Just a Dream is a Ren'Py visual novel by Nmezme, using 3D CG art in a school setting. You play a male assistant teacher helping students at an all-girls school while forced smiles, missing memories, and a cracking world suggest something is wrong. The story centers on mystery and the search for truth as you question what is real and what has happened before.
The current build is v0.11 with the Kanna Silence DLC, released June 11, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, and Android in English without censorship. The update adds Chapter 7 to the main game, a new menu, four adjustable text boxes in settings, a jukebox, and a wardrobe for the hover menu. The DLC is a quieter prologue introducing Kanna Matsumoto before her story connects to the larger mystery, with friends Tamao and Hana encouraging her to join a relay race after the sports festival is announced.
Developer's description
You wake up to a seemingly normal day, surrounded by familiar faces in a peaceful all-girls school. As a newly assigned assistant teacher, your job seems simple—help guide your students and get through the daily routine. But something feels... off.
The smiles feel forced. The memories don't add up. And the more you try to piece things together, the more the world around you starts to crack.
What is real? What is a dream? And why do you feel like you've done all of this before?
Unravel the truth hidden beneath layers of distorted reality, fragmented memories, and an ever-present sense of deja vu. But be careful—some truths are better left forgotten.

DLC Kanna Silence
This story is a quiet and personal prologue. Its beginning is not designed to be as impactful as the main game's opening in Just a Dream. Consider this a deeper introduction to the DLC's main character Kanna Matsumoto, before her story becomes entangled with the larger mystery. When the annual school sports festival is announced her energetic friends, Tamao and Hana, urge her to join the relay race team. This forces Kanna to confront her deepest fear, performing in public and being judged by everyone. The story is an intimate character study focusing on Kanna's struggle with anxiety and the pressure of expectations, all while strange occurrences begin to foreshadow the events of the main game.

It has potential. But that's just about all at the moment. As a fan of the "LIL Genre", what's there right now hits the familiar notes and could become something solid in time. The characters and their designs each stand…
