In Chasing Memories you play as the protagonist who has lost his memory and embarks on a journey to restore it... or he just freeloads and flirts with women and monster girls alike — either works, really. The combat is turn-based, and heavily inspired by Pokémon-style systems. Each enemy having their own animated moves, with different power, accuracy and status effect chance. Chasing Memories also features a dungeon crawling system — you can explore freely and fight some random encounters, or maybe meet someone special . Who knows? (I know ) Oh, and by the way — if you don't like RPG elements in Ren'Py games, that's fine too. There's a cheat menu you can use to breeze through combat to get to the good stuff

v0.35 - 2 new characters (head east in the Deep Forest) - 3 new animated H-scenes - New enemy - Entirely reworked UI + reworked parts of battle ui - New music - Extra animations menu (Patreon only, need code - click the heart icon in the gallery if you're interested) - Almost all sex animations were reworked and their sound effects are now in sync - they look much better now - New mob village - just head north in the Deep Forest. Very work in progress, though. - Enemies have abilities now! For example, the blue slime has a passive chance to slime you after you hit it with a physical attack - it's something to make combat more interesting - A bunch of bugfixes and balancing - armour is now less op, nerfed some status effects (charmed + slimed), fire now deals even more damage to plant-based creatures - A safeguard for the Alraune fight has been set - if you're stuck, you can abandon the quest and try again later. Sorry for softlocking you guys! - 2 new items (can be bought in the new mob village), one new attack (available when you have the new weapon equipped) - The bestiary now shows the creature's stats as well as it moves and ability (if they have one) - just hover over the text and wait for the tooltip to pop up - You can sort your moves now - move up/down the moves you use most often or even unassign the moves you don't use at all (just a tiny qol thing) v0.3 - 2 new characters (technically 3 but oh well) - 4 new animated H-scenes - New quest - New dungeon - New enemies - New music - Reworked battle engine (please tell me if it's too hard/easy or otherwise unbalanced in any way - balancing shit is hard. Just use the cheat menu if you're stuck.) - New dialogue trees for Hazel, Lumi, the Alraune and Luna - Sylvia lore dump (talk to her about wanting some "common knowledge" books and return to her at night to trigger it) - A lot of optimisation - the game now weighs less than the previous version despite new shit having been added! Hooray! (it should also run better on older systems) - An android version! v0.2 - 4 new characters - 4 new animated H-scenes - A cheat menu! People who don't care about rpg-elements can now breeze through the encounters. It's in the options menu. - A bestiary, gallery and a journal - New outfit for the Myconid and Hazel, new hairstyle for Hazel - Quest system, day/night cycle system, shop system - 5 new attacks, 2 new enemies, - Blueheart Dungeon now complete - you can fight the crysalisk again - A couple new items (weapons, consumables, armours, etc) - Pokemon-esque weakness system implemented - New quests - Bugfixes - A shameless Patreon promotion v0.1 Initial Release

I have very high hopes for this game, it reminds me of monster girl dreams but better due to animations. Dialogue is very good, characters are very likeable. Only bug I ran into was after defeating the little pink hypnotist flower. After I beat it I got an error code, and the game treated it as if I lost the battle. (Android version btw) Few other relatively minor issues I have with the game: maybe slightly lower the encounter rate, also although I know you can upgrade agility, I do think some of the CC status effects from the enemies can be a bit annoying. (Primarily the red flower) Being put to sleep for multiple turns, while the enemy can flinch you as well (causing you to lose even more turns) just makes things frustrating. Those paired with the ability of your character being able to miss just adds salt to the wound. However like I said, I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on future updates. Game definitely has a strong start and has quite a bit of potential.

Very good game ! I played the v0.3, don't be fooled by the 0.3, the game as more content than I thought. Town characters are cute, you want to know more about them and take you time to romance them. Contrary to the Monster girls who are cute or sexy and you get right into action ! The animation are AI, but it's clean. The animation are consistent, no visible default and surprisingly long. Cumshots are not animated yet though. The monster girls are diverse and unique, it feels refreshing. The UI might need a little bit more of dynamic response, but for a v0.3 it's totally correct. Great game, great lewd scenes. Keep going and all the luck to your game dev journey. Hope you the best !

0.1 Review, may change as the game progresses. I'm usually wary of Ren'ply games with combat, but I have a good feeling about this one. Doesn't seem to have too much overscope. Art: AI Art, but with extensive I2I/Sketching done. Overall I would take it is very well done. The animations are also pretty good and avoid the common 'Incredible Gassy' (IYKYK) effect that some AI CG animations suffer from. The UI 'Map' is a bit tough-looking, but it fits the idea of a hand-drawn map made by one of the characters. Gameplay: Inspired by (early) Pokémon, which is a good idea for an engine as simple as Ren'ply. Right now it is probably the weakest aspect of the game, due to it being pretty barebones and lacking proper balance. Takes too many hits to deal with basic slimes and the post-combat enemy disposal scene takes way too long and should definitely be skippable. The secondary element is moving a stick figure representing the MC around a dungeon environment (whether you will have other areas besides dungeons to move around in is yet to be seen.) This part is good, but IMO enemy encounters are somewhat too frequent. Either a reduction in this rate, or an item to reduce it are sorely needed in the future. This game also features RPG Stats, which tie into the dialogue, allowing the player to pass/fail certain checks. None of these are in the game as of now. Hopefully Temp Stat Boosting items will be included to avoid cases of missing a scene due to a wonky build. I am a little annoyed you cannot save in Dungeons, as there are choices during encounters with NPCs in dungeons that I usually like to make saves to see the outcome of both. I get that it's too make combat risky, but I could see this being very annoying having to save BEFORE a dungeon floor just to see 2 scenes. (At the very least, these choices should auto-unlock in a gallery, so you don't need to re-do everything.) Writing. Characters: Honestly really good. All of them have charm. Story: Pretty stock, but perhaps a good choice, given the tendency to over-complicate the Monster Girl plot. MC lost his memory and wakes up in a forest with no idea who he is. My only worry is there won't be a lot of options to pick what you want to say, as the intro made the MC pretty set in stone. Part of the fun in amnesia-suffering MCs is picking their 'new' personality and seeing how it differs from their old one. Overview: I rate this a solid 4, based on potential, but held back by barebones combat. Will likely raise to a 5 if that is improved in future additions.

Very solid v0.1. Not much content, unless I missed something somewhere. But that should be expected for a first version release. Art is *very* good, both the animations and the stills. Characters are endearing (and sexy). Not sure if all the art/animation is AI or just some. If all, well damn... Could have fooled me. The animations were really clean. UI is clean, I like the icons for everything. I *really* like the animations that trigger the random battles, caught me by surprise. Also the enemy attack animations. Nice touches for a game this new. Writing feels a bit rushed. Example: how quickly the protag learns fire magic. Still, there's some good polish here. I can see the creator going back improving things as they go. Wishlist: A gallery. There's currently not a way, at least as far as I saw, for you to rewatch the scene with the mushroom girl. You can relive the slimegirl encounter. I'm going to check out the creator's patreon. Unfortunately my favorite game's dev has gone MIA (hope he's alright), but I'll have some extra cash to support other creators. I'll certainly consider this project.
