This isn't a goon game. It's a story of accepting people for who they are and being unafraid of your being who you are. This is a huge game. 3 girls having completely distinct storylines. Who you choose decides who starts to transform. The transformation for the Cow girl being slow and deliberate, a slow burn towards the strangeness before coming to terms with her true body. This game is the opposite of lewd. The time period set where hand holding in public is seen as indecent. The protagonist returning from war and suffering from trauma, and if you choose so, confiding in those he loves. Another topic of fragility that soldiers had when returning home, and adding more depth to the first theme "accepting change" Spoiler: Marion AKA Cow girl Motherly, tender and overall exuding feminine charm. A simple and "vanilla" story line. You both support each other while you both comes to terms with her true self. I won't say much for the art style but as someone not particularly a furry, her snout changes her from acceptable levels to not appealing at all for me. As for the H scenes, well, with public kissing being considered lewd, the H scenes are pretty vanilla. If you minus the animal parts.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. A word of caution, this VN is heavily, heavily focused on furry and scalie transformations with very detailed sequences of turning into ones. If this is not your cup of tea - I'd still urge you to give it a spin for the characters and story. Art in its purest form, the work of absolute love and passion of very devoted people. Very, very rarely can the visual novel transcend the confines of its form and nature, and this one does, leaving a profound mark on me. The atmosphere of a small Scottish town touched by the first World War, standing on the precipices of a mortal and fae world, is enchanting. The artstyle is beautiful and warm, like looking at old paintings, combined with good music accompanying it, sets a stage for a gripping story about trauma, self-discovery, healing and change. The storytelling is incredibly intimate, almost like a soft telling of a fairytale. The characters are written masterfully, they feel like people, not talking heads in a game. They all have their own flaws, dreams, unique quirks, and the authors are not afraid to flaunt them to their fullest. They have completely understandable fears, struggles and insecurities, but also power and tenderness. Grace's story is probably my favorite, which was a complete surprise for me, as I did not like her at first glance, not my type of character. Boy did it took me for Mr. Bones wild ride and never let go until the credits. The themes resonated with me incredibly strongly, even if the ending is a bit too perfect and sweet. Jessie is my second pick, her story was much more grounded and less thrilling, but Jessie herself is an amazing character I grew to love. Also helps that she is associated with my favorite creature in all of fiction, and Scottish take on them is delightful. I only wish they went all in on it like with Grace, as I was desperate for more. Contrary to popular opinions, I didn't vibe with Marion that much. I liked her at the beginning, but neither her character nor a creature she is interested me at all. Hell, her story with Douglas the fisherman in Grace's route felt better than her own one. Side characters are almost all a delight. The proper Scottsman barkeep and Douglas the fisherman are ride-or-die homies, the Gran is sweet as a biscuit, but there is one character I absolutely loathed, read at your own discretion further. The character I'm speaking of is Alana, the cryptic teacher, a witch and, I assume, the narrator of the story. She is absolutely infuriating with her attitude and unsolicited advices, holier-than-thou demeanor and total uselessness of her warnings. Like, girl, speak plainly for fae's sake, your mad ramblings and butthurt rants are not helpful in the slightest, just breaking the pacing and vibes of the story, and I can feel my eyes rolling up each time she appears on the screen. All in all, this is a must-read Visual novel. The authors promised even more routes than the three sisters, and I can't wait to be lost in this world again.

well written but some part of the story just feels unnecessary the art is good not really much to complain about the faces they make sometimes are goofy tho the backgrounds are also nice musics ok i guess it can get overbearing if looped the only problem i have with this game is when erm when the cow girl started to grow an udder that made me very uncomfortable also her routes boring when compared to the other 2 the wolf one was good i was actually able to finish the game and not feel uncomfortable The fish is also good but i still perfer the wolf so overall 1.Wolf 2.Fish 3.Cow

Well written, heartwarming tale. Genuinely a quality visual novel, with believable dialogue and characters. The art style is also pleasant. Mind you, I'm neither a furry, nor particularly into furry content. The closest I get is neko/catgirls. Not necessarily strictly feline, but I draw the line at ears and a tail in terms of physical traits. Indeed, I was pretty turned off by certain aspects of the game. The earliest being the udder... It was enough for the sake of the story that Marion be more cow than human, but the udder seemed like it was added to appease someone's fetish, rather than contributing to the theme of acceptance, which was already well-established. It probably wouldn't have been so bad if the MC hadn't made a comment about how it turned them on more. That pretty much confirms that it's about the fetish and not accepting your partner in spite of who or what they are. Nevertheless, the writing is exceptional enough to overcome this, and the art outside of the adult scenes is easy on the eyes. The music is also very nice. There are times where I find myself just listening to it. Something I do for very few games. Minecraft and FFX are the two main culprits that come to mind. Actually, there was one song that I remember thinking reminded me of playing FFX. I'll have to go back in game and figure out which one it was. I'd certainly be open to playing another game from this team, or whatever DLC/extra content they intend to release for it, and I'd suggest anyone who's not completely disgusted by furry content to give this a go, even if it's not necessarily their cup of tea. I may even buy the game, just to show support to the devs, which is a thought I've had for only a couple other AVN's, and only followed through on for one other.

Absolute gem! A deep and lasting experience I would have never expected from a visual novel. Didn't know what I was getting into, though I did spot lovely art of the Marion (by various artists) many years back, so I had the project on my radar, but was skeptical I'd be interested in a VN. I really enjoyed the art though, Marion had that vibe of purity and sincerity, this one especially . In short, I came for breasts_and_teats, left with heart aching from the intensity of Marion's story! She helped me find my heart IRL. I was initially taken aback by the serious tone of the story, then intrigued by the transition accompanied by music and an "observational quote" from unknown character - immideately captivated, I dropped "horny game" expectation and approached it with an open mind. The Branching Chapter 1 takes hours to fully explore (although focusing on one path makes it quick). It takes several more hours per each of the three girls, with their stories having varying degrees of branching - alternative endings with various degrees of happiness, or (relatively) abrupt bad ends that hit you like a train. Bite sized text, a small paragraph at a time, make it very easy to sink a lot of time into a single session, and characters will often show many different expressions that will match what is being said or done. There is excellent variety between their form, clothes and accessories. More exciting moments in the story have special scenes with full size drawings, be it a transformation sequence or a lewd scene, or something else that benefits from visual presentation. These are done especially tastefully, although the announced art update promises to improve them! And it is all accompanied by music that fits mood of every scene. Absolutely lovely soundtrack. The other gals are quite nice too. Grace's lengthy story somehow kept outdoing itself, and Jessie's has perhaps most interesting world building. I bought three copies on Steam for myself and friends <3 I only regret I didn't join Patreon way back to play Marion's story as soon it was finished, some 2-3 years before the full game released. P.S: Love to see Watsup (one of the creators) engaging in the discussion on this site. P.P.S: Second most painful thing (the first being a bad end in Marion's chapter 2) is the time skip leading to the final picnic scene. I guess saying "there is not enough" is the highest praise there can be.

one of the best visual novels i've ever played, and certainly the greatest piece of furry media that's ever come my way. Changeling Tale sets the stage like so: after a grueling tour in the first world war, our protag, Malcolm, returns to his idyllic hometown of Ach-na-Creige and the sensation of it all. he revels in the tastes and smells he hasn't known since shipping out to the front lines while the reader bathes in a soundscape so above and beyond the usual visual novel fare that it's currently in orbit. there's something about audio that can truly elevate a game. sure, Changeling Tale isn't Halo 3 or Homeworld, but both the soundtrack and the backgrounding are just stellar. gorgeous, almost hymnal piano drapes the entire game, punctuated by Scottish bagpipes and a scattering of brass. it's packed with dozens of songs -- i can think of more than a few triple-A releases without that sheer repertoire. on top of that, the phenomenally mastered backgrounding: barflies chatter, hooves clop, waves crash. no detail is overlooked. all of it assembled, somehow, from royalty-free audio. this dedication to atmosphere's purpose is, of course, to support the writing. that's not to say the writing is bad; on the contrary, it's absolutely yoked. it carries the game like a powerlifter carries groceries. its characters burst at the seams with color and charm, and their relationships with each other are vivid in a way i haven't seen outside of, y'know, books. on that topic, the relationships themselves are remarkable. calling this game a dating simulator seems almost crass: Malcolm and the girls tease, they fight, they face real concerns and problems with each other that must be overcome. it's soulful in a way that ninety-nine percent of porn games aren't. Changeling Tale is about love before it's about sex, but in my opinion, the love makes the sex all the better. and Changeling Tale is thoughtful about its love. Malcolm and the girls are young and lonely in their own ways, and so much of the writing is dedicated to untangling not only the fantastical knots but the very real ones: abandonment, self-loathing, duty. Malcolm spends more time worrying about the nature of his relationships and their future than he does worrying about the fact that his girlfriend has turned into a fish/wolf/cow. the transformation, too, has had its due diligence: Changeling Tale lingers for a long, long time on what it means to be human through exploring this kink. the girls' changes are all at once terrifying and liberating. how do you interact with society when you sprout fluffy ears and fur? is it better to run naked through the woods as your true self? can you still find love? are you even a person anymore? what an intensely strong core theme. it's like a BDSM story that's secretly about trust: it makes perfect sense, but you'd never expect it from a visual novel posted to F95. i could go on and on about Changeling Tale's writing. to be totally honest, i broke one of my personal rules to write this: i haven't actually finished each girl's storyline yet, purely because i just had to tell you how goddamn good this story is. please play it. i can't do it any more justice in this already over-long review.

Holy shit this is so good. I could not stop smiling and cheering for mc while playing it. 11/10 this is so good. The soundtrack, writing, characters, plotline, music, everything. This is a work of art. A goddamn masterpiece with a soul. I can't say enough good things about this. GOAT VN subbed to patreon / 10

Changeling Tale really has it all. A heart-warming story with a fair share of drama, interesting characters, exceptionally good dialogue and writing in general, outstanding renders and self-produced music and sound effects. This VN is certainly not for those who play AVNs because of the pornography, but mainly interesting for all those for whom a good narrative is in the foreground and who simply want a grown-up approach to sexuality on top of it. Because sex is not in the priority in Changeling Tale, but emotions, self-discovery and dealing with trauma, loss and love. This is all set against the backdrop of the Highlands and its culture around the time of the First World War. None of it feels contrived, it's just really good VN craft. Unlike many other AVNs, each path feels different. It's not that they differ only in the sex scenes, but the dialogue is quite different and the conflicts differ too. This means that you can actually play through Changeling Tale several times. Two paths are finished, a third one is almost complete and a total of up to 11 paths are planned. Changeling Tale is definitely a soft AVN, but it is an AVN because the themes are for adults and because it is NSFW, but not really pornographic in the way it is presented. Highly recommended.

Simply amazing! First of all it's a rare furry game that caters to us straight furrys (YES WE DO EXIST!). Second, it's even more rare to find a Furry game as well made as this. The art is amazing especially with the better pic pack. The story has the major feels with genuine moments that made me go awwwww . All-in-all I loved it and you should give it a try for sure!

One of the best adult games I've come across in a long time. The story is the focus of this novel, it makes you care for the characters. The actual romanceable characters are 3: Marion ( my favorite ), Grace, and Jessie. To avoid writing an entire book about them I'll say only that playing their routes I had all kinds of emotions, from sadness to happiness and from anxiety ( good kind of it ) to relief. The plot revolves around a Scottish male protagonist, a former soldier who just returned home after receiving a letter about his grandfather's death to help his grandmother and trying to forget the horrors of the war. The writing in this visual novel is top-notch, very detailed, and creative, with a lot of character development and meaningful prose, and if this isn't enough add the calm music during the game and you forget all the things around you! I was really impressed with the quality of the backgrounds, they look alive and it is as if we ourselves were the protagonists instead of Malcolm. This game is a real gem and should be played more than once, looking forward to more routes. Best of luck to the team and thanks for this fantastic game, looking forward to the steam release.

Absolutely amazing! All stories are different and really emotionally engaging. The world is believable and easy to dive in. It's like reading a really good book with some spicy scenes Development takes some time, but it's 100% worth waiting for.

This story, the art is truly unique. Everything about this work the art, music and writing are master level artistry. The characters and their stories are masterfully presented as is the technical skill of the cinematography and animations. At one point in my life I ran away from home to seek adventure and fortune. Let's just say I failed miserably and had to take quite a few slices of humble pie. Being hungry and homeless and loosing everything can do that to you. The scenes returning home, I can totally identify.. it was an appreciation for what was the mondain before was truly magical and wonderful now. This all came flooding back to me in just the first few scenes of this story. I'll just say you made it feel authentic and brought a tear to my eye. Keep being you. Breath taking

I wait for the completed version with impatience.

Great story, great art, one of those games you'll probably remember playing for a long time and a pearl in this niche genre. Very well written from start to finish and the flow is just done right. Would recommend it to anyone interested in transformation, it's a must-see
BadMotivator 2020-04-19
Love the art. It's just a great change from all of the Honey Select cookie cutters. The writing doesn't let the art down, either. Game choices are far more logical than in a lot of games and MC isn't some wannabe mega-Alpha or hung like a Clydesdale. Hoping to see more Effie content in the future.
Condemned77 2020-04-06
While the game is very well made with some nice art it fails to deliver on any of the main parts of the game. There is suprisingly little transformation which even then all happens near the end of which ever story line you choose. "some explicit nudity and sexual content" some being the right word, again very little and right near the end and none of which focuses on the transformation(just regular sex but with a furry). Choices are essentially which girl do you want and do you want the good end or a quick fail end, choices dont change the transformations and all the ends are either accept the person as they are now or fail.

This game is amazing, the direction of the game is much more different what you can find in the site. Don't get me wrong, it's not that im saying that the other games are bad, its just feels kinda weird that this game seems to be at porn game site. It really is different from the games I usually play in this site that it truly surprised, I really recommend to those really earning for a great VN.

First:The Story. this is perhaps the most well written captivating story of any "adult game" i've ever "read" it is flowing, indepth, full of warmth and character..it is everything you'd want in a relaxing novel. The Art:that is beautiful..the backgrounds are stunning..moving and vibrant..stuff happens..they are not just static backdrops..the characters..while cartoon-ish are fleshed out and full with nice colouring and texture. this is not a game you go looking for a fap..this is a game you go looking for an experience..yes there is sex..but it is romantic..proper..timely..where it needs to be in a caring story..you forget very fast that it has furries once you get involved and immersed into the narrative...whle i wouldnt class it as my favorite game ever..it is up there already with the best/favorites...this game will change how you look at the "tags" applied to it..ALL the stars.
