Clair Obscur: A Life to Dream is a visual novel with interactive mini-games, built in Unity by The Dome Works. It presents an alternate take on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, beginning at Stone Wave Cliffs, with Verso placed between his father and Gustave. You play a male protagonist exploring the Manor, reading Gustave’s journal during the expedition’s journey across the Continent, and using Monoco’s bell to hit floating nevrons. The game uses 2D CG artwork and offers choices that can lead to friendship or romance with Gustave, with multiple endings.

The current build is version 1, released on May 4, 2026. It is an initial release rather than a demo or finished build. The game runs on Windows, uses English, and is uncensored. The v1 changelog marks the first public launch.
