Life's Gate is a Ren'Py adventure by Andolt, presented with 3DCG visuals and a male protagonist. You play a young man whose ordinary routine breaks apart when he senses danger before others can see it, a gift tied to life, death, and the people around him. As his loved ones become involved, he must investigate a mystery involving Writers, Painters, Origins, and gates between existence and what lies beyond, balancing romance and humor while deciding how much he will sacrifice.
The current build is v0.3, released September 5, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android. English, Chinese, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Turkish are supported. There is no censorship. The v0.3 update adds over 1,400 renders, roughly 14,000 words, about an hour in a single playthrough, and 20 to 30 minutes more for the alternate route. It also includes three adult scenes, 21 video animation clips, 30 animated sequences, 20 music pieces, more than 40 sound effects, and over 8,000 lines of code.

Life’s Gate follows a young man whose normal life begins to fracture when he discovers a strange power connected to life, death, and the people closest to him. What begins as a cold warning in his chest soon becomes something he can no longer dismiss, a sign that something is wrong before anyone else can see it. At first, he tries to explain it away. Once the people he loves are caught in the middle of it, ignoring the truth is no longer an option. Spoiler But power never comes for free. Every choice leaves a mark. Every answer raises new questions. And as pieces of a buried truth begin to surface, he is drawn into a mystery involving Writers, Painters, the Origins, and the Gates between Life... Death... and what waits beyond them. To protect the people he loves, he must uncover the truth behind his power and decide how much of himself he is willing to sacrifice before there is nothing left to give.
