Evos Rising

I love it. Interesting premise that depending on how it is handled it will be something special or just average. I like the MC, likeable and handsome. Now does he deserve to have a harem? Let's see how this plays out. The girls look great. Poster girl Skylar is best girl so far (sucker for a tough goth girl) but Iris, Emily, Kat and Siri (in that order) continue to grow on me. Dani, Olivia and Penny are hot but we need more bonding events with them for me to settle on how I feel about them. I hope as the plot develops we get an awesome villain and an interesting narrative to just wrap this into a one of kind experience.

v0.2a update review A superhero anime story that has likable characters, an interesting plot, and balances cute moments with LIs, H scenes, and plot development. An excellent experience for me. idk, about 2 hours worth of content I guess? Maybe a bit less? Feels pretty beefy so far. Spoiler: light spoilers for some things Story Interesting premise - people with super powers start appearing around the world call Evos. MC becomes one of them through a traumatic experience. The beginning is sort of a flash back "this is what happened" kind of thing, and the game proper so far takes place in that flashback/story. LIs Decent variety, looks and personalities. Some come across a bit cold at first but warm up fairly quickly. All attractive in their own way, although not all suit my personal tastes, which is fine. You get some early sexy scenes with side-LIs, the 2nd one, a cat girl who I really like. The first one that can possibly take the MC's virginity is a bit of a 'ehh' situation, you might like her or not. Lots of cute moments, some LIs seem to be genuinely in love with MC already , some are falling for him very quickly and some are more just attracted to him physically so far. Most LIs come across as virgin types, a couple definitely not but so far, there's no discussion of past sexual history. Seems to be a pretty safe harem game. No camwhores, prostitutes, etc so far. The one LI that manipulates the MC so far is seem to be apologetic at the end of the manipulation, so there is room for redemption there if the player wants it. Choices Lots of choices, all sex scenes/LIs are avoidable, although you are forced to hang out with them and be nice to them. Spoiler: weird choice/situation with 2 LIs One weird thing, there are affection points, and some of the choices are weird. Like, you see this one LI who you haven't seen in forever, and she barely notices you and just starts leaving. If you chose to stop her to say hi, another main LI is EXTREMELY upset and you lose a ton of points with her instantly. No explanation is given that I can see, but because it's such a negative reaction, the automatic response is to roll back and redo the choice with the proper response because you're possibly really offending 2 major LIs over what seems to be a very minor choice. Weird thing is, unless I missed something, you never really hear wtf that was all about anyways and why stopping someone to say hi is so offensive. It would have been nice on the 'right' path to have some mention of "Hey, thanks for not pushing her, she's 'x'. Instead, the LI is reintroduced a bit later, and everything is fine without a single mention of the weirdness (assuming you choose correctly) strange. Some of the choices are a bit hard to tell what the reaction will be, but generally "be nice" is the way to go, and the game immediately gives you a "so and so liked that" or "so and so disliked that" for the most part, so that's fine. MC MC is a nice guy, attractive, girls flock to him like a harem anime, which this is , so yea lol. His powers are of course unique and interesting, but he's not shown to be insanely OP from the start. He can take command of a situation when needed but also be more reserved and awkward in other moments. It works for the most part. Kinks Pretty vanilla so far, could be some mild femdom and maledom, no official lesbian but girls can possibly interact with each other in threesomes, dev has said that is avoidable. Sex 1 vaginal sex scene, 1 blowjob, 1 girl masturbating on a video she sends to MC with a dildo (not a fan), some kissing. I think that's about it. Scenes are hot, with a pov view sometimes for certain angles, really effective. Animations are hot. MC has a giant dick of course. QTEs There will be a few quick time events and already are a few now. It's not fun for me. One is the "catch her" and you have to press the button before the timer runs out. I play on auto-play so I like to just sit back and read while the screens automatically switch, so these type of things annoy me a lot because suddenly I fail because I'm not sitting there with my hand on the mouse, and have to roll back to redo it. Not a huge annoyance but enough to mention. The 2nd one was worse. There is a minigame with a number of QTEs in a row and you are rewarded with affection points from a specific LI. You're allowed to skip this and the game says "You will succeed if you have enough power". The first question of course is 'wtf is enough??' 8? 3? 4? what are we talking about there? Turns out, "power" is related to an LI that helps you with your Evo power, but you'd have no indication otherwise. If you ignore her and don't want to pursue her, apparently that will affect your power in the future, so you're being punished with other LIs for avoiding one specific LI. Really not a fan and I dont see the point. If you're going to let us skip it, just let us skip it and succeed. Why frustrate your players like that? Misc - expressions are good - models look good, some very good, it works. - battle scenes are actually interesting and don't take too long. - backgrounds are a bit ehhh sometimes, especially early on, but it's fine. - other male characters are not annoying assholes other than an obvious "i'm better than everyone" guy, but he's an asshole to everyone, and isn't hitting on LIs or anything. Time jump concern One thought/concern I have is how they will handle the inevitable time jump to the present that we see for a very short time at the beginning of the game. I'm afraid that I'll grow used to the vibe the past has, and really like it, and then suddenly we're thrown into the 'future' and relationships have changed, or new characters are introduced suddenly and we're expected to have specific feelings about that, or that the story will suddenly change gears so drastically that I'll be a bit 'huuuh?' with it all. I don't know, I just know it's going to have to be handled properly to work. People get used to a certain vibe with a story and when that changes, it can affect people's enjoyment. It's the very rare game that has me enjoying multiple updates in a row. That's very unusual for me. Usually devs throw in something that annoys me, etc and I start to lose interest, but this has me so far, and even stranger it's an anime superpower AVN, I'm almost never into these. Give it a shot, it's really good.

Plot : people with different superpowers trope go to a school to better train their abilities. Good things: MC is likeable. Doesn't come off as horn dog. No inner fckin monologues. Unique ideas for LIs, especially the girl who we will forget if we don't see her for few minutes etc. Animations for plot line are amazing and add to immersion Facial expression and hand gestures are so well done. Honestly it's rare that I see both executed well. Music well done Writing is decent actually. I was worried initially cuz kinda gave off p0rn logic vibe but it gets better as you move so I am no longer worried. Things that could improve: Sometimes felt like renders were older vs I could tell the new renders so hopefully future rework on old ones. Things kinda progress too fast, especially emotional connection, b/w MC and Potential LIs. Maybe let's take time to flush it out as we move the story cuz otherwise it will veer too much into p0rn logic. Bit of foreplay pls, more handholding kissing shit where applicable. Verdict : v0.1a has 1hr of playtime. Amazing renders and animations and very good narrative. I am cuming back to this and you should try it as well (the guy below me I trust for these games and if he liked it, no way I don't like it either and no way you won't like it either).

Review for v0.1a I think there's always something to be said for games that feel like they have a soul to them, and this strikes me as one of those games. It's not necessarily doing anything stellar and you could make an argument for a lot of aspects falling somewhere in the "average" range, but if you find AVNs to be a sort of guilty pleasure like I do, games like this can still really hit. That's not to insult the game either. It's a decent start to a "people have superpowers" setting with an opening version that doesn't end within 10 minutes. Of course it's still early, but it gives a good taste for some of the girls and teases at the grander plot. That being said, the visuals still fall middle of the road for honey select, it still takes place mostly around school like so many other AVNs, and there's moments where I find the writing for the MC to be a little weak. Girls are interesting enough though so far. I think the girl who's power is that everyone forgets her after not seeing her for a few minutes is an interesting premise for a love interest. I also find the non lewd scene animations pretty charming, probably BECAUSE of the jank lol. Like most early AVNs, just kinda gotta see where it goes. But I'd check it out again in the future.

PROS + At the start MC gets something, runs away from police, then gives it to lady named Evelyn, says all he want is his life, his memories back, she says ''You'll have to relive your memories, rebuild who you were, if you stay true to yourself, there won't be any issues'' and we start to see his memories as we play, and this is like Narrative of the game, kinda interesting, but wheter you like it or not is kinda subjective. There are some superpowers and stuff involved as well, and some mysterious stuff. + The game starts with non-lewd, kinda interesting animation, not too long, but still kinda immersive for the story part of the game. + Sex scene animations have above-average physics. + Female models mostly look good. CONS - Penny's and MC's relationship feels a bit weird, almost as if it needs an official ''patch'' to make any sense. - Visual quality-wise, the game looks kinda old and bad, hair, texture details, etc, not really good. Needs lots of improvements. - Sex scenes were way too close positions with kinda bad angles, the game needs more attractive, and a bit farther animation angles, and better positions. VERDICT Seems like an average game for now, depending on improvements, it could be good, but for now a bit too improvement needy.

As a first project, it demonstrates impressive ambition, blending narrative sophistication with polished presentation. While aimed at an adult audience, the novel focuses on relationships, personal growth, and emotional intimacy , avoiding explicit detail and instead emphasizing atmosphere, tension, and storytelling craft.

Definitely a good first version. The models are very attractive, several sex scenes which is a nice surprise for a first release. The story is decently interesting but is definitely not anything novel. I hate how many games get around the AI CG tag by using 1000 AI animations so I appreciate that if there are any AI animated scenes they are at least done well enough that it's difficult to notice. The sneak preview of upcoming patches shows some dedication to the project as well. Will be following this and excited to see how future versions turn out.
