Intertwined is a Ren'Py visual novel by Yukine Alterma, presented with 2D computer graphics. You play a male protagonist in a fantasy world where life follows a relentless cycle and some Transcendents are born to defy the laws governing the realms. The story blends horror, romance, and ancient legends around beings of chaos and a presence that waits in darkness for a moment of weakness. It features multiple endings.
The current build is v1.16, released on December 18, 2020, and development appears ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, is written in English, and is uncensored. The latest changelog says the update continues the story with Chapter 6 part 1, split into two parts because the chapter is long. The creator also notes that some newer art may look odd due to a hand injury, and that old code was repaired, so players may report bugs.

Within the world, life marches on in its never-ending cycle. Those caught within its unbridled grasp know naught of anything else other than the cruel grasp of fate. Yet, there exists those who are born to defy the laws that govern the realms. For they are known as Transcendents. Spoiler: More Beings of untold chaos stirs within the center of all existence, a maelstrom of untapped, incomprehensible power only spoken of within ancient stories of eld. Yet, to some, those stories are more than fantasy. In the darkest corners of your mind, it stirs. Watching. Waiting. Preparing. For the moment you let yourself slip. For in the darkness, void of the safety of light, it stalks its prey. Awaiting for the right time to pounce. All may seem normal, but in truth we shed ignorance and in shedding ignorance, we become enlightened to the true nature of what lies beyond the grasp of our fingertips. What may exist you ask? Only time will tell. Only fate can answer. As our lives become Intertwined!
