Dearth S is a story-driven RPG Maker adventure by periodBracket, set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world where the human population keeps shrinking. In this setting, lower-class men form an Alliance against Alpha males after women choose only Alphas for reproduction. The Alliance’s Four Great Doctors create Synonyms, partners bound to reproduce only with their original male partner. You play an Alliance member trying to locate his missing Synonym, because his survival and future depend on finding her. The game uses animated 2D scenes and written dialogue, with monster girl themes.
The current build is v0.0.5a.u1.f2, released May 2, 2025, and marked as an Alpha build, so development is still ongoing. It runs on Windows and is available in English without censorship. The latest changelog adds a fresh NSFW animation and CG for Malware, an improved Malware’s Shop, two new story cutscenes, two additional maps, and dialogue and story fixes.

In this desperate times, Women only choose Alpha males to reproduce.
So the lower class males created an Alliance and waged war against the Alpha males.
The Alliance produced The Four Great Doctors and created Synonyms to calm the rest of the lower classes.
These Synonyms can only reproduce with the man they were born with.
This incest behaviour pissed the Alpha males and decided to fight back.
This caused The Four Great Doctors into hiding, which halted the production of the Synonyms.
You're a member of the Alliance who is searching for his lost Synonym.
Lower classes can only reproduce with the Synonym they were born with, so it is crucial for him to find his lost Synonym.
What's a simple wish of getting his Synonym back, would prove to be a lot more "thrilling".
