Jezebel is a narrative-driven adult visual novel set in the medieval city of Rosegate, the political and commercial hub of a bustling kingdom. You play as Duvessa Devereux , an amoral noblewoman who seeks to scheme her way to the top of the food chain. The game features RPG elements, branching narratives, and a sub/dom alignment system that allows you to play god with Duvessa’s life. It is up to you whether she will be a master manipulator, seductress and femme fatale, or if she will be humiliated and brought to submit by the cutthroat world around her. Your choices determine both how the characters develop and what happens to the kingdom and the various factions vying for power.

Bonus Scene #2
I love this scene and the oddly emotional story it tells. It ended up being a good bit longer than the first bonus, and contains a lot of cool character stuff that I hope will enhance your understanding of the way she thinks, along with some other details about the world. Even the faceless protagonist has a nice little arc. Erika is definitely my second favourite character to write after Duvessa at the moment, and I enjoyed taking this little dive into her world.
I think it probably won't be for everyone, but remember that it's only canon if you want it to be! Even if you do decide it's non-canon to one (or all) of your Jezebel saves, I think there's still a lot of value here, as you can still learn a lot more about these characters and the way they would act in certain situations. And, of course, enjoy the sex scenes. XD

The UI of the game looks good but there's not that many scenes as I expected, the scenes are also not that good either. There's some incest vibe too but never gets there and the lesbian relations are interesting. No built in walkthrough at least after finishing once nor tips to how to unlock galery scenes. Also dom vs sub in this game is kinda weird, I didnt liked that.
I don't ever write reviews but I felt that this game specifically deserved it. Thus far, it's a well developed world for where it is in development, and the writing and story is very attention catching and genuinely kept me reading past just the porn aspect (although the porn is also good.) I really love the medieval setting, personally. I'm going to keep this short but the main takeaway should be that this is a story 100% worth going through, and is already nearing toward the top of my list despite being relatively new and early in development, I can't wait to see where it goes from here, as the dev very obviously cares about making this game great.
I'm flabbergasted, in more ways than one: one, because this is a legitimate narrative powerhouse that already puts to shame actual full length VNs in terms of content... and it's only been less than a year since it came out! Two, because this is practically the single other narrative-based political sim out there outside of Suzerain that actually does the genre justice. And, three, it manages to achieve all that while allowing itself to weave in sizzling hot sex scenes in the midst of the narrative's focus on struggle for power. Jezebel is a medieval narrative political simulator visual novel that blends court intrigue with subtle otome-style romantic elements, creating a massively flexible role-playing experience. The story centers on Duvessa, a protagonist defined by her narcissism and emotionally transactional worldview, whose driving hunger for power shapes the tone of the narrative from the outset. Rather than presenting her as an inherently sympathetic heroine or going the safe "blank slate" protagonist route, the game challenges players to step into the mindset of someone whose ambitions often outweigh her moral considerations (or lack thereof). Now, now, I get what you're going to say next... "why would I want to experience an RPG starring a character I can't relate to?" to which I'll respond: that's where the brilliance of the narrative comes in. You see, while Jezebel sets you down the path of achieving Duvessa's ambitions for power, the world is your oyster when it comes to how (or even if) you make those into a reality: while she can be played as a ruthless political predator (especially with a dominant alignment), the writing also supports more pragmatic routes that allows you put a leash on her ambitions (most notably with a submissive alignment, which is my personal preference) in which she must negotiate, compromise, and strategically (or otherwise ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) concede ground to allies and rivals alike. You can even make it so that you set her up for failure and watch her downfall if you dislike her so much ( albeit the single instance of failure so far gets resolved fairly abruptly, but the story is still in its infancy so we shall see whether that is a real path in the game ). Moving on to the last aspect worth addressing: the unabashedly bisexual (probably my favorite part of the entire thing, fans of bi content are dying of thirst out here!) NSFW dimension of Jezebel (duh). While some players may feel uneasy about how the game intertwines sub/dom dynamics not only within intimate scenes but also within the broader framework of political decision-making, I personally found this design choice to be one of its most striking strengths. It’s surprisingly rare for games to treat a character’s sexuality as an extension of their social and psychological identity rather than a compartmentalized bonus feature. Many titles present romance or erotic encounters as isolated interludes, disconnected from how characters negotiate authority, vulnerability, or ambition in their everyday interactions. Jezebel rejects that separation outright as for it sex is power: not merely in the provocative sense, but as a consistent language through which influence, dependency, and leverage are expressed. What makes this approach effective is how unapologetically cohesive it feels: the same instincts that guide Duvessa’s political maneuvering like calculation or empathy, dominance or submission, ruthlessness or pity, also shape her relationships behind closed doors. The result is a character whose personal and public selves are inseparable. Rather than offering escapist fantasy that allows players to neatly compartmentalize desire and ambition, the game insists that both spheres inform each other, creating a thematic integrity where erotic tension heightens, rather than distracts from, the central drama of power and control. Phew, haven't typed a review that long in a while. Now, you'll notice I didn't particularly talk in any certain depth about the story's content, but that's on purpose as I think I would be doing people a disservice if I were to spoil any of it. I wrote this review explicitly to encourage any people on the fence to try it out for themselves, and I hope I achieved that for some.
Well, this is not a Game of Thrones. From the very beginning, our heroine is presented to us as a villainous super-brain who, at the click of her fingers, creates complex conspiracies, cracking down on her aristocratic rivals. Convince a virtuous wife to take part in her husband's murder? Destroy the life of your own brother or rival lord's daughter? A couple of trifles, the main thing is not to forget to laugh villainously in the finale. The author has spent a lot of effort to describe the setting of his fictional world in detail and tediously... but because of it the easy successes of our character look all the more ridiculous. It's impossible to believe this story, and there's nothing but history here. And this is not a Game of Sex. Dom / Sub stats - It's not about sex, it's about how brazenly our heroine behaves. It's a rather strange approach, considering that in the Game of Thrones here, our heroine is not only not Jamie, she's not even Cersei Lannister. She's more like Margaery Tyrell. She does not cut down enemies with a sword in her hand or give orders to her servants, she weaves intrigues, negotiates and builds alliances. Such a character needs a combination of behavioral tactics, but certainly not a choice of one of them. Anyway, looks like this game is not about sex, but with such a low-quality visual design, sex is not what I expected here. PRO and CONTRA - Visual art is poor and dev promises to make it even more poor by removing AI assets. Hmm... Game menu and gui well-made, screens mostly acceptable, but character sprites... - List of characters, quests, game lore is highly required, but the Encyclopedia folder is already in the game menu, so I'm sure it will be done soon. ---UPDATE--- according to the Dev, the Encyclopedia already made in v.2.04. Reviewed version is 2.02. + music is definitely good and appropriate. + writing is good (if you ok with first passage of this review, of course) ERGO To make a game with villainous and cunning female protagonist is definitely good and non-ordinary idea, but the result is mostly disappointing .
v2.04 TLDR: Medieval nobility politics, basically. If you're here only for pr0n move right past this one. +Writer is actually fairly competent, but boy is there a fuck-ton of typos. SPELLCHECK, is a thing. +++Rather enjoyed being an evil noble here, well-written evil is so fucking rare it's practically a unicorn, needles to say i was absolutely fucking ELATED to FINALLY have found some of that delicious unicorn meat to sink my teeth into. Evil-dom mc here is almost my spirit animal. -Basically no sex scenes if you are dominant (for now at least.) I was hoping to subjugate lots of pets, be able to train 'em to my liking, take them on public walks, lend them to others as fucktoys for fun or as bargaining chips for shady deals~, decorate their bodies with piercings and brands and tattoos and other mods and shit, organize slave auctions for filthy rich nobles perhaps.. but.. alas... it's just vanilla. (At least for now.) Being an evil bitch could have been so much more fun in here, but the version of the game is still low soo... maybe? We shall see how this goes down in the long run. -Those character customization choices such as in 'fields of study' don't explain clearly enough what they actually do, picked music and at first couldn't tell at all what it did exactly. I'm still not entirely sure i figured it out fully lol. At the very least, they need to have more prominent effects in the game and/or perhaps a better description. Afterword: Well-written mc, and well-written everything else in general, the other stuff like sound and visuals is.. average at best i'd say, i've seen it all a hundred times in a hundred different manhwas, mangas, animes, and games. Honestly, even the story is not really a big deal. Sex? It all bored me since i am not a fan of vanilla, but dev implied that this will improve and i chose to believe. Anyway, there's really only one aspect in this vn that truly impressed me, and that would be how the evil mc is written here, that's the only thing i truly dig so far. There are also plenty of choices to be made in this vn but their effects are not always clear , kinda like gambling, you often can't tell when shit happens because you did something somewhere before to trigger it. You also get railroaded in chapter one and must act as good boi~, or else. I hate being railroaded so much i can barely stand it, but what can you do, i guess i won't let this affect the stars this time because writer did amuse me to a good degree with just that one thing i mentioned, although i still feel that i should lower the score lol. Fine, whatever. Have fun ma bois an' gals~
I'm surprised by how much content there is in a single episode. Not to mention how brilliant the plot and writing are. I love this game. The world building and story are not only amazing, but the characters and dialogue is well written in a nuanced and fun manner. The art is good. The 2D sprites are good but the paint style drawings in between are especially superb. I like the choices. They truly matter and shape the narrative a lot. The sub/dom system is implemented in a good way. It's not overbearing to where you are forced into choices you don't want to make, but it's sensitive enough to allow you to truly express the character you want to. 5/5 stars. No criticisms. One of my top 3 games on this site. Good chance to be my top 1.
This is my first review ever and I just have to say that this is ond of the best VNs that I've ever read. I've got really invested in the story and the characters and I hope this will be continued further. One small point of criticism: In the lewd scenes the stationary image disappears after one line of text (Or only appears after the last line in some cases). I know this is not the main focus od the game, but I personally think it would work much better if the picture stayed for the duration of the dialogue instead of a black screen.
Jezebel is an absolute pleasure to read. The characters have some real personality to them, especially our protagonist. The worldbuilding is also very immersive. Your choices seem to have some actual weight to them, affecting both your character's personality and the world around you. Also one of the few games with a female MC that actually deserves the Lesbian tag. Most other games I've played simply have one route or one scene. I'm glad that there's multiple female LIs in the game, and that they're so well-written. If there's one gripe, though this is more my personal preference than anything, is that I usually like wholesome happy-go-lucky stories. I'm a sucker for happy endings, I hope with the right choices Duvessa can get one! Considering this dreary world though and her own personality, it seems unlikely.
I really enjoyed Jezebel. It’s a bold, story-driven story set in a gritty complicated medieval world. The characters are interesting, the writing pulls you in, and the creative premise and branching paths kept me hooked and wanting to see more.
Best female protagonist on the site. Also one of the most engaging plots here, easily good VN quality. Scenes are impressively sexy with the assets the author has. Probably because of the context the plot gives it As far as content- time of gameplay goes it has a surprising big amount for how new the game dev is I really did not expect much from this, but it s a fantastic hidden gem
so far excellent setting, plot and especially writing style. Cute protagonist (in her own ways). I didn't expect to see an example of high literary style in eroge. Usually in these games I cant find well written, multifaceted female protagonist.
Review as of Ep. 2 v2.02 Although this game is still in early stages of development at the time of writing this review, having only had it's original release and then one update, it already shows an incredible amount of promise. And both the original release plus the update are substantial in content. In total, despite how recent this game is, you can expect at least 10 hours of game play give or take already. The art is good and the characters are likable (or like to hate in some cases). The story is compelling, very reminiscent of the type of political intrigue Game of Thrones had in the earlier seasons, which bring the characters and world to life and only serve to enhance the spicy scenes. The creator seems to have a good grasp on the English language which cannot be said across the board when it comes to adult games, which is a very good plus. The biggest praise I can give for the game though is how much choices seem to already change the narrative and the spicy scenes as well. If you are like me, you may initially be turned off by the idea of the game where it describes you playing a dominant female protagonist. When I first saw this, I was originally going to pass on the game as when playing as a female MC, I prefer playing as someone who is submissive or becomes submissive over the course of the game. However, seeing that the creator intended to have a sub/dom scale that your choices would change, I decided to give the game a go. And I am glad I did. Although the MC, Duvessa, is a very dominant and ambition character, with the limited content we currently have, it is already clear that not only does the creator know how to write a submissive protag, but knows how to write it being believable that a normally headstrong, dominant woman would suddenly exhibit submissive tendency given the right circumstances. And we already are seeing how these submissive moments can lead to further submissiveness down the road and bleeding out into other aspects of her personality. Writing submissive scenes for a character that is always shown to be submissive is easy. Writing submissive scenes for a dominant character is art. And of course, if it is your preference, you can choose to play her as the dominant person Duvessa is first presented to us as and from what little I've seen exploring paths out of curiosity it is still just as good as my preferred play style even if it's not my personal cup of tea. The only real complaint I could justify for this game at this point in time is that sex scenes can sometimes feel like they are too spread out from one another, and when they do happen can be a bit shorter than would be preferable. But the creator has already expressed the intent to both have longer scenes and more frequent scenes as the story continues and the story/world/characters are more flushed out and established. So having faith in the creator, along with how active they are in the forums, those complaints don't even warrant taking away from the overall rating at this point in time, in my opinion. TLDR: A must try for any lover of female protagonist games regardless if you enjoy having a submissive or dominant female protag. Especially so if you enjoy compelling characters and story and aren't just looking for a quick fap fest.
Peak political VN with dom/sub flexibility and a variety of interesting characters to play around with. Writing even out of the porn scenarios is intriguing and I found myself quite invested with the current scenarios. The art and the porn itself is also top tier tho! Can't wait to see where the game goes from here.
I enjoy the story, although I also greatly enjoy reading Villainess manhwas where the female lead isn't afraid of behaving in a way that puts everyone else beneath her and considers them all disposable (I mean sure that's what a "Villainess" is supposed to entail but plenty of stories try to make the lead have a 'Coming to Jesus' moment and have them try to reconcile past behavior all story long). Duvessa is unapologetic the whole way through, and I find that makes the story very enjoyable. Also the porn is good and has a CG/Scene gallery
This is an excellent VN where you might come for the porn, stay for the story especially if you do enjoy the scheming/bastard protagonist in a pseudo medieval/enlightment setting with a lot of political intrigue. Character arts and scenes are good (perhaps my objections would be that the height of the characters on screen isn't really clear, but the Ren'Py format makes it hard for the artist to work with and maybe some minor weirdness in regards to some female armour design to be nitpicky). The background are a work in progress and in some scene it shows but it's not, IMO, a dealbreaker. Story is excellent, already quite large, not afraid to touch some complex subject (how the hell did I find a scene that could pass for a 17th/18th century debate about religious tolerance and well written at that?). The characters are attaching and deep, with their motivation and agency. They're also not all playersexual which is a breath of fresh air to see acknowledged. As is, the product is excellent, the first act being already a quasi complete and satisfying experience. The pace of release seems decent for something that came out 5 months ago as of the time this review is being written; worries would be how the author(s?) will keep track of all the plotlines and characters since it's a very ambitious story with quite a large cast with a lot of story impacting choices and, as with every ambitious VN, the moment the author(s?) will hit that author block moment.
One of the better games I've played in a long while! There are a few minor flaws here and there but, overall, if you like an actual story in your AVN, alongside some good worldbuilding and choices that actually direct the game, this is the one for you! Dommy Duvessa best girl
This is such a fantastic game! Ep. 2 sounds like barely nothing, but it's already hours and hours of content including dozens of choices that at least feel meaningful (only played sub path so far so can't be sure ofc). As others said, the writing (and art) is absolutely superb. The writer's grasp of language far exceeds the average English person, in both repertoire & vocabulary as well as expression. I read a lot of novels & novellas and the quality and pleasure is comparable. It's got just the right mix of seriousness and humour for me, with fantastic & interesting characters everywhere! Finally, I had my trepidations about the MC being, well, a b*tch. Getting to play an actually capable & highly intelligent female MC is a rare and much needed pleasure in H-games, but I was afraid from the game's description that we'd be locked into either playing an evil a-hole psychopath, or indeed a fool (neither of which I much care for). While she does mostly seem to start off as all that, our choices can slowly begin to move her in a different direction. And the way they've written that is absolutely wonderful! Probably one of the most astoundingly well written (and realistic) character development / redemption arcs I've read. Spoiler: MC character development musings In a sense, our choices can make her increasingly come off as someone not inherently evil & sociopathic, but rather someone who's emotionally stunted. As if by trauma, circumstance, or simply conflicting motives and lack of experience. Not all of our choices boil down to just sub / dom. While it's hard to say just how far this character development will ultimately go, at the end of the current version in my game she was far from some sociopath, more like a highly ambitious tsundere in self-denial. :>
I am a huge enjoyer of the all villainess anime, manhwa, manga, and web novels. This feels like an absolutely beautiful take on those same novels, so many of them based on games, that creates a great story and integrates the porn in a beautiful way. To say I'll be watching this project is way too light to express my excitement.
I wrote a spoiler-free review on the thread as well as a spoiler full analysis. I recommend reading those to really know what I think. Quick Summary. Jezebel is a wonderful story full of captivating characters in a grounded believable fictional world. Duvessa Devereux is the sexy, intelligent and unscrupulous protagonist whose lofty ambitions you help realize or sabotage. The choices you make are varied and allow you to deal with the many obstacles in Duvessa's way while making your story unique enough to the point it even seems to accommodate total failure, if that's what you're into. I would liken Jezebel to an indie Game of Thrones. Politics, schemes, clashing ambitions and personalities, lots of names to remember (aided by an in-game encyclopaedia), and sex. One of the best stories I've ever seen in an adult VN.
This is the story of Duvessa Devereux , a noble woman whose cunning intellect is matched only by her profound amorality. Duvessa is the daughter of Lord Dallan, a great noble and a member of the King's Council. But despite being older, smarter, and more willing than her brother, she's not considered heir material due to the strict patriarchy she lives in. Her future looks bleak as Lord Dallan wishes to marry her off for political gain, but Duvessa has other plans. All Duvessa wants is her freedom - and as much power as she can get her hands on. For her, it's the journey that matters, not the destination: Davor: What would all that power have gotten me...really? The things I'd do to keep it...would bring me no closer to the Gods... Duvessa: It's not about what you get...it's about the chase. Duvessa: Once I've won, I move on to the next thing. That's the only way I know how to live. Davor: Hmph...I think that rather sad. Duvessa: Perhaps it is. But I make do, nonetheless. Click to expand... To that end, there is no one she isn't willing to cross, nor any depths she isn't willing to descend to. Her mind is her greatest asset, but her body is a close second. Men drool after her, women are afraid of her. With that in mind, the game allows you lots of leeway to shape Duvessa's approach to conflict. Duvessa can allow her body to be used to manipulate others (the submissive approach), not-so-gently coerce others through sex (the dominant way), or rely on pure mental acumen (and brute force) to inflict severe cruelty to her targets. The game's greatest strength is Duvessa's characterization. Externally, she is a tour de force - confident, decisive, witty and amoral. Internally, though, she is aware that something must be wrong with her. She is not loving or caring in the slightest. There’s something hollow in her victories. You get the sense that even when she wins, she’s already moved on - chasing the next thing, half-hoping it'll fill the void she won't admit is there. On the rare occasion she's being honest with someone, instead of making her happy, this merely confuses her: Duvessa said: Once again, I don't believe that I'm lying to her. Unless being sincere is just as foreign to me as being judgemental is to her, and I'm simply unfamiliar. Click to expand... For Duvessa, people are a means to an end. She might object to being married off for political gain - but only because it's not her gain . That's her in a nutshell. It's not the cruelty she minds, it's the lack of control. Similarly, a future child doesn't interest her except as an heir, but she's self-aware enough not to inflict herself on a child: Duvessa said: An eventual marriage for political gain is inevitable. However, I'm perfectly happy to bide my time until I find the best union I possibly can. Perhaps I'll manage to talk some Great House into accepting a marriage which grants my offspring the Devereux name. Children, however...that's another story. I would surely make an awful mother, and raising the whelp myself doesn't interest me. Perhaps I'll have just one...to keep people from talking. I could ship it off to be raised in Fortbelle, ever so far away from my corrosive influence. Click to expand... The patriarchal society and the way men treat Duvessa, are a source of both constant frustration and endless amusement to her. When talking about the boys who used to court her in their youth, she says: Duvessa said: They were ever so interested in me because of my beauty and my name, but hardly any of them knew a thing about me. They were all such dullards, to boot. So obsessed with reaching this picture perfect ideal of chivalry that they read about in some old romance. Not an original thought in their heads. Click to expand... But even her privilege has its limits: Duvessa said: It pisses me off to think that I was treated with more gravitas by all these powerful men when I was eighteen than I am now. Jarik, Davor Quinza, Ondrea Calder, Jasen, hell, even my own father. The list of insolent imbeciles who have patronized me since my return is far too long. Click to expand... Given her character, there are no LIs and certainly no romance in the game. But there are some sexual partners you can choose to be kind to. I'll talk about my favourite - Erika. She is a naive, bubbly peasant girl. Polite and unfailingly kind, Erika has no filter and no sense of decorum. She nicknames Duvessa "V" shortly after they meet - a major faux pas, given their stations - but Duvessa can't bring herself to lash out because Erika is so transparently earnest. This eventually leads to Duvessa deciding to be honest and direct with Erika, something terrifyingly out of character for her: Duvessa: Erika... Duvessa: You know that I'm a bad person, right? Duvessa: If you let yourself get close to me, I'll probably end up using you for my own ends. It could very well be ruinous for you. Erika: Fully aware! Duvessa: I'm only telling you this because I like you, but-wait, what? Duvessa: ...so...you know that I'm trouble. Erika: Yup! Duvessa: And you're okay with that? Erika: Affirmative. Duvessa: Even if it ends up hurting you? Erika: Yes'm. Duvessa: ...why? Click to expand... Going further into this dialogue would be a spoiler, so hopefully this was enough to give you a taste. The story’s mostly about Duvessa’s scheming - sharp, twisty palace intrigue - but there’s also this creeping discomfort with her own cruelty, and a weird, escalating bout of insomnia that she can’t quite explain. Even though it's only episode 1, the game has well over 300K words, and can easily take 20+ hours to read. Choices in this game are significant and lead to major plot differences. I recommend deciding on who you want Duvessa to be, and making choices accordingly. Trying to meta-game it by looking up points or reading the script will only frustrate you. You might hit an early end or two, but even those are smartly written. Anyway, strongly recommended!
