Coffee Buns is an 18+ Transformation Visual Novel set after the events of Mice Tea . It's been two years since since the worldwide release of Kemono Tea, which turns the people who drink it into anthropomorphic animals. Society is still adjusting to the idea of real-life furries, but that doesn't mean you can skip your day-job. Leonardo Bianco is a barista at a struggling café. His boss feels like hopping on the furry train might be just the thing to attract customers to the floundering business. Via a connection at another local business (which some returning readers might recognize), Leo and his co-workers are offered a chance to try transforming themselves. The tea works as advertised, but for Leo, there's more changes he didn't anticipate.

v0.9 New Story - Ash Date 3 As much fun as Leo has had on his dates with Ash, he's still not much closer to knowing where the two of them stand in a relationship. He figures going out to a concert might be a chance to get to know the real Ash, such as there is one. It might also be the perfect time to take the initiative in their physical relationship as well... The new story extends beyond the date though, with new dialogue and character appearances from Day 31 onwards, so stick around after this new chapter to see what's changed. New Music - Four New Tracks by Will Will's been busy for some time with projects like Chrono Gear and Unearth , so it's been a while since we've had some new tracks from him. He's returned with a vengeance with four new tracks in this update for your listening pleasure! All are variations on existing character themes, mostly for more low-key scenes when their regular themes might be too overpowering. However, the biggest addition is a new theme variation for Leo that plays on the last day of the story and is an audio culmination of his journey in the narrative. Give it a listen as you see the new dialogue in the final scene! New Art - Five New CGs from The Transformistress ! Mira has once again showcased her talent and prolificacy (had to look that up) with five all new illustrations for this update. Two of them are featured in the new story updates, one (shown below) is a totally new addition to something that was only in sprite form before, and two are redraws of exiting CGs now illustrated by Mira. Check out the Day 3 and Day 5 (at Ash's) scenes to check out the new art. Naomi Goes Vroom New Title Illustrations We've updated the main menu of the VN with new illustrations of Leo and Bonnie! We weren't satisfied with the composition and not being able to show both at once, so KDhynamo went ahead and made some all new illustrations. They might not appear if you've already completed the story, but we'll have a gallery in place once the final title illustration is added. v0.8 New Story - The End This update has three whole days of story that starts with Day 31, a full month after this whole saga started. Leo's been coasting along for some time now, but with such a milestone he (with some prodding) has determined it's about time to figure out where he stands as far as his identity goes. It's a decision that's going to have immediate consequences that spin out to the conclusion of the story. New Art - New Sprites, New CGs, New Characters! We mentioned last month that our artists were working on this update at the time, which we think will show in the amount of new art we've got in store for you. How much art? How about: Three new finished CGs, some with double digit amounts of alts Three new outfits Two new TF forms Several new characters That's a whole bunch as we pull out all the stops for the conclusion of Coffee Buns! v0.7.1 New Story - The Convention with Ash Ash has already invited you out to accompany her in her cosplay endeavors at the local convention, but now you can take her up on the offer. Ash hasn't yet revealed what she and Leo will be wearing, but once both are at the con she shows off a pair of outfits that readers might find familiar. Our favorite skunk has already displayed her love for dressing up and inhabiting different roles, but this update offers a closer and deeper look at her motivations and preferences for her hobby. Plus there's some pretty dresses to look at! New Art - Two new CGs from The Transformistress We're not going to design two dresses like that without showing them off, and Mira's come through with two illustrations of Leo and Ash strutting their stuff at the convention! New Art - Four New Sprites from KDhynamo The cosplay outfits are some of the most involved outfits KD's drawn for the VN so far, so that was probably all he worked on, right? Wrong! We tempted him with drawing two new office attire outfits for Leo and Ash, and he came through with two fantastic designs. New Art - New in-progress CG from UltraBondageFairy The visit to the con turns into something a little more once the duo get back to Ash's apartment, and UBF gets a chance to depict the two in their outfits for a sexy scene at the end of today's writing. UBF put a lot of care and detail into the dresses and we hope you enjoy it as you read the first intimate scene featuring Ash and Leo. New Art - Finished BG of Boss's Home from HeartGear Heart completed the background we introduced in the last update and you can finally see Boss's place in its full glory.

This game is technically well-made and visually impressive, but it struggles to deliver a satisfying payoff. The art and character designs are genuinely strong, and the transformation sequences are clearly crafted with care. The opening half builds an engaging journey, especially around identity and gradual change, and it sets expectations for meaningful romantic development. Unfortunately, the biggest weakness is choice impact. Most decisions feel cosmetic rather than narrative-shaping. Instead of branching into distinct routes, choices often just unlock or skip scenes while leading to largely the same conclusion. That makes the romance arcs feel shallow, especially when characters you invest in fade out near the end while others unexpectedly take center stage. The finale is where things really falter. It feels rushed and more like a setup for something else than a proper conclusion. After a strong start and solid midsection, the lack of emotional resolution makes the overall experience feel incomplete. If you're primarily interested in transformation content, there’s still value here thanks to the high-quality visuals and sequences. But if you're looking for meaningful branching romance and narrative payoff, this one may leave you wanting more.

I didn’t play Mice Tea , so I have nothing to compare like others. But I can say this one is really rough, especially at the end, it plays more like an episode cliffhanger than a proper finale. Most choices barely matter beyond unlocking the next scene, and they don't really shape the story at all. The romance was the biggest letdown: characters I focused on just vanish near the end, while new ones that I never picked suddenly take over the spotlight. There's good art and a strong enough start, but the end-payoff is weak and makes the whole experience feels unfinished and time a bit wasted.

If there was half stars I would give this 3.5, but since there isn't and in my opinion is closer to 3 than 4, 3 it is. Well written and with great visuals, but saddly there aren't many 'options'. Most of your choices don't really change the overal story much, unlike Mice Tea. It is good, but in all aspects I consider it a serious downgrade from the previous game that was a solid 5 in my opinion.

I would like to give it a 1 star but that wouldn't be fair to the great art in the game and the first half of the game is great. However the ending is rushed and honestly terrible. If you haven't played Mice Tea play that instead of this rubbish. Story 1/10 Characters 3/10 Art 7/10 Erotic content 2/10 The story started off as a journey of discovery for the MC Leo where there was a clear progression of them becoming more feminine over time and enjoying their experience. Also depending on which of the characters you pick as a love interest they also encourage Leo to various degrees as well. The ending completely destroyed this journey. Spoiler: Why the ending was terrible The ending wrapped it up with Leo identifying as non-binary which doesn't even make sense. In the world of Cinnamon Switch and Mice Tea it allows people to transition to either gender perfectly which is why no transgenders would exist because they would be either male or female. For some reason none of that mattered so you can either end the game as a busty feminine male. Or as a masuline women with a vagina but no breasts. So depsite spending the majority of the game as a beautiful bombshell female their own body went against their own wishes and changed the gender they identify as. I left why the ending is bad as a spoiler in case anyone cares about this terrible story. The game has barely any erotic content compared to Mice tea none of your romance choices mattered. The ending only slightly changes depending on the final transformation you chose. Wanted to have a straight romance only? Well you can't. Want a yuri romance only? Again you can't. Also not all the art is done, some of the romance interests get more screen time than others and no matter who you spend time with it doesn't matter as the ending is the same. As for positives the game has fantastic transformations and great sequences I think transformation mistress is a fantastic artist that was wasted on this game. If you are really into the TF kink I would still suggest playing the game as they do a fantastic job. I didn't give it a 10/10 simply because there wasn't enough of it and some art is incomplete. Also the Character artist is fantastic too. TLDR: In conclusion the game should be a lot better this is the same dev team that made Mice Tea which is the best TF game with furry elements in it since Pirate's Fate. If this was their 1st game I would have been more generous but this a clear example of devs getting bored and ending the game early. I hope Crossed signals their body swap game stays strong and doesn't get a sudden ending as well. Also Mice Tea DLC or expansion or even a sequel would be fantastic all this game achieved was to remind me how much I miss the Mice Tea cast.

I think this game is rather well made technically. Visuals are very well done, lots of great character designs, prose isn't amazing but does tap into the exciting parts of transformation well. My issue with it though is that I felt like my choices weren't really affecting anything. They're "opt in and outs" of seeing some dialogue and scenes, rather than changing the direction of the narrative. I kept getting options like "don't grow boobs" and thought that it would maybe mean they'd stay the same gender? To choose a different way of exploring their body image. But it's literally just "do you want to see them masturbate". What is the point of this following the opening choice of whether you want to see sex scenes? I kept picking Ash because I thought she was hot, thought they had chemistry with the main character in the first few scenes, and wanted to see spicy scenes with her. Literally nothing interesting happens. There's a scene, its not great and it happens way too late. She isn't even in a goth fit? She's cosplaying as a princess... I felt extremely baited by picking her, and based on skimming through the other "routes", this is not a unique issue. I don't think I can recommend this unless if you're really enticed by tf, and especially MtF content. I needed something extra and simply was not getting it.

I just LOVE this game, from the environment to the story to the way the story is portrayed and told, from the characters, It's just perfect, The overall feel of the game is just so cute and I love how it plays out, it's well paced and doesn't rush itself at all. I also enjoy how there are no punishing choices you can make, it's really just preference as to who you wanna go do something with, (PERSONALLY) My ONLY "complaint" is there being no gay/femboy (essentially the same shit) content. However this "complaint" is a bit biased as a femboy myself :3 BASICALLY to shorten it for those who don't like yap, I can highly recommend this game to people who like more easy-going and cute games and who aren't exactly focused on the porn aspect! <3

An early review here, only version 0.3.0, but I gotta say as someone who loved Mice Tea: this is already looking stellar. It feels a bit less traditional furry porny and more specifically tf/tg porny than Mice Tea did, so if that's not really your cuppa then know what you're in for. But the writing and art, much like with Mice Tea, are top notch. It's fun, light, and funny. The characters are all endearing and really well designed (I love how Naomi the deer girl wears hats just by like... hanging them on her antlers, it's adorable). I'm not sure what fetishes/other content is going to be explored outside of furry, tf, and tg. I'll be keeping up with the game and will update this review as the game updates, but right now there's the definite tf/tg and furry stuff I mentioned and one scene of the main character jacking his dick while betitted. For future content all I can say is probably some f/f and f/m, maybe m/m. People who whine about how every furry game has the gay tag are going to want to look elsewhere. If you liked Mice Tea this is shaping up to be more of the same.
