I Was a Teenage Vampire Rebuild

I love everything about this game. It does really well of capturing that 80's vibe, and all of the characters are unique and fun in their own way. You can tell that the dev is passionate about this game. The music is great, there are a lot of high quality animations, and the story is engaging. I just wish the H scenes were a bit longer. I'll be supporting this dev and I encourage others to as well because it would be a tragedy if this game got abandoned.

Review at v. 0.8.1b Holy shit! This game vibes like it could have been Stranger Things with lewds, had it been made for Netflix. The, dare I say, unique art style is refreshing, and environment and world building is credible and incredible. Just the sheer world building, archetypes and character-depth here is very well done and gives a very good sense of immersion into the game world. Relations and relative complexity of a high school setting anno 1989 is mirrored very well in the game, down to social dynamics between students - like lunch break dynamics and hall way dynamics - all in the narrative spirit of the game, driving on instead of grinding on. The cast is fairly diverse, and the models are all beautiful, as said the art style is somewhat unique and its refreshing not meeting the same faces under different name. Instead these characters are their own and have very good consistency in archetype and dialogue. Humor is another thing that's going very good for this game, not the slap stick kind but a rather nuanced and advanced take on archetypes and America anno 1989. The ambience is further reinforced by a super soundtrack, which really aligns with the synthwave 80's style we've come to know from Stranger Things. This is a MUST PLAY, if you're a fan of VNs with a bit of depth and a superb ambience, I played it with the mod, because I hate missing out and there is very good contents in the game, with hopefully more to come. As one of the VN's that has surprised me most positively lately this is a clear 5 star recommendation, play this - if you like the vibe, stay for the story and the lewds.

I typically steer clear of visual novels, as I prefer gameplay that offers deeper agency than simply choosing which scenes to trigger. However, I must admit—this is an absolute masterpiece. The narrative unfolds at a measured pace, yet it remains consistently compelling and never feels stagnant. From a character standpoint, the cast is diverse enough to cater to any preference. It is also immediately apparent that the renders are a labor of love; the sheer level of craftsmanship is unmistakable. Every scene is executed with precision, with no visible dip in quality. I rarely grant a five-star rating, but in this case, it is thoroughly deserved. I eagerly anticipate the next update.

This Game is Extremely well made. The character models are changed enough so they don't look like the same 5 girls we see in every Game on the site. The story so far has me personally intrigued. and the Music is Fantastic. I hope to keep seeing the Dev do great things. Please Don't abandon it like so many Other Great games on this site.

Absolutely charming, bravo! This one owns the "vibe" in and out. Music, visuals, dialogue, looks, to the tiny detail in the choice of fonts and mannerisms brings in the immersion to a level only a few in this website can pull it off. It has this whole mature Stranger Things vibes, the scenes are carefully colored with the classics pallet, BGM supports moments of tension and relief, not to mention the superb job on characters' faces we rarely see. All this to say, there's care and love in this project, I could EASILY be a mature series if such things exist in the future, hope for the best, cheers!

Style is strange, or rather different, looks like drawn in pencil, its unique but wont charm everyone Inconsistent renders and animations throughout the AVN e.g. Fuzzy, dull almost hazy look often creeps in where sometimes there are more crisp, clear ones. Animations suffer from same, often dull and hazy but there are others that are clean and sharper. Some events and scenes feel random and abrupt, they start off like they going in a direction then never do. Relationship with Clarissa, this being set feel and reads weird, when set to something like "sister" not because of the incest but because of how it reads in dialogue. OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS & FINAL REMARKS : NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer. (Read them or don't) Not much negative to say but the art/look style is for me the least desirable feature which is ironically probably its most unique feature, in a way feels like a cheap out using this instead of straight up 3DCG. Per above, the issue is for me because of the dullness you get from a "pencil" coloured drawing, there is often that dull, hazy look, where details are often lost. What really drives this home though is the inconsistent nature of the renders. In some cases its dull and generally "bland" but you get some scenes that are more detailed and actually stand out, these I personally preferred and a good example is the end of this update when Kellie asks the MC to let her into the house. Looking at her at the window, that dull/hazy look is prevalent but just before the sex animation it starts getting a little better, sharper, colours are more vibrant and the cinematic itself is actually good. I would prefer the cinematic style renders. It still retained the "pencil"style renders but looked sharper and more detailed, at least most of it, but even during this scene there were hazy, dull renders, which I did not like much. TLDR: Here is a solid AVN, interesting story, sexy characters, some decent kinks like pregnancy built on an interesting and unique style, that while unique will not be something everyone will enjoy. Overall its done well, but the main issue is its inconsistent quality and often most of its renders are dull, hazy and less appealing that your traditional 3DCG.

Ok i was sceptical at first looking at the renders and the premise, there are some quotes from some of the late 80s films like Back to the Future, clock tower etc. I thought cheesy at first, then the pizza place was cheesy too lol. Characters tbh are hot for cartoons lol, the storyline is good, plenty of laughs. Sex scenes only a few but they are pretty good actually as well. This time my scepticism was wrong this is actually an awesome game, finished a bit quickly, so i hope there are regular updates i will probably wait a few updates before continuing i would like to play a few hours a time so i think this may only be small updates. Very deserved 5 stars at the moment.

Review for v0.8.0 I'll be the first to say I've probably grown overly-critical of lewd games, but with limited time and a hundred other games out there, I think my pickiness is warranted. I really want to be invested in something if I'm going to sit down and play it, and unfortunately this hasn't gotten me invested. This game is very reminiscent of the many sandbox games on this site. Not in gameplay, but in storytelling. It feels like the MC is moving in 10 different directions and everyone is very weakly connected. You jump from what feels like random event to random event in a sort of incoherent mess. Not that it's hard to follow, but more so it feels like these events serve no real purpose other than to maybe lead to a sex scene. Go mow a lawn, then go deliver pizza, then go to the photo studio, then go help a girl get revenge on her ex, etc. Characters lack real complexity and relationship development before jumping to sex, and the MC feels like he has a real minor presence despite being the MC in that it feels like he's just going through the motions is maybe the way to put it? I feel the narrative in this is just really weak overall honestly. It's super cliche and coasts more on the 80s vibe and unique visual style (more on that later) rather than being super compelling. There's one scene that counteracts that, where a group forms of some of the characters and they all hang out and have a pool day. That dynamic should have happened wayyyyy earlier. Then at the same time I feel other events are almost nonsensical. You and that one girl lay on a roof, have a first kiss, and then suddenly she says "oh I'm sleepy" and passes out. Then the MC says "I'm sleepy too" and falls asleep. He wakes up later, she's gone. Just bizarre? Which is a shame because they share a really nice moment before that where she talks about how if the MC ever leaves town, she wants him to promise he will take her with her. Which is really sweat when it's coming from this social outcast girl who struggles with belonging. The art style. Going to be honest, I don't really like it. I read that the dev isn't using AI and seen the proof. Not saying it is AI, but man if this doesn't give AI vibes in how it looks. Sometimes the filter makes the girls look alright, sometimes I feel everyone looks smudged to straight up amorphous blobs. You actively see objects morph around sometimes due to the heavy filter. The filter itself feels overdone maybe? I'd be curious what the renders would look like toned down. Regardless, not much of a fan. It feels like it eliminates detail with the smudgy look and I just don't really like it at the end of the day. As mentioned before it's hard for me to really get pulled into sex scenes when that connection isn't there/hasn't developed. Casual hookups are fine, but even then it just feels like something is lacking. A couple wants you to inseminate the wife. Which then just throws you into a sex scene menu without much dialogue, and then after it's over you just kind of leave. A neighborhood milf character could have had so much more go into it man. Is the game terrible? No, and I get why people like it. 80s meets vampires is a pretty cool concept too. But it's sort of a battle of style vs substance for me. The game has the style, but misses that substance.

This is a pretty good game. The art is great and different from other games with their Daz3d or HS. There are a lot of sexy LIs too. The story works for what it is. Overall it's pretty enjoyable too which is also unique to these games. I never found myself clicking through to avoid a bunch of dumb shit. The only drawback is there isn't more. I think the art style is really good. I'd almost give 5 stars but it's a bit short still so 4 out of 5 for now.

Version played : v0.7.6 A fun time overall. Intriguing story with decent writing, nice looking characters and true 80's vibes. It's got a few hours of gameplay but it feels like the story is still in it's early days - like Act I or something of sort - so while quite enjoyable to play it might be worth giving it more time. Characters are likeable and the adult content is good - not too much of it right now though. If it keeps going in this direction it will be one of the best games, but I feel like it's going to take quite a while for it to finish.

Game with great potential and a passionate and informative developer. The story provides intrigue through a memorable cast of characters who let the story shine with their personalities. My only critique would be the lack of branching as choices simply determine whether you go down a path with a character or not. I know its in its earlier stages so im interested in the devs vision. Making branching paths makes a whole lot more workload. I wish the best for this project. Looking forward to how this turns out.

The aesthetic of this is everything, very good looking game. The story is compelling and the characters are cool too. The sound design is awesome I love the music as well. Just wish the game was longer, this VN could really hit it out of the park.

The story is intriguing and the artstyle is unique. The girls are beautiful and the setting is great. But I'm gonna be 100% honest with you, I'm only giving this 5 stars because of the amazing synthwave soundtrack. The game is good but the way the music really puts you in the late 80s mindset is kinda crazy. I may have this one run in the background while doing other tasks.

Almost instantly became one of my top favorites moments after starting the game. Unique pastel look to the art and Stranger Things vibes for an engrossing game. Sweet, with some amazing girls and one bicycle. Looking forward to the next chapter.

There really aren't that many Vns set in the 1980s, so the setting is quite nice. I love the graphics/artistic style. It feels like the dev put an 80s movie quality filter on it. The writing is decent, the LIs look good enough, and the adult scenes, some somewhat basic aren't bad either. Only thing going againt it, is that this is already the 2nd try for the dev to get this story going, and there just isn't that much of it yet. I think it took me like ~3 hours to get to the current end of content.

I absolutely love the vibes of this game. The 80s motif is perfectly executed. Also, it fits my kinks, which of course helps. Beyond the sex though, I think it have compelling characters and and an interesting mystery element and plot. I can't wait to finds out what happens next and hope the dev is very successful.

How this is getting such high reviews is genuinely beyond me. the characters aren't very interesting with 2/3 of them just being total cliche's, but my major issue is the fact this game is UGLY. It's SO ugly for no reason. I don't know if they're using a combination of A.I and filters or something, but omg the entire game is just in this ugly haze with facetuned faces and a lot of the sex scenes feel like those images that get turned into moving pictures with A.I. It's just so bad.

Although it is school setting, the story in last century gives more satisfication and entertainment than i expect. Very cool game, and i like the art style especially. Hope the author can produce more contents, so that there was more to dive into!
