A New Place, by Kintsugi Digital, is an erotic visual novel made with Ren'Py. It is set in a small rural town and blends romance, dating sim, and harem themes. You play a young man who recently left college and lived in a busy city. After questionable actions, he flees with little money and no clear plan, starting over in the countryside. Conversations and choices can lead to different paths, and the story changes based on your answers and behavior.
The current build is v0.33.0, released November 22, 2024, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android in English, with no censorship. The latest listed update adds a bar scene with Saeki, a new map location for Saeki’s house that cannot yet be entered, and a meeting with Aya that hints someone important has arrived in the city. The gallery was updated, and work began on a Chinese translation.
