About Effervescent Fantasy™
Effervescent Fantasy™ is an RPG Maker adventure by Lascivaware. You play La Princesse Rosé, an 18-year-old half succubus, on a fictional planet named Mercury orbiting a black hole. She seeks the Effervescent, a fantastical cure-all, to rescue her father, Le Roi Vin Gris, as he fades from visible light. The game mixes 2D movement and 3D CGI visuals, with menu portraits that add a touch of realism. Players can enchant demons, jump, swim, collect lire, and solve puzzles in a nonlinear, collectathon-style RPG. It also uses scrying, retro difficulty, and pseudo-3D battles filmed with a shaky voyeuristic camera. Optional voice acting is available for the protagonist.
The current build is v1.0.0, released April 24, 2023. Development is ongoing, because the changelog lists v4.40 as TBD. This update is described as a remaster with new content. The game runs on Windows and Mac, is in English, and is uncensored.
