About Journal Monstrae

Journal Monstrae is a fantasy adult RPGMaker sandbox from Specific360, built with 2D computer-generated art and turn-based combat. Humans survive in hidden villages while Monstrae observe from the shadows. You play a courier known as a Seelie, chosen to link scattered settlements, carry letters and parcels, and investigate disappearances. Your home is Gothspell, and your new duties let you explore a world filled with monster girl encounters and domination themes.

The current build is version v0.2.1, released on June 14, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux in English, with no censorship. This update adds the Meadowbend region, new Monstrae: Evening Dustwing, Plains Stally, and Everfield Nymph, plus spirits Bloom and Denim. It also adds achievements, level scaling for Monstrae encounters, scenes for Firoe after Hedonist’s Trail, revised Bluewoods and Blackshore maps, redrawn Forest Nokken and world map, and revised art for Sam, Helena, Lucas, Alice, Forest Nokken. Journal map sections unlock through offerings at hidden Waystone Shrines.

Developer's description

Humans have always lived in the shadow of Monstrae. In secret hamlets like yours, humanity hides itself away from their ravenous gazes. However, humans cannot remain isolated forever, people inevitably come and go, and often disappear. As a result, Seelies are selected to travel the world and connect the disparate human towns and villages, delivering letters and packages, as well as recovering whatever may remain of those who have gone missing. You have always been curious about the world outside your home in Gothspell, and now that you have been selected as a Seelie you have the perfect opportunity to see as much of it as you can.
