Dating Joyce: a Deckbuilding Game

This was much better than anticipated. The art style is original but not too much to my taste. However, the animation of it is quite good. I was not expecting the plot twist at the end of the first date series, which was very nice ! The complexity progression in deckbuilding is very good and it has a good balance of difficulty while still being possible. Great game !

Review (all comments here affect the rating): I wanted to like this game more. I understand the appeal to other people but as someone who doesn't like the dark souls series, I don't recommend this game very much. It is not as difficult as a souls game but it is not at all something you can blow through unless you enjoy sitting through the tedium of deck building (that's basically what you end up spending 30% of your time doing, is at home, figuring out which button gives you what cards and shit) The game even on easy mode is rather difficult. It's much too difficult for an "easy" mode, and by this I mean that your deck does not progress in a linear, easy way, where each card can give you +1 attraction so you can make a +10 and boom. The more cards you have in the end, the worse it is on certain levels. Gameplay Summary: Early on you focus on trust/attraction or whatever. Only two variables to consider and add to with your cards. Later, there's lust. You have to focus on getting as little lust as possible constantly. But oops if you focused too much on the first 2 variables (which are necessary for half the game) then those cards will get in the way completely, and so you have to have a bunch of cards that toss them away, adding to what other cards you might have that don't reduce your lust (so that you last longer than she does). Not to mention the complete failure for others in this thread to provide a full save that actually works, lol. And I looked in the gallery and the only things you're able to rewatch are the short CGs which are just pictures (maybe there's a hidden one with the sex scenes but I couldn't find it). It's quite frustrating because I can see how I could've enjoyed this game had it not been so annoying to complete, as an impatient person who just wants to progress relatively quickly. Some levels in this game have hidden requirements such as having to put sunscreen on her 4 times or whatever on the beach. One of the later levels involves using a powder card when she's in the bathroom. They weren't difficult to figure out, but the fact that you have to lose to realize what you need to do to progress instead of it just telling you from the start is just a bit inconvenient. Plus, there's CGs you can miss in a first play-through, which I do not like. Notes (these comments do not affect rating but are things to mention): The gameplay is unique, but that's only a positive if it's done well and in my opinion, it just falls short, just because of the gripes above. The game is very BDSM in its vibes. Firstly she kidnaps you into a jail cell and only lets you go when you don't cum from her. Later on, you do the same to her, which I enjoyed these parts as a switch but I do wish there was a clothes toggle instead of it being a card that takes up a space in the deck, but that's small and would be fine if it was in the lackluster ass gallery. The animations are very choppy and it doesn't feel like you're with the same woman all the time; not a gripe on its own, as I do enjoy that it's hand-made but I do not think this game is 4.5 stars worthy as-is.

Honestly great game, gets repetitive because it needs more card variety, but other than that, the different scenarios and how they effect the round is really original. True Battle-fuck, To anyone who liked Monster Girl Dreams, this game is a must

Biggest waste of potential on this site. I'm a sucker for deckbuilding games, and this one even had some nice, steamy flirting in Chapter 1. And the art style was great and original, too! But then, of course, it DRASTICALLY changes tone. There is no option to circumvent this: Spoiler No, you're pretty much forced into a footjob, of all things, with your rapist. Thanks! Dropped this, even though I really tried. The gameplay was not enticing enough in the long run to endure this. If you're not into femdom, I can't see anyone pushing past Chapter 2.

This is really a one of a kind game. The card mechanics are awesome - the game keeps you on your toes. You need to keep changing your deck for each scenario. H scenes are one of the best drawn scenes I've seen in a H-game. Joyce is so hot. The dialogue is great. Really 5/5.

best game ever, this was so fun and challenging, well thought out and super sexy. Loved how dark it was and unpredictable, i think it is not partial to any gender and it's a game i definetly want to play again. really excited to explore other titles related to the devs

Convinced the people on this site are actual smoothbrain cattle that will review anything positively as long as it has femdom and isn't rpgm. I immediately despised the game in Act 2 after being drugged and raped by the girl you're supposed to be dating, so that left a bad taste in my mouth already, and the quality of the sex scenes in Act 3 did not make up for that. The art is unique and the animations are good, everything else about this game I found insufferable. The card mechanics are unique for all of 5 minutes until you realize that the pool of cards is actually quite small and you're wasting them on a heroine who has roofied you and raped you like she has dozens of other guys. Should have given me an option to beat her unconscious and call the cops lmfao.

The card game aspect is very fun and only enhances the play-fight you have going on with Joyce. The scenes are as one would expect since the tone is more or less realistic-- visuals are a bit too vanilla for my tastes but the dialogue makes up for it. It's hard to point to a specific thing the game does in an "objectively" great manner but if you like Yu-Gi-Oh!'s solitaire, you'll probably find this game very fun to play. It is harder to recommend based on Joyce not because she is badly written by any means but she might just not be for everyone let's say. Since learning about her quirks is a part of the experience, I don't want to reveal anything as part of a silly review. I'll just say that she's not a vanilla, girl-next-door type and if that's what you want out of this dating/card game, you'll likely be disappointed. I just wanted to give this game its 5 stars, maaan! Didn't think it'd be this difficult to write a genuine review of it

Wildly exceeded my expectations. Almost too much "game" in my porn game, but the deck-building elements are really well done. The story is also really well done, particularly the dialogue in the library. 10/10

One of the best games I played on this site. It's deck building game with interesting twists and requirements for "boss fights" that ends with rewarding sex scenes. It has nice audio,good visuals and addicting gamplay loop. 10/10

This is a really good game that I highly recommend. The game works because social bf/gf and dom/sub interactions mesh well with the card mechanics of the game. As someone who is unfamiliar with card games, this is a nice introduction to card games for me. A big part of the fun is understanding what the cards do, and how it meshes with card strategies as a whole. The format delivers its intended content adequately, and here are some of the experiences that delighted me as I played: Different date scenarios require different optimized decks to meet its objectives. At the start the card games are really simple to figure out, and gets more challenging as I went further into the game. Eventually, I settled on a generic all-around-deck, but it would be awesome if I can easily store loadouts for decks for different sort of dates. I really appreciate that certain specific cards trigger specific chains of interactions. For instance, if I play the "chat" card in multiple rounds, the resulting conversation is actually a progression of getting to know the game characters. This is such a great feature, and I hope this would be developed in further iterations of these games. The visuals are okay. Even though lacking in polish, it more than makes up for that by the delivering a hot narrative that's racy and fun. I really like the twist between acts, and by the time I got to the middle of the game, I really got hooked by the story. Awesomely done, I hope the dev would come up with more of this in the future. Edit: I can't believe this game is actually on Steam, so I bought it there to support the Dev. Keep it up, Mr. Omshinwa!

Great approach to a different style of game. The card game is actually more fun than I expected from a game like this. I hope there is more to come in this format, either another story or an expansion to this one.

Completed it in one sitting, blew my expectations out the water honestly. The difficulty is there but it all feels rewarded properly with it's progression, sure there's a learning curve and some rng with it involving cards but you're given the freedom to (literally) stack the cards in your favor since the moment you first come home. I won most of the dates on their first day apart from like 2 that took a retry. Act 2 could have been shaky for me personally had I not been so immersed in the game already but I'm glad I stuck with it, Act 3 was absolute cinema and in hindsight Act 2 did an amazing job setting up for it despite not being to my taste. To think that you interact with practically no one other than Joyce the entirety of the game is kinda crazy to me, just two twisted lovers in their own little fantasy world. Really enjoyed the experience, highly recommend giving it a try if you're considering it or feel interested at all. Super well put together, nice visuals, interesting character(s) (talking rat that I don't fully understand the lore behind lmao), well thought out gameplay and I always love the inclusion of sfx in these games, some skip out on it but it contributes a lot to the immersion.

This is a really solid deck builder with some interesting story twists that you can probably complete in one session of a few hours. The deck building has enough complexity to be interesting in a shorter game, but if the game was longer would lose its appeal. Worth giving a try in my opinion. Pros - appropriate length for the experience its trying to convey - interesting story with several twists - fun gameplay - engaging female lead - BDSM content Cons - Deck building feels a little shallow by then end of the game once you figure out the optimal strategy of just recurring your powerful cards from the graveyard to reuse. Also not the largest card pool which limits deck building experimentation - H content while interesting in concept is not actually that sexy - does not really make use of the bdsm theme, no toys or ropes etc for the most part

I can't say much more than EVERYONE SHOULD TRY AND PLAY THAT GAME. It's not boring, it's very funny and sexy and... oh gosh that's my fucking favourite game now. The deckbuilding system is unique and interesting. The difficulty is really difficult. But gosh, how the author made the scenario and story of the game it's just unbelievably great

Hope the author keeps up with games like this, was immersive, sexy and so much fun. Joyce is a freak and i dislike the fact there wasn't much "choice" despite having the illusion of choice. That is however my only gripe. The card game is extremely addictive and the reward is always worth it.

Cool game, cool mechanics. An visual novel that is actually engaging to play, a wonder. I also really dig the art style, the story and the way you collect new cards. I have yetto finish the game, but as of now, it's a blast.

Okay, this game is actually really good. Act 1 really feels like you're dating someone. Deck building mechanic is fun. I had great times strategizing my card deck for different "mission". But later in act 3 you need to grind card and stamina to beat the game. The art is beautifully drawn, the character expression is really good. The downside aside from grinding on the later part is there's no anal scene replay. Noooo... I have to load my save and play card again to watch anal scene. Don't play this game if you're not into femdom, you've been warned!

[v2025-02-07] Nice little diamond in the rough with a lot of heart. A lot more content then you'd think with the premise, and very much worth playing through to the end. The kind of game we need more of.

Great game !! Good deck building game with smart mecanisms, a little bit of grinding but nothing bad. Nice artwork, mix of drawings over photo background, good sountrack and great scenario full of unexpected surprises. Very very good game overall !
