Kingsguard is a Ren'Py adult game by Hiddenwall, set on Torvair, an island split among three nations. You play a sheltered young prince in Havena whose castle confinement by his distant father ends when his life is threatened. Escorted by the Kingsguard, the royal bodyguards, he must leave the city and cross a world he only knows from books. The tone is grim and desperate rather than heroic, with 2D animated art and furry and gay themes.
The current ongoing build is v1.06, dated July 28, 2023, for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English and uncensored. Hiddenwall notes the build came sooner than planned. It adds new clothing options for Leandros and Ramos, refreshes Rolland's sprite, and includes fresh CGs for Leandros, Koshiro, and Ramos, which can be seen in Rose's Cathedral. Because later chapter saves may not transfer cleanly, players might need to restart if errors appear.
