About Back to Home
Back to Home is a Ren'Py visual novel by VisualNovels, presented with animated 3DCG scenes. You play a male protagonist in a story where Beth, a famous pianist, and her young tenant try to resume ordinary life half a year after an island rescue. Their home becomes unsettling: shadows move without cause, mirrors show unfamiliar people, and nightmares bleed into daytime. The story grows from a concert trip to Japan into survival, romance, horror, and a darker presence that followed them from the island.
The current build is v0.1, released on October 11, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. This update adds eleven animations, 122 dialogue lines, atmospheric audio, adult vocal effects, customizable names and relationship labels, detailed settings, and AI-assisted edits.

Six months after being rescued from a mysterious island, Beth, a renowned pianist and her young tenant try to return to normal life. But their home no longer feels like home. Shadows move without cause, mirrors reflect strangers, and nightmares blur into waking hours. What began as a concert trip to Japan became a descent into violence, survival, and now, something far darker. The island didn’t let them go. Something followed. Something that wants their place.
