Behind the Curtain is an adult visual novel by Rauko, built in Ren'Py with animated 3DCG art. It follows two married couples at a financial company when a wealthy new client arrives and their lives take a dangerous turn. You play Jack Bradley, Bex Bradley, Ralph Moore, and Mags Moore, each dealing with work pressure, marital strain, desire, and risky choices. The story blends romance, cheating, and multiple protagonists.
Development is ongoing. Chapter 3 version 1.3.1 was released on August 6, 2026 for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, without censorship. The update added an Auto-Forward button, restored Skip, and introduced a pause indicator for soft pauses across Chapters 1 to 3, tied to Auto-Forward. It also added interface button positioning, revised dialogue in Chapters 1 and 2, larger manual and Ironman save slots with naming and deletion, an opacity slider for the dialogue box, text outline and avatar options, relationship history, and a Relationships screen indicator. Soft Core and Censored options were removed.

KNOWN ISSUES
When clicking to edit a description - it won't load in the current description as a default. I've tried every which way I can but with no success as yet. So each description has to be entered as new.
Apparently - the skip function doesn't work on old saves. I don't have an old save lying around so I can't directly check this. My guess is old preferences are stored within the save game file and are overwriting current preferences within that save.
