Neon Vault is an adult hacking tycoon game by Melody Cat, built in Ren'Py. Instead of following a conventional visual novel structure, it centers on resource management and collection. You play as someone assembling and improving a computer setup to decrypt private data from a network. You begin with only a basic USB stick and limited energy. You buy datacores, manage storage, and improve components. Progress unlocks fragments, portions of private files that feature characters tied to adult themes such as BDSM, cheating, and exhibitionism. The game presents a computer simulation with images and videos.
The current build is v0.1.0, an initial release dated February 1, 2026. It is available for Windows and Linux in English and Spanish, and it is uncensored. This release includes 18 datacores of varying rarity, 380 shards, five albums, and an unlocked office theme. It includes simulated desktop hardware, a file browser, secret and component shops, creation features, a bank, and configuration options. Gameplay systems cover the economy, buying datacores, unlocking shards, managing files, upgrading components, and viewing albums in gallery mode.
