About Failure Witch Iris and the Philosopher's Stone

Failure Witch Iris and the Philosopher's Stone is a fantasy adventure game made by Captain Sikorsky using the RPGM engine. It has a 2D animated look and puts you in control of Iris, a witch who sets out to collect materials for the Philosopher's Stone. Her journey is filled with hardships, and the story follows whether she can endure them and earn a promotion. The game presents mature themes, including corruption, in a straightforward way.

The current build is v1.0.2, released August 7, 2020, and development is ongoing, as a later update dated April 11, 2025 added an official English version. For ver1.1, the update includes bug fixes, two new event scenes, and a way to unlock the reminiscence room by checking its door three times. Ver1.2 adds two event scenes, while ver1.3 adds one event scene. The game runs on Windows, supports Japanese, English, and Chinese, and is uncensored.

After some bumps in the road, Iris decides go on a trip in order to search for the materials for the "Philosopher's Stone". Will Iris be able to overcome the many hardships awaiting her on her journey and advance to be able to promote? Formerly known as "Iris, the Dropout Witch and the Philosopher's Stone"
