The story will put you in the shoes of a seasoned combat veteran who was recently released from service. You will go on a journey with him while he attempts to re-assimilate, and try to find some way in the world he left behind so long ago, with the help of a particularly vibrant cast to boot. Part fiction, and part non-fiction, this novel will offer you a glimpse into the real life struggles of combat veterans from a first hand perspective, and draws story elements from the greats like Tom Clancy, Jack Carr, and John Grisham. Just like in life, every choice made will matter here. Action, drama, heartbreak, and romance await you. So strap in, and stay frosty.

I almost didn't give this VN it's fair shot. EXTREMELY early I could tell I just wasn't going to like the characters and there didn't seem to be an actual purpose to the story so I quit playing after barely giving it a try. Then I figured I would give it one more attempt last night and didn't get much further before deciding it just wasn't for me and was about to delete it but figured it's only a prologue how much longer can it be! I'm so glad I finished it today. The MC really is what changed my mind from the start to the finish. He seems like such a stereotypical cardboard cutout army douchebag at first and the relationships are weird how he just randomly moves in with a stranger, by the end though he seems a lot more human and with some serious problems to over come. It got me hooked. I want to know what is next for him, is he going to recover or spiral, will we get to make choices to see both outcomes? The only weak point is the girls while attractive are pretty forgettable. Some of the bonding moments with the girls are very strange too, like the jazz singer who buys 12000 dollar books. I don't think it's worth knocking off any points because of the girls when it looks like there could be some big changes after the prologue. This seems like one of those rare VN's where the MC is the real star of the story and not the girls. The visuals are very impressive, especially with the details of how people change over the passage of time. I think the prologue went a bit above and beyond for this and can't imagine the characters visuals will keep evolving like that, but what's been done already is above expectations. If you want to read a story about a man trying to survive while struggling with his demons instead of another shallow harem simulator this might be one of the best ones to give a chance.
Great to see a game focusing on veterans and stuff that a lot of other games try to avoid. Although there is almost nothing to the game, no scenes. Plot progression isn't great and instead of building up the connection to the characters through dialogue and character development, there's just a bunch of time skips implying that the relationships grew and time passed. Honestly right now there is nothing here, its not worth playing in its current state with the limited content and I couldn't really get attached to the characters or the story. However there is good potential here, with the limited story and character designs.
Damn, not gonna lie this had me hooked from the beginning to end, in fact I'm sad that I can't play more since it's only the prologue. One of the most promising releases this year, hope to see the dev succeed and finish his vision. 10/10 would recommend.
Well I have to say that I didn't expect much from the game, however, I was completely wrong. I'll say it as a personal review, everyone will have their own opinion and tastes, but I really liked the story. The characters are really well done and the atmosphere in general very good too, I hope to know more of your project very soon because in my point of view it is magnificent how well achieved the story is and the end of the prologue leaves a lot of desire to play it again and see how the story continues. Good luck and thanks for bringing it
The prologue of "A Thousand Rounds" is a solid introduction to an promising visual novel. The writing is engaging, though at times it feels like the pacing could benefit from a bit more refinement. I'm interested in seeing how our main character grows and how the narrative develops.
Well well well.. What a little gem.. Even though it's just the prologue, with no sexual content yet (which is perfectly fine since we're just getting started), it’s clear that this story is crafted with a strong focus on narrative and emotions, which I’m absolutely loving so far. The story tackles serious topics with depth, and the characters feel authentic, responding to the world around them in a very believable way. At this stage, it’s more of a kinetic novel with not many choices to make, but I assume the big options will come later. I’m really excited to see where we can take the main character—whether we get to shape his journey or not. Overall, it's a fantastic beginning. Kudos to the developer(s) for a job well done!
Played it as a whole. This AVN is lacking in the "A" part at the moment in terms of lewd content, but being a prologue and a story not focused of an mc running around with his dick wagging into every gaping hole, it makes sense its that way. The renders are gorgeous, the girls are gorgeous, and the writing is on point. As others have said, the time skipping in the first part was a little much, but it seems like that was curbed in this last part. The ending... holy fuck man. Gut punch. Makes me really excited to see what this dev has in store for us in the future.
I haven't played much yet, but I enjoyed the game so far! Personally, I think that the writing is really well done, song selection is good, and the renders are pretty amazing. I also like the overall premise of the game and there isn't really anything bad to say about the game from what I have seen. Big ups to the dev .
A Thousand Rounds does not have a ton of content yet, but what it does have is very promising. The quick TLDR is mega hot babes with a more nuanced story than you'll find in most media, let a lone a porn game. While it's still too early to really tell, it does not seem like this will be a truly happy story, where the MC has a magic dick that bends space and time to fulfill a childish power fantasy. Instead it's about struggling with very real demons and how all those powerful scenes in movies and books don't just magically fix things. I alluded to it in the TLDR, but this is the first time I remember thinking every one you encounter is super hot out of the gate. No one feels like they're there as a token whatever that is there to check some imaginary list that the artist isn't really into but feels like they need to include. I can't wait to meet more of the cast and see where the story goes, even if it'll probably it me in the feels more than I'd like.
A Thousand Rounds [ch. 1.0] Nice plot, a war veteran returning and deals with his past. Gonna be a quite emotional ride. This is more like an introduction. Loved the twins both got unique personalities. Good renders and pretty girls. But in close up shots backgrounds are blurry. When I saw the girl with tattoo I remembered other famous game with plenty of tattooed girls and MC. Shortly after I saw the reference of that game in this one. Seems like that dev helped this dev. He also got help from Devs of other famous VNs here. If you are looking for lewd there's none for now, there is nudity but no H scenes. This one's story centric and MC is not your usual horny guy. Keep up the good work dev looking forward to next updates.
Interesting play, with good rendering, heavy atmosphere, tense history, MC with their trauma of your time of Marine, the fun and beautiful girls, great game. Let's see what happens to MC from now on if he will fight his past or just give in, and what will happen to his relationship with the mines, the future to tell us . Congratulations to the developer for your game
I came for the hot chick with the gun but I stayed for the twins. So far I am enjoying the story, the renders are beautiful and it seems this will touch on some heavy themes so I'm here for it. Spoiler: Spoiler It seems the VN will place you in a relationship with the twins so I'm not too sure how it will treat relationships with other girls but since the twins are best girls I'm not complaining.
Loving the premise, the storyline, the artwork, and really looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's starting off with a lot of promise, the MC does have a really fucked up look, very much like someone who has spent too much time telling almost certain death to go get fucked, so I hope he "cleans" up a bit.
Off to a great start, looks very promising. The renders are beautiful, I like the characters so far and the dialogue is well written. Seems like more of a slow burn, so keep that in mind before playing this. Overall, I definitely recommend this and look forward to the future updates, good luck to the dev.
Just finished a first run through and can safely say I believe this has great potential - the artwork is top notch, story seems well thought out and that it has a good grounding with significant knowledge behind it. Looking forward to see where it goes, good luck dev!
Initially got baited into thinking 7gb would have been a longer playtime even granted that it was 4k but i was wrong. However the renders are good and the writing is good as well, in the top 1% on the site (although this bar is kinda low). Im a fan of the work of some of the devs who helped you to develop this game so shoutout to them as well. My only real gripe is that I'm here way too early
Let me start by saying that the writing, especially for a first release, is... exceptionally excellent! It's not the best dialogue I ever read but it's realistic. It's not the greatest descriptive writing either but, that job should be accomplished by the art in a VN and it most certainly is the case here. The still renders, transitions and short animations all enhance the story telling. What puts this story over the top is the character development. So far the characters are genuine and charismatic. Too many adult VN's try to put the story first but, in reality, are lead by the porn; that's definitely not the case here. I've read some comments where folks didn't like the time skips. I think they are extremely appropriate. We've gotten used to stories where a decade's worth of events happen over the course of a few days. Life just isn't like that. This first chapter is essentially a prologue in which we get to know a traumatized war fighter as he returns home and the people who are becoming a part of his life. I feel confident that, if the story gets faithfully told, we will see more passage of time and only experience the highlights. Why? Because much of life is mundane and dealing with combat related PTSD doesn't happen in days or weeks but, rather, months or years. I know. I'm a former Marine and a veteran of war. The models are absolutely gorgeous and unique. I'm quite certain there will be some amazing sexy times with many very loveable women. If you're looking for a one woman path... I'm happy to say I think you will have a hard time choosing and, if you lust for more, you'll be like a kid in a candy store. To NME Artworks . Good luck and God Speed. Semper Fi
