I want to start with probably the best compliment I have for this game. To avoid breaking the rule #2, I'd say this game is inspired by a particular game/developer who is being referenced on the poster of the MC room. Peak references peak and all that, you know? This game is genuine. It has its flaws, it's rather raw and some game design decisions are not implemented/not polished, hence 4 stars (we will be watching your career with great interest.png). But! But so far the game is "likeable", it's a product of passion. References, themes, dialogue, story progression (so far) has a particular mix of cringe and sincerity that is heartwarming. About specifics: 0. Content Forgot it's a porn game. I saw maybe like 1,5-2 scenes in my time playing. For some it would be an issue, so consider it if you're looking for something to jump through scenes while having your dih assaulted. 1. Story The intro/prologue is captivating, there is some basic premise, some mystery, convenient story hooks that can be developed further. I am conflicted about the amount of edgy passages going around, but at the same time it's kind of "the theme" of the story. The MC seems to quickly evolve from this Shadow the Hedgehog personality through the prologue, but it lingers for quite some time and sometimes rather randomly shoots up. What seems to be in need of work is the transition from a prologue (which has a confident structure and is interesting to go through seeing what is the next event in the "main quest"), once it's over and the sandbox starts it becomes. well, a sandbox. No clear goal, no clear focus, just a big number of fillers going around. It does not help that I got a bug where the "dog" lady randomly started talking about some crime scene that I never saw in the game. So apparently there is more "main quest" activities, but it's not integrated with the main loop. 2. Dialogues Kinda the same what was said above - a mix of sincerity and cringe. For now seems like the core of personalities of different characters hadn't been fully thought out, a lot of characters are heavily representative of some stereotype (or couple of them) and it's hard to feel the difference between them. There are some "quirks" (like one character using nouns from different language, the other speaking in tiktok comments) and main stereotypes (tomboy, nerd, class president, etc) but they are yet underdeveloped. Personally, I think there is no need to have so many active characters around, it would be best to focus on a handful of them and focus on their routes/their character in order to both have strong characters you can build your story upon and by having a bit more opportunity for character expression. Rome wasn't built in a night, more characters can be introduced later once you have a good fundament. Right now the dialogue and a lot of characters seem to be redundant and it doesn't help that a lot of them have couple of dialogue-events and that's it. 3. Graphics I understand it's the models from some common tool (kotatsu or smth), so in terms of artstyle it's pretty common. There is certainly a big work done to make different characters unique and have types for different preferences (I feel like at least couple of chars were inspired by other medias). The author seems to be very diligent in how they go about designing every character, to make their appearance both reflective of their personality and "unique", so that's very commendable. Still, I think point above about having too many active characters is yet detrimental to the overall. I think it would have been "fine" to only focus on like half of the cast for now and introduce others at later point in time. The graphics also mean that there are some rough edges here and there (i.e. lighting, some poses and anatomy). 4. UI So far easily the weakest part of the game, IMO. A bit hard to navigate and to check the progress/quest/ understand where to go. Probably an afterthought at this point, but I understand from the thread this is one of the things being planned to be addressed. 5. Other I have no issues with the theme or the intent behind the story and various parts of the game, but I think there are better ways than to randomly implement analogue horror and epilepsy-inducing imagery in random places (Quest log does not need flashy background). Actionable items (i.e. clicking on some part of the render to move) could be a bit more clear. Summary: Overall, a "potential man" of this genre of VN. Genuine effort and passion through the project - commendable and respectable. The author seems rather nice and if the used references is anything to consider, they do have a very broad of media under their belt that can be used as a "standard" for the future of their game. Interesting project, will keep an eye on it.

A breath of fresh air in the h game sphere. Mc isn't a massive pervert, plot is smthn new that I haven't personally seen before, every character has interested me, plot doesn't become an immediate fck fest. List goes on. Stand outs for me include: - the mc's sidekick isn't annoying. I found Kitsune to be actually really fun and supportive while still staying somewhat mysterious with some of her intentions. Her ears are fcking adorable - cast of characters is possibly the most diverse I've ever seen. Afro-French, Muslim, and Portuguese are cultures I never thought I'd see in a h game, but I'm so happy they're included. A non-xenophobic h game dev is a rare sight nowadays. And even more props for including some light-hearted, Rush Hour tier race jokes instead of raw, blatant racism - truly gorgeous character designs. Average breast size is maybe reaching a little into cliche h game territory but still happy regardless Only cons: - mc's design feels contradictory for being an introverted, loner with insomnia. Dude is wearing the most attention seeky emo fit you can think of with dyed hair and tats. Not saying I don't like it. Just he looks far too good for someone who's gone through shit and has distanced himself from others for awhile - caught the LiL bug. vast majority of events are weekend only, making weekdays kinda grindy and repetitive - handful of events still have an old art/animation style that's really rough compared to the pristine of the current style. not a con for still being present, more so that it's the most random times the styles change and it can be kinda jarring - honestly a lot of typos but it's whatever. I'd imagine it's an easy fix and even then it doesn't ruin dialogue imo - not a ton of content yet. not necessarily a con just a warning for others. what's there right now has hooked me Overall, excellent game that I hope will get the attention and updates it deserves more sexy time with Kitsune plz

Really great Koikatsu renders. The writing - the dialogue really - could use a little work. The plot writing is better. But when the renders are this good it’s tough to complain. I recommend checking it out. Music is good too.

A great game that suffers extremely from lack of content. Probably some of the best characters and art ive seen in a koikatsu game, but after a ton of updates theres still almost no sex scenes, and one of the only few sex scenes doesent even include one of the main girls. its disappointing really, especially with how long of a wait there is between updates.

Well. It's good. It's really good. It's doing thangs. Art thangs. Sometimes it can get a liiiitle up it's ass in cringe. But it's sincere. And that's far more important than avoiding cringe. The only real issue I can provide is that it's early enough along that if you go in seeking porn, you will be largely disappointed. The Koikatu work that is there is fairly solid. Well above average. But there isn't much of it yet. There's storytelling going on. Gonna have to wait a while from right now, I reckon, to get into that realm. But it's happening. Slow and steady, and the good characterization and narrative will make it all the better when it hits. ... oh also it uses a lot of social horror. If you know what that means, be aware. A whole different genre of cringe that is more a personal problem of the viewer. But it's worth withstanding. I think. Also the actual horror segments are really fun! Some of them genuinely gave me a bit of a skin crawl. Very nice work!

Updated rating to 3 after giving it a second go with a clear head. Initial review (whats left of it at least): Models Looked great honestly which makes me sad that I cant see anything past what is basically the first story mission. CO: get 5 strength (i have 39 now), introduce yourself to your class ( I have talked to everyone at every-time in every location, even out of class but still in school), Talk to Kitsune at night (she just says the same thing about working out). Update 1: I can progress now that I have given a second attempt after calming down a bit. My main issues are with 2 specific things right now. Doing anything in the school is a chore. Navigating is ok to an extent but I found out there are not clearly marked things to enter and move around to in the school not on the quick nav menu. Things I only found my swiping the mouse across the screen repeatedly to scan. (FIX: add every location to the quick nav menu). My main issue is still knowing what to do. The "Story" section in my eyes at this moment should not exist. it holds no useful information and can just be a portrait of the playable character in the "Quest" menu instead of its own separate menu. Everything useful is in the quests area. This is where it becomes a tiny rant. Issues: 1. Clicking through multiple UIs just to see what I have to do next for a person is highly annoying. 2. There is no clear navigation in the quest menus. You select a character and by what I see there is nothing indicating what happens when you click anywhere. First time I ended up closing the game to get out of the menu due to only swapping between characters, which had no indication but you can still click the invisible portraits of the other characters in the background. Then I just randomly clicked top left by the day and it took me back. 3. There are too many characters to be having this convoluted of a quest log checking system. FIX: 1. take it out of the menu and make it an interact-able like the map or time skip. Speaking of time skip, while you there please add a way to skip whole days since everything only happens on the weekends. Clicking skip time repeatedly just to go to sleep to do it all many more times in a row is annoying as well. Just make the bed always interact-able and have sleep always available as an option. 2. clearly place an X or a close button to people know where to click to leave. 3. If not all quests are made visible from the one screen just add arrows to navigate to next or previous character to see/check for quest updates.

I love the writing, and the very diverse cast combines with that to make this an easy five stars from me. Still definitely in the early stages, and I hope the supernatural stuff ends up meshing well with the more mundane school life and people well. The cast definitely seems plenty large as it is- I hope the dev prioritizes more stuff for the current characters over adding too many new ones.

So far, it’s one of the best VNs I’ve played! It is kind of short right now, so I recommend waiting for a few more updates. The story is so good that it left me hanging, and I’m eagerly waiting for more as soon as possible. I genuinely felt sad after realizing I reached the end of the current main story. All the love interests are amazing, from their models to their writing! I definitely recommend this one if you like harem VNs with a little bit of an edgy story!

After Dark, an incredible VN with a great story, awesome characters with their own personality and their own little quirks and backstorys. Even tho there is a bri*ish character and the story so far is pretty short, I still had a lot of fun reading the story while sometimes cringing and chuckeling. The start can be a bit long for the ones who want a quick fap, but I highly recommend playing and reading through the story and the dialogue. (Disclaimer: i cant say anthing about music/sound cause i play all NSFW games without sound and i am sorry for any misspellings, english isnt my first language)

Has a good start and the designs are great. An early start of something that can eventually be really good if they put the time and effort into it. Definitely not as polished as other games yet and that's ok for now, but would really like a way to track characters affection or quests, and as of right now, at least to my knowledge, there are no sex scenes, but like I said, no way to know if I missed it without a quest system in place. Still, I will keep this on my radar and look forward to the following releases.

I like the introduction so far, and I like the models in this game. I am looking forward to seeing more of the characters and story develop with future updates. I hope when the game eventually gives you choices they will matter. This game has potential and would benefit a lot from having a quest tracker.

I love the concept and the initial setup of the game, but I'm not a fan of a few of the character models. I understand the developer's attempt to create unique characters, but some models feel a bit off(So the 4 stars instead of one). It's still early in development, but I have high hopes for this game. Good luck, Dev!"
