Curse of the Nether Regions is an adults-only 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania. Explore a beautifully handcrafted world with many pathways to unlock. Battle mighty foes. Mix and match skills and equipment to customize your combat style. Spoiler In this demo, you will follow Minerva through the first chapter of the game. In this chapter, you will fight against a handful of enemies and face off against the first Boss. In addition, there are 7 unique "bad ends" with several CGs to accompany them. In the final release, there will be eight chapters, each with their respective biomes to explore, enemies to fight, and "bad ends" to unlock. Backstory The universe is divided into 3 isolated domains, the upper realm Ea, the many mortal realms, and the Nether Regions down below. Interaction with the mortal realm for the deities above and below is only possible through the use of "Anchors", a deity's chosen representative in the mortal realm. For years the deities have fought over influence in the mortal realm through these Anchors, but things have changed. Over the centuries, mortal corruption has grown, allowing Culiebra, goddess of corruption, to achieve new heights. With her newfound power she attempts to disturb the natural order and tear down the barriers between worlds. She won't stop until all is under her control.

v0.1.2 Summary We are now hard at work on Chapter 2, but that doesn't mean we won't still be squashing bugs and improving the overall experience. This small update brings some nice new quality of life features and things players have been asking for. Below is the full list of changes. Content Updates Equipment menu updated to display the current stat modifiers of equipment and enchantments Camera tracking improved, and manual camera adjustment added (hold up or down to pan the camera) Updated the weapon attack display to show the weapon's base damage to hopefully make the numbers more intuitive Catnip returns! Catnip now appears in the forest (even after the Alraune is defeated). He will leave again in v0.2.0 to his intended location, but now players won't be locked out of his sticker & items after beating the boss. Bug Fixes Fixed an animation bug when back dashing against a wall Fixed an animation bug where the Hellhound's gill light layer wouldn't stay properly synced to the animation v0.1.1 Summary The demo has been out for two weeks now and the overall feedback has been fantastic! Thank you all so much for your support thus far, it means the world to us! This patch is mainly targeted at fixing bugs discovered after the initial launch as well as smoothing out the player experience here and there. This will provide a solid foundation as we build Chapter 2! Outstanding pixel art Awesome character design Gameplay is fun and smooth. Spells not only for combat. Game Over scenes. Enemies with variety of attacks Good combat mechanics I will support this game on patreon 10/10 so far.

Art: Not the best pixel-art I've seen. But it's good. Animations: Good. Sounds/Music: Great. Controls: HORRENDOUS. One of the most nonsensical control schemes I've ever seen. You can't remap movement to Arrow Keys, so you're stuck with WASD. Who uses I (i) for Back? Who the hell uses I (i) for Menu? Who the hell uses F and G to go back and forth? So many bizarre controls here. Platforming: Good, responsive, jumps nice, moves nice. Gameplay: The controls are in the way, but otherwise good. Scenes: Decent at best, could be better. Combat: The lack of ranged attacks, combined with some really annoying to hit enemies (bees and harpies) makes combat a bit annoying at times, but overall it's decent. Level Design: Leaves a lot to be desired and you can get stuck in the second elevator area if you fall under the elevator. Some rooms require air dash before you get air dash. Overall: I think this is a promising demo that already comes with a decent amount of content. The main issue with this game, which is a particularly annoying one, is the completely nonsensical control scheme. It really does mess up with the experience. This needs an Arrow-Key-based control scheme ASAP.

Really good art, sound and animation with well-executed Castlevania-esque platformer gameplay. The scenes are really high energy with amazing soundwork, and the concepts of each are well realized as forced monsterdom There's a LOT of dedication on display here and a good amount of content for a demo, so totally worth trying out and supporting. Easily the most impressive first build of any hgame I have seen, but also a serious platformer on its own There is 1 precision platformer section for optional content, the rest is very relaxed

Cannot wait for more updates. Was initially hesitant because the some of the enemies in the cavern were really difficult but once interacting with the game inventory and skill system the difficulty works itself out. Amazing animations and a game over cgs. The boss was a bit rough for predicting movement but a real real real good start.

Classic Pixel Platformer that just perfectly balances everything. Story, gameplay, h-scenes, mechanics, its a great all-rounder and I cannot wait to see it flourish. Heavily reminds me of Crisis Point Extinction back before it went into development hell, so fingers crossed.

Unga Bunga Translation: "An impressive breath of fresh air for adult games. I literally got blasted back into the past of games like Night of Revenge for the first time. - Gameplay [A -] Platformers have never been my bag, but I fucking love them all the same. Controls are tight, responsive in some degrees but majority of the time responsive, combat is challenging and strategic. Honestly it's really well polished for a Demo and offers a larger portion of the game to play at the moment. Some things do need some work though, big thing is the quest journal and the control scheme. I'm really glad that I could remap my controls but man some of them were literally like "Why would you put that there?". And the quest tracker's only issue is being empty when an obstacle is in the way. Specifically the big vine in front of town, it didn't take me forever but still I ended up going all the way back to the start just to figure out there was a pit to drop down in. (I skipped the dialogue by accident so I didn't know what she said lol) - Storyline [A +] Honestly not bad. World building is solid and got me invested, wasn't overbearing or trying to explain rocket science. Only note I have is I'd like more lore drops in game, either from items, notes, etc. - Content [A -] Solid amount right now. Several enemies with their own scenes and bad endings. I think only one or two enemies had more than one scene so potentially more scenes will follow for enemies but at the moment it's one per. Only gripe is how limited they are. For instance the mushroom guy only has a blowjob scene and in his bad ending you see her riding him. Would be something I'd like to see outside of the bad ending but not losing my mind over it. - Artwork [A +] I don't usually go for the pixel/8-bit style art but this one does it really well and exceeds my expectations. Animations are just as fluid in combat as they are in sex, appreciate the voice acting as well. The bad ending CG's are good too, they're still images but I like the style. Would like to see them animated but that's just me. - Overall [A +] This was a knock out of the park for me. Really a type of game you don't see too often and has a LOT under the hood. Really well done, hope to see more of this."

damn fucking good, i was craving for a game like that, enjoyable gameplay, enjoyable h content an game progression like upgrading a weapon that u use, cant wait to see more of that, tired of 3d games that has nothing more than graphics

I don't usually review games on here, but this one deserves it. I would play this for the gameplay alone, which is a rarity in porn games. Movement and combat is fun and quick to pick up on. If you've played Castlevania: SOTN, you'll love this. It even has the spammable back dashes! However, since this is a review, there are a few small things I think could be improved upon/added. - Pregancy mechanics. So many enemies egg you in this game that it does feel like a little sad that there's no debuff to just carry around an egg for a bit before spawning an enemy. There's even in-game lore that supports fast gestation. - Anal content! So far it seems like it's all vaginal/oral. Add some butt love! - Ero-status. A tab that tracks body part development. The further developed, the harder it is to struggle against lewd enemy attacks. Permanent debuffs towards resisting certain enemies would be fun too. Eris Dysnomia would be a great example to draw inspiration from. This game genuinely has the most potential out of any recent release to be one of the all time greats. So many games here neglect the gameplay aspect and end up feeling like a gallery collector. For the first time in forever I was reading lore text and interested in characters. Will be watching this closely and paying full price upon release. 5/5.

There is one word to define this game: Love. You can tell the game was made with tons of it, every other review speaks what the game has, damn I never ever seen animations of when the FMC breaks free from an enemy grab in other games, always its just and white flash and the character its free, I just gonna say that the devs are worth of following and even after this game is complete I will follow their next projects lol

Honestly, one of the best sidescrollers to come out recently. Gameplay is great, though can be a little annoying with the camera sometimes. Enemies are varied. Scenes are fun and the animations/Voice/Effects are all top notch. The game is comical in writing and enemy interaction. Characters are fun and the single real boss fight in the demo is a good start

What a nice demo. Definitely one of the best platformers on this site. Will be looking forward to the full game but even 0.1 shows great promise. Controls are smooth and the plot moves along nicely. Great animations and bad ends as well.

The demo made me subscribe to the Patreon as it was that good ! Scenes and pixel animations are beautiful, gameplay is engaging, narration is right on what I like, skill tree for different weapons and magic ! Game really is promising and I wish all the best to the team !

Wow, what a great demo. Great animations and game over screens, decent handling and good combat. Cant wait to see what else they add in especially with weapons and such. Definitely excited for this one.

Outstanding. This is a mechanics-rich metroidvania, a rare breed of games in the adult scene. But Curse of the Nether Regions takes it further; it is so packed with mechanics, that it comfortably sits at the very top of the mechanics-rich hill, with only two adult metroidvanias comparable in depth. It has at least six different subsystems to the character progression that you can mix and match freely. A lot of those systems also meaningfully interact with other components of the game, i.e. some monsters have very pronounced elemental weaknesses, and the impact of weapon reach and speed should be self-evident. Speaking of content, the game boasts very nice art and memorable character designs, extremely expressive animations, great SFX, nice music, and a significant amount of cat puns. Okay, if you dislike puns, you can call it a gratuitous amount of puns. But what really stands out to me from the list of strengths is the apparent lack of a very pronounced weakness. All of that complexity I've just praised? It's would not be praiseworthy if it wasn't rooted in a solid platformer base, with all the necessary mechanics—like grace—implemented. The demo feels polished and bug-free, not to mention it already has a significant amount of content, with playtime of over an hour, and the number of animations and CGs is significant. This is built like a real game, not an amateur project. Overall, it's a very nice experience, and there's little I can nitpick over. So yeah, some minor mechanics aren't implemented, and the plot is a bit generic, and I've spotted a dangling participle or two—the horror! the horror! There's simply not much to complain about, which, if you know me, is a rarity. My biggest gripe is that a significant amount of porn is tied to losing. It's just not a good design choice, even if it's a classic. For a demo, this is superb quality. Now, the biggest challenge is how to make 7 more chapters and release them before we're all old and frail. This is my biggest real concern here, but what can I say about it? Godspeed and good luck, devs!
Elysian69 2026-06-25
Really fucking good. I have to really try hard to think about room for improvement because its already so good. Maybe including group animations for enemies or voice acting during sex beyond just moans? That's all I can think of really! But apart from that it really is so good. Just keep doing what you're doing devs you've got lightning in a bottle.
Jblyson 2026-06-25
It is crazy how much this demo is packed with. High quality animation, scenes, and voice acting. This demo deserves every bit of praise it has received. Give this one a try. It's even designed to be played one handed. Thoughtful.
DragonKidd223 2026-06-24
holy SHIT! now this is a demo, i am salivating over the potential. solid combat, amazing animations, VOICE ACTING??? most demo's that i find are a bundle of game mechanics and stock set pieces in a trench coat, this is better than some full release games!
SiGa7 2026-06-24
Fun game with a lot of potential. The demo was a great time, and there's quite a bit of content already. Honestly, I highly suggest trying it out as the game could get pretty big as time comes. High quality animations, great sound effects, fully playable with one hand (surprisingly without being a pain), plus battle fuck and CGin case of defeat (for every enemy). Looking forward to see how it evolves!
Gipped Gloppy Gogga 2026-06-24
This is really fun game play wise, a rarity in the porn game industry, and it has amazing art. It's really great to be just for a demo. I'm looking forward to this one, and hoping it doesn't get stuck in development hell.
SuperJoe69 2026-06-24
Pretty decent game. I'm looking forward to the full release. Solid capture animations along the lines you'd expect for a 2d platformer, and all the endings are well drawn. There is some platforming that is annoying, but that's normal for platformers.
