HugSeeker
by UsedChip
You're a 19-year-old boy. You want a hug. Your only available targets? Your family. Three girls, none of them normal. When the need for basic affection is treated like a nuisance, you'll have to carve your path to human contact by force. Praise, sabotage, harassment... maybe even forum-grade philosophy. A story about emotional starvation, bad ideas, and misplaced sincerity.

This isn't an AVN. It's an incel story line. As of 0.3, there is no nudity or sexual content , no fun, and no interesting progression beyond the vague hope that every character gets hit by a bus. I have never given a game a 1 star review before, but this one deserves it. I'm being very serious, don't play this game if you are currently depressed.
v0.3 Very interesting so far. The combination of armchair philosophy and a detached writing style is very unique and entertaining to read through. The writer has a knack for witty dialogue and seems to know how to keep it tight and not devolve into quippy silliness. There's not much erotic content to speak of but it's got the foundation set up nicely. Overall an intriguing concept which I hope to see develop further.
HugSeeker is a slowpaced visual novel about family, affection, and personal connection. The characters are charming, and the story is surprisingly emotional, despite the limited content. The AI art isn't perfect, but it works well enough with the narrative. It’s still early in development, but the game shows real promise. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
Really interesting characters and setup. Really excited to see more and support the creator. Can't wait for more updates and content on this one. Really unique take on the formula, girls are beautiful.
I love Lydia in the way I think I only can because I once basically was her . Yes, head pats would have melted me too. (On a somewhat less sincere note, it's rare for a mom route to hold any appeal for me, but you pulled it off. Kudos!) This is fucking adorable and I can't wait for more.
This game feels... Comforting? At first i was skeptic but with the story goes i start to care about MC family condition. Surprisingly it is decently written so the story is enjoyable to follow so far. My only complain is the pacing, this review is written at version 0.3 and for a VN with lack of sexual content and AI CG (not that i complaining on both of that), the content is minimal. So i hope the dev can work on that for future update
As of 0.2 this VN is still in it's diapers but I am charmed by it's juvenile yet interesting writing. The setting of the story is quite goofy but it's very unique. MC is vocally starved for attention so he decides to go full "if there's a hole there's a way" on his family and the meat of the game lies on the actions and reactions of a slow burn conquest. Definitely a game that scratches an itch that is seldom properly addressed on porn games in which you spam the same interaction over and over without any text or flavor until the characters relent.
I quite enjoy the concept of the game, and I gotta say I'm intrigued with how this story can/will progress. My alternate title to this game is "Emotionally Abused Young Adult Simulator." Led is great; she has a great design and funny quirks. I love girls that look like raccoons. To address the elephant in the room, the AI art is distracting for me. It's just off enough for me to fixate on details that I'm sure the developer never intended to be focused on. The mom and each of the two sisters all seem like they were made with different art styles in mind, and that just feels disorienting. I understand not everyone can have the time and/or money to get art done, but I would make a plea on my hands and knees that eventually, some of the art can move away from AI, and the AI merely can serve as a stepping stone. It'd be very easy to get the sprites of the characters drawn as a starting point and then move onto bigger things once there's the time. In summary, neat concept here that is undeniably intriguing, but I'm ultimately left with a bad taste in my mouth due to the use of AI art.
Reviewed as of v0.2: Still very early in development, but I enjoyed the current content and I am definitely looking forward to seeing where it goes. So far, I like the story, characters, and dialogue. As the developer and others have mentioned, the pacing is slow but to me it feels natural rather than contrived. The art is AI but I feel like the dev did a good job with what is currently in the game. To me, the art serves well enough as a visual complement to the writing which is the main draw for me so far anyway.
The game has a nice story and a very slow burn. Day by day the mc gets closer to his sisters and mom with the objective of getting a simple hug. I find it weird that it's so hard to get a hug from his family but hey, there's different type of familes I guess. The game uses AI Art but I would still recommend since it's not the AI slop we're used to. Overall, the characters are interesting and the story is well told. Not much content currently but this game definitely has potential, 100% recommend it.
Really glad I checked this out. It's a rare occassion that I find on this site dialogues this nice. AI art is a non-issue. Looks great, not like some quick-done slop one can find anywhere. Hope the burn keeps the slow pace Kudos to the dev, made me write my first ever review here (I think it's the first)
I think its AI art and I am sad about it because I really like the way the story is written. The only thing I can say about this game is that it is in all ways really good except the AI art. I think that the characters are quite good. Each of them has their own personality and theme, which makes the interactions feel different from another.
Its good. The strange feeling of trying to understand or empathize with the almost robotic behaviors of the characters is something I haven't found elsewhere, so hats off for originality. There isn't much yet in the way of "content" but it's definitely going places. Will be watching with interest.
Damn. I think I will watch this project with great interest. The premise is great. The Art even though its AI looks really decent and not over the top. Im very interested about the future interactions with your family. Some optimization on the dialogue would make it better in my opinion. For this kind of game you NEED a good, chill BGM. Thats very important. I hope you will continue to release monthly updates. This way you should get attention much faster and I would def. support you more this way also. Great release. Keep it up please, dear Dev!
