Nightmares of the Moon is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by Valkyn Creations, using 3DCG and animated scenes. It blends story choices, RPG-style stats, and free-roam play. You are Luna, a young woman with lost memories who studies journalism at the University of Sitria in the City of Dreams. As she builds friendships and makes moral choices, the city reveals a darker side tied to paranormal and corrupting forces.
Development is ongoing with v0.1.0, released September 1, 2026. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, uncensored. The update adds about two hours of content, including the full prologue, sandbox play after it, and 130 video files with three cinematic cutscenes and more than 25 animated adult scenes. It also introduces a random metro mini-game, a spa cleaner job with disrespectful clients, and a pizzeria job where you make pizzas while avoiding failed shifts.

You follow Luna , a young woman who arrives in Sitria — the so-called " City of Dreams" — hoping to rebuild her life after the unexplained loss of most of her memories. Enrolled in the University of Sitria as a journalism student, she is drawn into a web of relationships, secrets, and buried truths. As Luna navigates friendships, rivalries, and moral choices, the city slowly reveals its darker nature.
