About The Vault of Duvarnach
The Vault of Duvarnach is a browser-based adult adventure from dcosmic, built in HTML. It places you among scavengers in a ruined world after a collapse, inside a long-buried vault with non-human inhabitants and a companion named Kira. You travel between a vault and wasteland routes, manage supplies, and fight turn-based card battles where damage can affect clothing and choices. Its themes include a dystopian setting, fantasy, and corruption.
The current release is v0.1.0-alpha, dated October 5, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac through modern browsers, is in English, and is uncensored. The changelog adds a raider hold called The Hollow, longer Lysara cell events, hazards for solo travel, fishing at Fisher's Rest, and the default Tabs combat menu, with a Classic option in settings.
Developer's description
A world ended. Yours is just beginning. The caravan is gone. The wasteland nearly killed you. Now you're in a vault older than the Cataclysm itself, and the things living here aren't all human. Spoiler The Reclaimed stretches in every direction. Ruin. Decay. The bones of a civilization that thought it would last forever. You are one of the desperate, scavenging few who cling to life in the aftermath. But something is different about you. Something the others can't see. Something that's been watching. Waiting. Kira - You found her bleeding outside the vault. Torn clothes, busted ribs, raiders on her trail. She woke up swinging. Before the Convergence she had a family. A home. All gone now. Every day since has been a fight. The vault might actually let her breathe - if she can figure out how to stop holding her breath. The Groundskeeper - The vault's pre-Convergence intelligence. It runs the power, the locks, the water recyclers. It also watches everything you do. And has opinions it won't share until it's too late. The Raiders - The Reclaimed changes people. Makes them into something else. Some of them are just desperate survivors. Some of them enjoy what they've become. They travel the wasteland between the vault and everywhere else. Every supply run is a gamble. You and Kira fight your way through what's left of the wasteland. A world map of ruined towns, forests, lakes and convoy graves, each route swept by weather that decides what kind of trouble finds you. Raiders, scavengers, things that used to be human, and worse. Every fight is yours to finish. Strike, knock her down, tear her clothes off, tease her, break her, then use her. Or let her go. Between fights you keep the vault running: food, water, gear, a bed to sleep in, and a companion who remembers how you treated her. The vault is older than the bones in its walls, and something about it is starting to recognize you. Survive. Loot. Lose yourself to the corruption, or hold onto whatever made you human in the first place. Either way, the vault keeps score. What's in the game: Spoiler The story - A two-day prelude on the road, then your first week in the vault. After the story days you keep living there: travel, fight, fish, sleep. Combat - Turn-based card fights with energy, positions and clothing damage. Rip her top, tear her bottoms, and every torn piece stays torn. - The Tabs combat menu: Fight, Take Down, Strip & Tease, Break Her, Use Her. Eighty-plus moves, from knife work and takedowns to groping, seduction, humiliation, orgasm control and taking her right there. Prefer one big grid? Settings > Combat menu switches to Classic. Keyboard shortcuts included. - Kira fights beside you. She can be knocked out, and then it's on you to get her home. - Enemy portraits play video and react to the fight. Your attacks, her attacks, knockdowns and the finishing move play their own clips. - After the fight you decide what happens to every beaten woman: search her, strip her, tie her up, use her, share her with Kira, let her go or finish her. - Some enemies fight back with their bodies. Lose, and they take what they want. Kira - Trust, affection and lust, tracked separately. They change how she talks to you, what she wears and how far she'll go. - Her own room down the hall, where what she lets you do depends on how far you've earned it. - Knockouts and a coma arc: carry her back, keep watch in the medical bay, and choose what kind of man you are while she can't stop you. Travel - A world map with weather, time of day, road events and ambushes, and a scavenger's toll you can pay in scrap, pay in kind, or fight. - The Crossway trader, the Raider Camp, the Overgrown Ruins, the Hollow (a raider hold you find from a map) and more places to loot. - Fisher's Rest: a real fishing minigame (hold REEL or Space to fight the fish), lazy days on the dock with Kira, a redhead with a boat who wants a fishing lesson, and Tess, a topless rival angler across the cove who takes bets. Vault life - Food and water, with hunger warnings before it gets bad. - A Backpack with limited space and a vault storage room for everything else. - A wardrobe, armor and clothing repair with a sewing kit and scrap cloth. - A medical bay, your own quarters, and Kira's room down the hall.
