v0.1.0a
Initial Release
Really good game with lot a puzzle, a story that is really cool, maybe some little details that could be better such as getting locked from "true ending" after 7 hours playing xD But everything else is really appreciable.
Played the steam version on survival difficulty with infinite saves. I also used the pdf-guide a few times. The survival difficulty is mostly pretty balanced (didnt really need the infinite saves) and got most of the achievements. The only difficult part was the Imp fight. That was in my opinions a difficulty spike. Especially the first part. On the other hand the last part was pretty easy and fun. As always top animations and really great atmosphere. I really liked the gameplay about avoiding the enemies but the puzzles weren't always that fun. I have to admit I'm not really into puzzles so I might be a bit baised. The corruption mechanic was a bit flawed since, at full corruption, there were no reprecutions besides the Anna and Lord bad end. About the scenes in the recollection room there is unfortunatly no options for just the animations for the roaming enemies and i didnt find the glitch ghost animation either. Also for the main characteres the amount animations was a bit unbalanced. There were so many Imp animations compared to the rest. I'd have really loved more animations for the different characters, especially anna and the twins. The endings didnt really had proper animations and the dufferent art style was a bit of a turn off for me. All in all pretty desecent game. Just a lot of nitpicks.
(Full spoiler warnings below) My biggest complaint about this game has to do with its length. Which, on one hand- hey, if the only thing I can complain about for a game is that it ends, then that's gotta be a pretty good sign, right? Unfortunately there's a little bit more to that. I have very few complaints for everything up to the catacombs. I thought it was all paced decently well, it has great atmosphere, some pretty cool puzzles, visually amazing--the works, really. Great job there. The catacombs... are disappointing. There's just not enough there on a single playthrough. For context, I got the true ending, which meant that the catacombs consisted of: a couple cutscenes, a "puzzle" which paled in comparison to every other puzzle in the game, and a final confrontation where you... can walk around in a circle until you realize you can use an item from your inventory, which starts a chain of cutscenes that lead to the end of the game. That's just... disappointing, I think. I understand that the final confrontation can go differently, because there are different endings and such, but... for a single playthrough, it feels like there really isn't enough there. To use the h-scenes / animations as an example: there's 4 new erotic scenes in the catacombs: an animation with Clara, and a bad-end CG with Clara, Alice, and the Succubus Lord respectively. Meanwhile, Lily has almost twice as much as that entirely on her own. I understand that she's a fan favorite, and I love her too, but the fact that she got this much more content than Clara and the Succubus Lord, when they're the focal points of the entire story feels... anti-climactic, I guess. I just wish that the catacombs were longer, I guess. I think it sucks that, at least in the true ending, you never actually deal with the Succubus Lord yourself in the final confrontation. Alice just does it for you. I just think that there should have been something more that came before all of that. It didn't even necessarily have to be a new h-scene (though that would've been very welcome), just... something. We spent more time fighting her in Drain Mansion than we did in this game, and that just feels wrong to me. Overall still a great game. I enjoyed it a lot and am excited to see what comes from you in the future.
OK, so I picked this up after seeing it on the steam next stuff and decided to give it a go and was NOT disappointed. The review is based off the 0.8 patch and have to say there is a fair amount of content, I got about 5ish hours before I hit the unreleased part which seems to be the story ending (no satisfying end to this demo thus far). My rating on content so far? 5/5 for a porn game. The game is actually kinda scary some times, I legit got jump scared a time or two which is wild for an rpg maker. It's a pixel rpg version of resident evil kinda which was pretty interesting. H stuff: 7/10 There wasn't an extreme amount of sexy time stuff but came in to play enough. The scenes in the game were varied but kinda tame for this site. Not bad. The actual gameplay: 8/10 A lot of puzzles, like I said very resident evil-esque where you're constantly solving this puzzle or the next to get to the next area. I had to cheat once or twice and search the forums to get past certain areas (the garden area with the 4 ruins confused me). The story: 10/10 Man, I really felt bad for some of these girls. Fucked up stuff going on and it deals pretty heavily with mental disorders which are sad in general. I was actually engaged and wanting to play and find out what was going on. Music: 6/10 It was aight, appropriate but pretty basic. Characters: Lily, I love her. Her bad ending w/Anne was my good ending. The other ones were solid too. Overall a solid experience, like I said it's about 5 hours currently and definitely worth a play through. Can't wait for the final release on Patreon or Steam or whatever, ima pick it up for sure and support this title.
I'd give the game 5 stars just for Lily. She deserves more content, not because she has little, I just want more. Rest of the game is GOATED, it took a relatively long time to finish the 0.5 content, but I enjoyed every second. Edit: Yes, the review is short. Yes, I made it just to boost the rating. Yes, I became a patreon right after (First time paying for an H game btw).
Excellent prequel with good scenes and stories. The game is in work in the date I played it, but the hard work I see it's totally great. This is the prequel of Drain Mansion the art style and the gameplay change a lot. But have the same scense. Waiting for the finale update
0.4.5 Review. Do you know a game called Corpse Party: Tortured Souls? Well, I'm sorry for making you remember it if you do. This game is pretty much a corpse party but if you replace gore with porn. There's more of less nothing wrong about this game. The soundtrack may not be a masterpiece, but it's still a pleasant to listen to, and the story is simple, yet enjoyable. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that H-scenes are mainly present if you lose. The silver lining is that you can obtain a limited item that protects you from the consequences of losing, so at least there's that. The H-scenes themselves are made in pixel art style, which I don't mind at all. Especially if it comes with good animations. Yeah, I'd say give it a shot.
I think I've reached the point where I'm ready to just wait for this game's full release. So I thought I'd give a review with my current opinion, and see how that changes when I buy the game on steam later. For context, I haven't played any of the content in V 0.4, and only 0.3 and below. Alright, lets start with the bad. Uhh.. hm. "Bosses": They're eh, Annelise is the only one I saw, and that was alright. Obviously when trying to do a boss fight in a RPGM game that doesn't actually use RPG elements, theres limitations. I do wish there was something more akin to a chase, and personally found that the chase she performs before the chemical note, was significantly more fun and tense. Thats a small gripe though, and all I've really got in terms of negativity. As for the good: Fun characters and personalities: In comparison to Drain Mansion where only one or two characters got any chance to be well, characterized(Emi the goat?) This game has a lot more development to them, Annelise has remained my favorite but the extra depth given to our returning stars is much appreciated. Makes each enemy feel a little less generic, and even the patrol enemies get some love.. ocasionally. Puzzles: God I love these puzzles so much, its like an ARG but without the real world elements. I honestly wish there was a setting to disable the more obvious hints that have been added in recent versions, but some of these puzzles are genuinely so much fun. It goes to show how creative you can get with RPGM as an engine, without making an rpg. I would've replayed the game for 0.4 for the extra Lily puzzles, but I'll just get to experience those and everything else fresh on full release. Story/Lore: Oh boi, I love note lore. Especially the way it's handled in this game, the game is telling a significantly more in-depth story compared to the one that came before(or after, if you think about it). And once again, this lends itself to the characterization of our devilish friends. Its just awesome. I don't play the games for the H most of the time, at least, not anymore, Drain Mansion I played on a whim during a dark time. So I kind of played this game out of respect for it, I wasn't expecting to get so invested. I'm excited for the rest, as weird as that sounds. Kredyn can have my money. I'll review it on steam maybe for full release, or edit this one. Its not up there with SHRIFT or some other legendary games, which is why I gave it a 4/5, for now, if the story gets really really interesting, and I mean aside from the character lore(i.e: the main objective and progression in present time gets really interesting). I can see it making it up to 5/5. For now, thats all. Adieu. Edit: I didn't talk about atmosphere, but its a 10/10, anyways, Adieu2.
It's not really my type of game because I prefer domination than submission or being given the opportunity for both, but the atmosphere is incredible and the puzzles are varied, although too much for my f95-ruined brain. Good game so far.
This review was made for 0.2.0 Another game from the creator of Drain Mansion and it have awakened some old memories in me. Do you remember the times when you were young, you liked a game and the 2nd part came out of that game and you found out it is even bigger banger than the previous part? Well this is how I feel with this game. It took another direction going from a platformer to a resident evil-like puzzle game. Everything else is just an upgrade. The art got better, the animations are better, the dialogs are better. It can be seen that as the game gets developed, they gain more experience and their skill gets better too. This game so far created the atmosphere way better than the previous one. The puzzles are not *that* easy, but at least it makes me feel I play an actual game and not just a timed powerpoint presentation. I am interested in how the game will continue.
I really enjoyed my time with this little demo. The gameplay is a nice mix of puzzle solving horror from old-school Resident Evil with a dash of stealth mechanics similar to the MSX Metal Gear games. Nearly all the puzzles landed on point in the difficulty department, with my only real gripes being the clock puzzle and the chessboard puzzle. The chessboard puzzle is too easy since a note you find straight up tells you where the pieces are supposed to go. What I originally thought the puzzle was before finding the note, and what I suggest would be the better option, would be to give the incomplete board and make the player figure out what piece needs to go where to checkmate the king. You could have pieces be placed on all open spots and swap the answer note in the current version with a hint to get the player started. The clock puzzle, on the other hand, is too cryptic. Specifically the section where you figure out the minutes for the clock; counting the amount of times the candle flickers is something 99.9% of players are not going to catch onto since there's no mention of it (only "candles and digit" on the sheet). Easy fix here, put an extra note on the paper you interact with saying something to the effect of "times the candle nearly dies". I'm guessing most players were able to brute-force the puzzle like I did (hours and seconds are reasonable enough to find), but doing so left a bad taste in my mouth since the problem was solved through trial-and-error and not critical thinking. Moving on, the atmosphere of the game is shaping up nicely. The creepy factor of an abandoned institution combined with the knowledge a succubus can pop in on you at any time creates great suspense, especially when you combine that with limited resources and saves (28 years later and the RE1 formula still works wonders for horror games). Also happy to see there's not a reliance on jump scares, although the one towards the end of the demo did get me pretty good. Character designs and H-scenes are phenomenal as well. Not a whole lot since the game's still in development, but I'd much rather have the couple high quality scenes we got now instead of a slew of bilge. The imp gal is a pretty awesome character, especially with how she lets you win her games and saves your ass later in the story (...and has the best H-scene dialogue if you lose to her). Any monster girl guy like myself will be right at home here. Will definitely be keeping my eye on this project, can't wait to see what comes of it in the future!
The camera view is moved to the bottom right corner, showing me 1/4 of the map's locations, this makes the game literally unplayable. They need to fix this. I couldn't proceed at all. I can't really relate to the other positive reviews.
Really fun! (version 0.1.1 review) The puzzles are mostly very well done, the dialogues are interesting and the atmosphere is really cool. This, obviously, isn't the game that you're going to really shake with fear playing, but some of the interactions really impressed, so you can get a little scare or two sometimes. The story hasn't gone very far yet, so I believe it's still too early to judge completely. My first impressions are that the script isn't going to be anything mind-blowing, but it's good enough, the characters are quite charismatic, so I don't find that to be a problem. The art is wonderful, and the scary theme is a really cool point in some scenarios and menus. I didn't encounter any bugs despite the warnings at the beginning of the game, which is really great. In conclusion, it's really worth testing, the game is still quite short, but I can guarantee that it has a lot of potential. I really liked it!
Yeah like the review below, that's a promising game! That's not my cup of tea as of now but hey! will please people who like riddle and exploration. About the art, that's all animation and that's a plus. A little repetitive between each attack but that's an alpha. Thanks and good luck dev.
[Review is for v0.1.0a and will be updated if I get around to it] What a fantastic little demo! It's rare that I look at early releases, and even rarer that the quality is worthy of the hype. This horror-themed game clearly takes inspiration from the likes of Resident Evil and the RPGM games such as Ao Oni. But instead of running away from scary monsters, you gotta get away from the lusty succubi who want to drain our MC dry. I don't know why, but I just think horror and eroge just go well together, probably it's just the double thrill that takes your excitement to the next level. In classic horror game style, you need to find items and solve puzzles to advance through the game. Thankfully, there is an option to make all interactables visible so there's no frustrating check every random object in hopes of finding something useful (unless you want to, for whatever reason). Piecing together clues from the notes you gather will help you advance, and it seems the developer is taking extra steps to make certain aspects of the puzzle procedurally generated so no copying someone else's homework. The star of the show of course is the H interactions with the succubi, and each scene is rendered in gorgeous dot pixel animations. Succubi can appear in rooms, and when you enter their line of sight they'll give chase. When caught by a succubus, you need to enter a series of directions to escape. Take too long to escape, and you'll be squeezed to death. But worry not, because our hero finds a protective amulet that basically gives you a second chance against lesser succubi. Fail once and it breaks, which it can then be restored at a save point, but fail twice and, well.... Speaking of saves, this game has the option to be played with limited save items called paper charms, very similar to using ink ribbons in old school Resident Evil. But not only are these charms used for saving (or you can choose to save without needing them), they are used as part of the continue system. If you get drained by a succubus, they will corrupt the MC in the process. Give up a precious paper charm, and you can stop the corruption. How does corruption affect gameplay? Well, we'll just have to wait until the full release to find out... There is a lot to appreciate about this demo so far. Besides the atmosphere and animations, it's so nice to have 8-way movement, and with sprinting movement just feels very smooth in general. The modular levels of game settings also lets you experience the game from more hardcore to more casual depending on how you want at the start. If I had to level some criticisms, my biggest one so far is that Esc is the only functioning cancel key. I can use X to pull up the menu, but not to close the pause menu or cancel using an item when prompted. Not sure if this is a bug or an oversight, but it is inconvenient. My other criticisms so far have to do with sprinting: you have limited stamina for sprinting but there is no UI element for stamina. Same goes for your flashlight batteries, I presume leaving the flashlight on drains batteries which need to be replaced but I haven't used it that much to know for sure. I think these UI elements can be a visibility option for the player. Lastly, I think the randomized puzzles can also be a toggle. Some people are probably not up for figuring out everything themselves and will want to look up some answers, so I think a set puzzle mode would be appreciated for those players. Besides those suggestions I think this has been a very promising demo so far and I look forward to the full release.
