cast of Zombie’s Retreat 2 is the most lackluster Siren has ever produced, with characters that feel like hollow shells compared to the original’s flawed but functional ensemble. Let’s start with the protagonist, a Gary Stu so bland he makes the first game’s forgettable MC look compelling. The original MC was bashful, cautious, and grounded, pushing the plot forward through meaningful interactions and relationship-building. In Gridlocked , the MC is a personality-free “good guy” who does trivial tasks like picking up trash or saving a cat, and women instantly fall for him. His dialogue is forgettable drivel, his appearance feels try-hard, and he’s portrayed as overly important and badass without earning it. He lacks self-interest, acts oblivious, and feels like a lazy self-insert. I can’t name a single trait beyond “nice,” unlike the first MC’s relatable caution or atleast snarky and comical inner thoughts at times. The supporting cast fares no better, often feeling like watered-down versions of Zombie’s Retreat 1 characters. Jenny is as dull as the MC, with a plot so abrupt it’s laughable—do two simple tasks, and she delivers a cringe-worthy monologue proclaiming eternal love. Compare this to Rachel, who had spunk, attitude, and a distinct personality despite her simplicity. Nadia is a less intriguing Natasha, Stacy a less endearing Ashley, and Meredith a blander, less compelling Leslie. Meredith’s introduction highlights the downgrade: she’s immediately fine with the MC leaving and does nothing unless interacted with. Leslie, in contrast, freaks out when the MC returns with Rachel, checks on everyone, and tries to plan rationally, showing depth and care in just her opening moments. Leslie wrestles with her feelings for the MC, creating tension; Meredith’s romance just happens without as much inner doubt or genuine worry or wondering about her relationship with the Mc Olivia’s plot is a prime example of recycled, poorly executed ideas. It’s a worse version of Caroline’s storyline from the first game. Caroline’s arc had ambiance and dread, tied to being hunted by Johnny, her obsessive stalker. She worries about the MC’s safety, examines injuries as the group’s medic, and only risks danger to uncover truths about their situation, adding depth and grounding her role. Olivia, however, sends the MC into danger to retrieve her panties , laughs off a stalker situation because she enjoys time with Gary Stu and is sad when you solve it?! this lacks any sense of urgency despite the zombie threat. It’s not just silly—it’s incoherent and undermines the stakes. Other characters follow suit. Michelle risks your life and her life for a cat Which if you wanted to improve it just have her decide its not worth but The Mc can do it anyways to cheer her up that's a lot more natural and heart felt. Bridgette climbs a tower on a whim (not a deep-seated dream or at least doesn't give that impression very well), and then suddenly wants to fight corruption, a motive that feels tacked on. Stacy’s plot is a pale imitation of Ashley’s. Ashley’s arc is concise and heartfelt: a ditzy but genuine character who feels useless until she teaches the MC to swim, bonding through shared vulnerability. When she nearly gets the MC killed, her guilt and the MC’s support deepen their connection, revealing her character. Stacy’s plot? Drink milkshakes, kill her boss, make another milkshake. It’s mechanical and lacks heart. The exceptions are Lucy and Fiona. Lucy’s independence and mystery make her somewhat engaging, while Fiona’s lively, vibrant personality stands out in an otherwise dull cast. But even they can’t salvage a roster that’s bigger but undeniably worse—shallow, poorly paced, and recycling ideas without the original’s charm. Gameplay: Tedious and Tension-Free The gameplay in Zombie’s Retreat 2 is similar to the first game—loot, shoot, survive—but somehow feels worse. The milkshake mechanic is a highlight, offering boosts like faster looting or more items, though most are mediocre. The expanded map is a double-edged sword. On one hand, new areas like the underground with traders, unique items, and a coliseum are visually appealing and add variety. On the other, the larger map makes scavenging a slog, turning exploration into busywork. Worse, the zombies are barely a threat. In Zombie’s Retreat 1 , zombies respawned every few days, including fast ones that challenged you in cramped spaces, maintaining tension. Resources like food and water dwindled daily, forcing careful scavenging and adding weight to survival. In Gridlocked , zombies don’t respawn for 90% of the game, so you can clear them out early, erasing any danger. Avoiding them is too easy, and the game floods you with resources, making food and water management a non-issue. The survival mechanics that gave the first game stakes are gutted, leaving a hollow experience. Boss fights are another letdown. They’re often contrived, ranging from too easy to annoyingly repetitive (three shots and done). They add little to the plot or gameplay, sometimes even hindering both. Compared to the first game’s challenging encounters, these feel like afterthoughts. Main Story: A Retread Without Stakes The main story in Zombie’s Retreat 2 is a weaker rehash of the first game’s mystery and survival themes. In Zombie’s Retreat 1 , the MC actively drove the plot, uncovering secrets through exploration and events, keeping players in the dark for intrigue. In Gridlocked , the story hinges on Lucy’s actions, with the MC passively following her lead, showing little curiosity until she acts. The plot retreads familiar ground, like investigating the red orb from the first game, but lacks engagement since players already know key details. Constant references to the original feel like lazy nostalgia bait, not clever callbacks. The writing is a low point, relying on cheap tactics like flashbacks to explain characters or plot, which often create inconsistencies. For example, Lucy withholds critical information from the MC for no reason, undermining her character. A character introduced as a villain suddenly reveals he’s a good guy trying to save you, which just feels contrived because it relies on flashbacks and makes inconsistency in his character later on. The worst offender is Misty’s arc: after barely interacting with her (a paragraph’s worth of dialogue), she’s ready to unleash powerful zombies and declares loyalty to the antagonist. The MC stops her with a hug , instantly flipping her entire character. It’s not just bad—it’s laughably implausible. Lucy’s dynamic with the MC is one of the few bright spots, offering a simple but decent relationship. But the weak cast, plot holes, and reliance on contrived moments drag the story down, making it feel like a shadow of the original’s modest but effective narrative. Summary: A Letdown Cash Grab If Zombie’s Retreat 1 is an 8.5/10 for its passion, competence, and fun, Zombie’s Retreat 2 is a 5/10. The art is good, the characters exist, and the gameplay breaks up the monotony, but it feels like a cheap cash grab, not a labor of love. Siren’s earlier works like Town of Passion and Zombie’s Retreat 1 showed heart, and good characters even with flaws. Gridlocked is uninspired, with shallow characters, tedious gameplay, and downright awful writing at times. It’s hard to believe Siren made this. I can’t recommend it unless you’re desperate for something to play or loved the first game enough to tolerate a downgraded clone. For fans of the original, this sequel is a real disappointment.
Overall: This game is amazing! I love the art and characters! Art: Scarlet Ann comes back for the sequel and she's improved! The art for the characters was already incredible for ZR1, but I think this game is even better. All of the women in this game are beautiful and busty, with the animations and scenes being amazing as well Story: The story is very similar to ZR1: you pursue the storylines of different women while helping your base survive. Overall I think it's good, but it just didn't have the same punch as ZR1 did (at least for me). All the same, I love the characters and their interactions are really fun! Gameplay: It's an updated version of ZR1: you need ammo for your gun and supplies to help your base survive. You go out and scavenge during the day while building your harem. Gameplay additions have made scavenging less tedious though, so I think this is an improvement to the overall game
I liked the first Zombie's retreat so I was looking forward to more, and found myself rather disapointed. One of the biggest problems is the decision to expand the game's world. While a larger map might seem like a good idea, it actually detracts from the sense of threat and isolation that made the original so compelling. The vast spaces often feel empty and make encounters with zombies less frequent and less believable, diminishing the tension that is crucial in a survival horror game. The fact that the zombies don't respawn also takes away any sense of danger. The characters, especially the girls, feel less interesting and have weaker connections to the main hero. The protagonist himself is ... well... let's just say personality was never a defining trait of these kinds of characters. However this one adds a really stupid looking out of place design to him making it harder to take the story seriously. With a camp, a small neighborhood, and an underground city, there are more survivors than zombies. This abundance of survivors undermines the sense of danger and isolation that is vital for a compelling survival horror experience. The story is drawn out and lacks direction, making it hard to stay invested and the character interactions are shallow, rewarding the hero with sex for completing the most minor of favors. Overall, "Zombie's Retreat 2: Gridlocked" is a letdown. It fails to build anything interesting on the foundation of the first game and leaves much to be desired. I hope future updates bring more innovation and polish. Edit: (Much much later)... so, future updates DIDN'T bring more innovation and polish. But they DID make the story even dumber. As of my last (and I do mean LAST) play of this game, they added an extra "Superhero scene" that couldn't possibly fit anywhere in the story, and made the main character out to be the biggest idiot that ever lived. Back to the main story, your Aunt feels bad about having sold her panties before the Zombie Apocalypse started, so you have to take her and your mom into the criminal underworld where you insult and antagonist hardened criminals in order to make them give back something they legally bought in the first place. Not one character thinks this is a bad idea despite being about the dumbest thing any of them could possibly do. With those scenes, I had to drop my rating a star and call it quits on this game.
Amazing work, the art is top notch, good animations, fun survival horror gameplay, the story at least for now is okay although for now we don't have that many details yet it can go to a direction I think I will like
I'd give it an excellent remark good quality and a food build so far probably the few best on-going project that gives you a good update and progress, one of the best, unlike other project on the site that takes months and months only to have only one or two scenes or progress. Good work from Siren's Domain hope to see more and hope they'll add more and make it challenging
Siren is genuinely one of the best game devs for adult games. ZR 1 + 2 are both great games. Great art/animation, great storylines, fun open world map to explore, pacing is awesome, diverse cast. Actual, fun game mechanics and they're making like 3 games at a time and more importantly, they have consistent updates and finish the games, which is incredibly rare these days. Highly recommend you support the dev and try out the whole catalog.
very little writing in this game compared to their prequel which is sad since ZR have a lot of potential, most of their update right now seems like a shortsighted attempt to keep the player interested with all the special random event and adding a new character. i dont know how they gonna prolong the story since most of the character has reached almost a dead end unless they trackback. i hope this change soon but i doubted it since this is probabbly the norm right now for all siren game.
Version reviewed: 0.19.2 Beta Zombie's Retreat 2 is a sequel to Zombie's Retreat, which was a fun RPG Maker game with an action element that kind of reminded me of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, where you go around shooting zombies in a top-down perspective. It also added some elements of survival horror like limited ammo/items and simple puzzles to keep things interesting. ZR2 plays much the same way but adds an element where you can add buildings to the safe zone you inhabit. I liked Zombie's Retreat so much I had to play this, even though it's currently incomplete. Contentwise there is not as much in this game as in ZR1 yet, but it does look like eventually there will be a lot more. There are four rooms occupied by girls and room for four more girls to move in. Plus there's space for god knows what kind of buildings to be built in your safe zone. So yeah, there could be a lot of content down the road. Just keep in mind when reading my comparisons to the completed ZR1 that this game is not yet finished. The first game took place at a summer camp, this one takes place in a city. I have to say the summer camp setting felt more classic horror and more creepy, but the city setting is cool. There have been a lot of quests that have taken advantage of it and the dev has barely scratched the surface. There have been missions in a police station, high school, arcade, subway, hospital, and a literal criminal underground. There's not even a mall yet, and you can't get much more classic zombie than that. I am hoping for more in the school myself... One thing I'll say is that I hope future updates can add a few more interesting scenarios for the sex scenes. The first game had some really hot scenes, like the one with your sister, (I mean "tutor") at the glory hole was ACES. And there were some great scenes with your mom ("maid"), like the bath scenes and the scenes where you watch TV with her on the couch. There isn't much that is really memorable like that in this game yet. There is a good scene where you spy on your mom in the shower, but the bath scene that you unlock after is not as good as in ZR1 imo. The best scenes so far have been with your aunt, I liked the one where you're in the apartment building hiding from the zombies. The thing is it seems like the mom and sis storylines are basically done, which concerns me. I would be let down if the game did not add more good stuff to do with them, not gonna lie. Aside from incest characters, there are other girls you can rescue. They are pretty good overall so far, not all of them will be to everyone's taste which is what you expect from a harem game. I like Fiona, the tomboy mechanic/construction worker who helps you improve your safe zone. Stacy is rather cute as well, a waitress who is a friend and classmate of your sister's. You can get milkshakes from her to restore your health and give you other helpful boosts, a new mechanic to this game. Finally there is Lucy, a cop. She is MEGA hot and currently the only character without a sex scene, although there is a groping/massage scene. She seems to be a big driver of the storyline so it might be a while before we reach the end of her quest line. That's okay, I will wait for her. There is also a hot news anchor we have seen. I expect she'll be available down the road... Finally there's the MC. I have to say, compared to the MC of ZR1 this new design is kind of a head scratcher. It just feels out of place how all the girls have normal designs (skimpy but normal) for a contemporary urban setting and then you have this guy who looks like he stepped out of Naruto. It is just hard to put yourself in his shoes. In future updates I would like to see another teen character with a tie to the high school. Maybe a cousin or even another sister to the MC. I would like more scenes with the girls I like (there's a revolutionary opinion). If we got some impregnation stuff that would be a huge improvement over the first game, where only a couple girls had this option. Also, as of now the idea of adding buildings to your safe zone has not been explored much. Hopefully this aspect of the game is fully realized because it's a cool idea. Overall I like this game and I could see it surpassing ZR1 when it is complete.
I finished playing the game as mentioned 3 or 4 days ago I think, well time to give my verdict I give it five stars no matter who it hurts or bothers why? 5 stars and keep saying this game doesn't deserve 5 or 4 or 3 stars there are other games that these guys consider deserve 5 stars and are worse or are in the same circumstances but leaving that aside these are some points that I liked and some that I more or less didn't like were few FIRST - I liked that the game is of the slow burn type and not fast burn so you understand there are games in which not even 4 or 5 minutes have passed and they have already fucked half the city SECOND - I like that they add some missions so the game map is used well it gives a feeling of exploration from corner to corner to many this is perhaps what seems boring and annoying in addition to the fact that the prizes are the scenes are very nice many will be bothered but in my opinion what I liked was that they add bosses in the missions THIRD - I really liked the design of the girls in addition to the fact that the bouncy breasts are of the ones that I like them a lot since I'm tired and bored of small breasts, I prefer the hubres or balloon breasts as some mention are prettier FOURTH - The only thing I didn't like was Nadia's design, it's not very attractive, on the other hand, the girl who appears in the lunar event looks much better and not to mention the two milfs are very pretty and attractive Meredith and Michelle, I would like a scene of the MC with them both together And finally, at first, the stories didn't convince me since I felt that they didn't really seem like a story, but with time I understood them, it's like mini arcs for each girl, the ones I liked the most were Meredith, Jenny, and Michelle, and I feel like they can still be improved, and the only thing I would like to see changed would be the intro, I feel that the presentation of the girls, Jenny, Meredith, and Fiona, was somewhat rushed.
I can say that it is very entertaining, I liked the game. I give it this rating not because the game is perfect but because the developer does his best in the games he finishes, since until now Ninjuno has remained unfinished, if not all have been finished, a creator who does not squeeze his followers.
I really liked the game a lot. I can say that it is very entertaining. There are times when I forget that it is an erotic game, but that does not matter. The game is very good. The girls are very pretty and attractive. Well, not all of them. I give it 5 stars because the game entertained me. P.D. Meredith is and will be my favorite girl, a beautiful Milf
I'm tired of doing quests, which is not a problem for me. Each day I should be able to see the characters' pussies, but I don't understand why we can only see the characters' breasts. I'm so tired that I can't see the pussies. The characters are very strange.So why do we have to be so stingy about this part when it's a porn game but the characters' pussies are almost impossible to see in this game?
I followed the development of Zombie's Retreat 1 from start to finish, and have been following ZR2 as well since it began. ZR2 has not been a good sucessor/sequel. ZR1 felt very unique for me at the time - the exploration and shooting system was serviceable and different. The story wasn't quite there at the start, but the characters were fine (for Hgame standards, of course) and dialogue flowed fairly well with the time-based system to keep you interested in the game (despite porn logic); the story eventually developed and went on to what I find to be a slightly convoluted yet still serviceable and enjoyable overall story in the middle-to-ending part. All this is to say, basically, that the main draw of ZR1 was the simple gameplay loop which felt fresh at the start, and the character interactions/themes powering you through the game. ZR2 has characters that somehow manage to be blander than before, with the dialogue being less catchy. It's boring to walk around camp now and talk to people. With less dimensions and talking between the character, a lot of the enjoyment out of grinding out the H scenes is gone; something that actually felt rewarding in ZR1. Not only that, but five years since the first game, the gameplay loop has been exhausted a bit and it's definitely lost its luster. Compound that with the fact that every single other mechanic that has been put in the game feels more like the developer blueballing you from scenes you want to see (such as building places to unlock new scenes), it makes it feel as if the game is fighting against me instead of making me enjoy it and leading me where I want to go. Overall, with the uniqueness of the setting and gameplay going away as the development time has stretched out more and more, and with the newer mechanics not being too engaging; paired with the fact that the dialogue has dumbed down whilte the characters all feel like reskins of the art we've already seen in ZR1, staying interested in this game is hard indeed. The story will need to pick up pace and start being actually interesting to somehow salvage this. It's a shame to say all of this, because genuinely, ZR1 wasn't bad, despite how mindnumbing it could get at times. However, I'm a firm believer that a "sequel" should be at least as good as the first, if not better; you have the first one to compare to, so you at least know what works. When a sequel is then objectively worse by simply lacking what was in the first game, it leaves a truly bad taste in my mouth. Also, for a more personal complaint, the protagonist just doesn't do it this time around. A guy being airdropped with anime characteristics into the western milf-villa that is Zombie's Retreat does this game no favors. If anything in this game interests you, simply go to ZR1. I promise you it's a similar yet wholly better experience than what ZR2 will provide.
To be honest this sequel is not living up to be the best in my opinion. I just feel like it is just a reskin of the last game. Now I understand making a story and it's a survival kind of game but it's suppose to be a adult game set in a zombie outbreak where they fuck any girl they touch. It's the developer's vision to not include NTR or Game Over Scenes which is fine but I feel like this game suffers heavily from that. I feel like it could of taken the combat system of A Zombie's Life and make it even better. I get the lore is even if they graze them with your pinky they will want to fuck but there could be a way to do combat with it. Make it where it turns into a turn based system. You have your health and your partner has 3 chances, if the zombie successfully grazes her 3 times or you die then you lost and a scene starts with the zombie. Make the partner have a special abilities to help you. Like Olivia could distract the zombie and decrease it's defense, Meredith heals you, Fiona throws tools at the zombie, just stuff like that to make it different and interesting. Have base invasions where you have to fight off zombies from the base, there's no way that they are just casually avoiding the base. Include scenes of the character when they die solo and the camp gets overrun, scenes of your party member getting seduced and eventually overcome, have these painful boss fights have a bad ending, just something to switch it up and not be so drawn out. (Spoiler) When Meredith is in that mind corruption phase after getting slightly touched I thought they were finally going to switch it up and start adding that kind of mechanic into the game. However, it's just a one time thing. There's even times where you play as the girls solo, those would of been the perfect time for corruption scenes. The scenes themselves are great, the women are hot and they look well done. I am just kind of disappointed with this sequel becoming just ZR1 with different girls and drawn out story to just watch maybe one or two scenes per update. I am just no longer interested in following the game anymore, maybe I will look into it again after a few updates but it's unfortunately not interesting anymore.
Zombie's Retreat 2 falls short in improving upon the original game, it lacks character depth and complexity, resulting in one-dimensional and uninteresting characters. The blend of RPGM and grind mechanics with these characters makes the gameplay unsatisfying to play. The relationship between the characters (MC and the girls) lack believability and depth, like IMHO it's better if we have fewer girls but have more meaningful dialogue and build up before the H-scene occurs. While the base management and exploration aspects initially seem fun, they become repetitive over time. The characters, including the protagonist, are forgettable. The art style may not appeal to everyone, but for me, it's an improvement compared to first one, but that Sasuke MC really felt out of the place.
