About Chains of the Forest
Chains of the Forest is a Ren'Py visual novel by MRGN Studios, using 2D CG art and a fantasy romance with female domination. You play a human man who chased a white stag into a forest where no human comes back. He wakes chained in an elven auction hall and is bought by Lyrenne Veyrwald, head of an ancient noble house. She has slaves older than his country, a dead brother whose face he shares, and plans to mark, train, and watch him while deciding if he becomes her favorite, tool, or ruin. Thirty-two characters pursue their own agendas in this long con.
The current build is v0.3.0, an initial public release dated May 19, 2026, with ongoing development. It runs on Windows and Linux, is uncensored, and is in English, translated from Spanish source. The update adds full Act 1 across chapters I through XV, thirteen playable endings, a free-roam hub with seven zones, a replay gallery of more than 200 indexed scenes, a complete English translation of about 8,300 strings, twenty-six intimate scenes rewritten with stronger narrative buildup, and a revised sprite pipeline for consistent visuals across thirty-two characters.

You hunted a white stag into a forest no human returns from. Three days later, you woke chained in an elven auction hall — and Lyrenne Veyrwald bought you. She runs one of the most ancient noble houses in the elven kingdom. She has slaves older than your country. She has a brother three centuries dead whose face you happen to share. And she is going to mark you, train you, watch you — and at some point, decide whether you become her favorite, her tool, or her ruin. This isn’t a power fantasy. It’s a long con with thirty-two characters running their own agendas at once. You either learn to play them, or you become the piece they move.
