About Heart Cage

Heart Cage is a Ren'Py visual novel by ricelovecoffee, featuring 2D CG art and voiced scenes. You take the role of a newly arrived detective in a town, becoming caught up in a serial killer case as three or more mysterious residents draw near. It mixes horror, romance, and dating sim themes.

The current build is v1.0 + DLC, released November 14, 2025, with development ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Mac, in English and Traditional Chinese, uncensored.

Good amount of work for world-building, so even prequel DLC exists. Some routes are more interesting, some are pretty boring. Art is nice, except body proportions. Gameplay is really as plain as it could be for default VN in renpy…
