Stuck with My Ex’s Family and Zombies!?

Honestly reading these reviews have me questioning whether we played the same game like one of them is praising the minigames (as in plural) there was one and it was just drawing a spiral and it was to successfully hop like a frog down a hallway like why isn't he running like a normal person. Also the only real sexual content is in a christmas dlc which doesn't even make sense since it would chronologically take place later than the main story so you would think there'd be changes in how people interact with you but no. Also I really don't like this idea of dedicating time to making a Christmas DLC for a game that hasn't even gotten to the part where you're "Stuck with My Ex's Family and Zombies" just stick to making content for the actual game.

AI models actually work because they don't end up being uncanny like most of the images tend to look like with a few tweaks here and there. That being said the story damn anime protag all over again who is just a major wreck of a self-sabotaging brat now this is not a diss on anime (though I do think 99% of it is trash with some very good ones out there), but does anyone enjoy it? This doesn't work as wish-fulfillment because well he's too much a pussy, he's worse than a normal dude so that angle isn't present, he's not unique enough to forgive the frankly pussy attitude from him, and the comedic relief doesn't land. However, take the assets and a more interesting protag and the game could be good.

So far, I haven't seen any game made with AI models and environments that is better or more promising than this one. Pros: Varied models; Good minigames; Nice transitions; Looks promising regarding the MC’s growth as the story unfolds. Cons: The MC is a young adult but looks and stands as tall as a middle schooler , while the MILF is 5'10", even though he's supposed to be college-aged; The MC is naive and totally inexperienced. I don't know if he'll actually grow throughout the story or just stay a "shota in an adult's body." 5 stars for the very nice start.

A potentially very promising game, but there are some notable issues that I think will affect the game if they aren't fixed for the next version. Firstly, the AI art is really nice. It looks like the AI art you've see a billion times before, but it's also been modified a bit so it's not quite as samey. If you've seen the same generic AI generated girls before in other games, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Also, the animations are not so great. It's just a looped stretching of the image which causes severe warping and distortions. It doesn't look good at all and really needs to be cleaned up. For the writing, story, and humor, well, it's hard to say because there's not too much going on quite yet. It's mostly setting up what will happen. It's the generic story you've seen before: the aloof beta loser gets a super smoking hot girlfriend, screws up and loses her, and then he ends up inevitably getting back with her. Has the same generic friend whose mischievous and does sketchy stuff but is a total bro. This isn't necessarily a bad thing if done well, and here it's done ok, BUT the humor has a big issue. It's the sterile type of dry humor which is going to be a hit or a miss (I'm not a fan but didn't mind it) but the big problem I had is this extremely strange internal voice talking to you like it's another person. Like wtf does the MC have a personality disorder or something? I feel like it's just not needed at all, it just makes things strange and out of place. As for the other stuff, it's the typical overworld sandbox game where you go to certain locations and do certain stuff. You have a phone to keep up with texts to your friends and other characters and etc etc, you've seen it all before. It's not that much of a hassle to navigate around or talk to people and everything works fine, so even though I'm not a fan of this stuff, it's not too bad. However, the minigames (so far there's only one thank god) look like they are gonna be a real pain in the ass. The current one is dragging your mouse around a symbol on the screen to trace it correctly. Future minigames will probably be something similar. I don't like this and I hope there's an option to skip them entirely. Bad minigames can really negatively affect a game. As for choices, it seems like you can just choose stuff to decide what you want to see or not see and what paths with certain characters you want to follow or not follow and it doesn't punish you for doing so. This is really nice, so you don't have to use a walkthrough to grind points or any dumb stuff like that. This is a positive. Finally the combat, well there's not much to say so far as there only seems to be one fight. It's the typical turn based battle system with characters acting in turns and there's a melee/ranged system and potentially a lot more. The dev said they are planning on adding things like healing, teammates, different weapons and tools and unlocking new skills. The combat felt ok, it wasn't anything great but it definitely wasn't bad. I didn't mind this. Honestly overall, I think it's a pretty decent game so far. It definitely has a lot of potential if it gets polished up a bit and future content chapters are larger, because there's not really much to do so far. I also hope the MC has a personality shift because right now he is this goofy aloof loser, and I'm hoping this isn't a permanent thing. If we can change the MCs attitude a bit and some of the rough edges get polished up I can see this being a decent little zombie humor harem game.

I got to give it, this is the third zombie H-game that's enjoyable, third just behind Zombie Life. Aside from the great images. It looks to be well-structured and a lot of potential for development. Game play isn't tedious and seems to follow a bit of Zombie Retreat. So I'd say give it a chance and be open that it is a developing game.

as of version 1.3 : don't be fooled by the ratings nor the cover art nor the screenshots. there's nothing in the game yet. absolutely nothing. not even a bit of skin. it's just character , relationship building and narration . basically text and dialogues . it does look interesting but it's just your usual renpy sandbox with a city map. though at the moment there's only a dozen of dialogues..... and there's already a dlc ... at the rhythm it is progressing. wait for a year minimum.

really good story, kind of unique and really good quality. awkward MC, lots of LI and has a lot of potential. at the time of this review, its just a demo and im impressed. looking forward to dev cooking the story and stuff.

Review at v. 1.3 A subjective review. This game is... odd The MC is a truely quirky and very insecure teenager with absolutely no real life experience, despite dating the titular Ex, being the hottest girl on campus, and being best pals with Ex's mother. Who I'm sure along the way would have had the conversation with the MC about how relationships evolve and 'the talk' which the MC obviously missed out on, having moved from nowheres-ville across the world to this city. Look, its not the writing - its fun, if you can look past the blatantly idiotic MC. The models are nice and the AI gen is of very high quality, the archetypes are wellpositioned, meaning you don't really have the same type twice, and you even have some polar opposites. Makes for a diverse cast and some ostensibly intelligent romantic conquests... Again, its just, MC's starting point is so hopelessly behind and MC is so insecure, that his internal monologue is about the most confident part about the MC, only really discussing the MC's failures... It gets fairly tiring quick. I'm giving this 3 stars, because I think its going to be very hard to mold the game into something which warrants a totally insecure idiot building a harem, but please devs prove me wrong.

I almost never leave reviews, but jesus christ... V1.3??? With how bare bones it is it should be labeled Version .013... There is less than 20 minutes of actual story content, and a total of 2 scenes; one which involved peeping on an unnamed character, the other is the protag jerking off to either his EX, his EX's Mother, or the previous unnamed character... Also having DLC already at this early of a release is an immediate Red Flag! I can not in good conscience give this glorified demo a higher than one star rating. To the dev, you have a great concept of a VN here. I would love to try it when its closer to completion and has significantly more scenes.I will even remove this review when such content is available in the base game, NOT DLC! Till then get away from these false advertising shenanigans and please put more work into this story.

It's a great game. I hope for an update soon!. Perhaps some parts of the "mini-game" mechanics could be improved, but considering it's version 1.0, it's very good for now. They could add some things at the end to make it flow better, but I liked the detail of the characters, although their gestures feel too direct. If they add more, it might look more fluid.

this game is very good with a gripping story and stylish art, supported by rich scenes and many dynamic images not just a single static frame that is something very important!

v1.3 This really should be a demo then anything out of demo mode. It does have promise,and is pretty funny. The game really doesn't take itself serious. I read that someone said it has dlc already? that can't be good. But i'm willing to hold out hope and give the benefit of a doubt. I played without sound so i missed the loud news report. The renders look pretty good. Don't really like the woke part where it's asking for pronouns....really?
