Little Loki & the Yggdrasil Maze

the 4 stars are almost exclusively for the art as sugar*plum's work is god tier. The game however is okish I generally don't play dungeon crawlers but Little Loki feels wanting compared to it's contemporaries on this site. It doesn't really help that the game is extremely formulaic. Formula: go to the new dungeon, open blue chest, meet girl of the week, get raped by the girl of the week because you'll inevitably get stun locked after a few turns, get robbed, go home because you need to get your clothes back and you probably lost your semen bottle because you were having fun and forgot the game's formulaic nature, get stink eyed by disillusioned wolf girl maid gf for wasting your semen in the orifices of monster girls instead of wasting it to magically develop an entire nation off of Loki's semen power, return to the dungeon to get your clothes back, collect things in the dungeon all while avoiding the woman of the week since she is the dungeon's only enemy and losing to her gets you robbed of your clothes and bottle of semen you collected from masturbating in a corner, get raped by the church, get raped by the in-game church, get the new skill to avoid the inevitable stun lock, the boss is now waiting you in the final floor of that dungeon, physically destroy the girl (she's gone from the floor altogether now), wash rinse repeat until you've reached the end or become bored. There are mixups like how you get imprisoned in one of the game's final dungeons requiring you to play detective and play puzzles of memory and back and forth, but again this doesn't really happen until the last few dungeons. I'd really give it at most 3 stars if the art wasn't amazing and the fact that it's the most gameplay I've ever gotten from sugar*plum and it's leagues more interesting than their usual rpg maker games where you're just playing an interactive visual novel that really should have been some sort of doujin rather than waste all this effort for so little content.

Gameplay: Dungeon crawler exploration with turn based combat. Battles require you to unlock and equip a specific skill to win. If you don't you'll receive a combo attack from the enemy forcing you into a defeat scene. It's a bit disappointing since it's wrapped up in a UI that makes you think it's a battle fuck RPG but the actual battle game play is far more shallow. Exploring the map feels somewhat odd as your character shifts oddly about if you don't come to a complete stop before your next directional input. Text is sometimes inexplicably laggy. H Content: Static CGs with enhanced with some slight movement of the CG, emphasis lines, and syncing with appropriate sound effects. You'll get a few different CGs in the enemy's default "combo defeat scene" which is really nice and makes up for the lack of animation. A few of the CGs were drawn with a strange perspective that obscures most of the action or are just a dick floating in space because they couldn't figure out how to incorporate MC's body into the CG. Those are very odd. The rest are great. You get lots of flavor text during battles and the h scenes which really elevate the CGs. There's a big emphasis on masochism, humiliation, and SPH throughout most of the scenes and it's written pretty well. Full scene viewer unlocked after defeating Odin. Translation: Seems like cleaned up MTL. H-Scene translations are generally really good. Translations outside of non H content is acceptable. Only a handful of weirdly translated things Conclusion: Good but not great scenes wrapped up in an average game
