A NSFW Yaoi/Bara Visual Novel with Four Love interests!
Samurai Asano was betrayed by his daimyo master, the warlord Sakuna, when they invaded his homeland. His ancestral onsen was taken from him and given Sakunaâs daughter, Mina, who uses it to help her father raise funds. Asano vows to get revenge by ruining the onsen.
When Mina takes over the onsen, she unwittingly releases four oni who were trapped in an ancient sagemono. The grateful oni will protect Mina and thwart Asano, who ends up becoming a target for their pent-up lust.
According to legend, the only way an oni can fully exit the onsen is by getting a member of the original family to fall in love with him. The oni take the word âloveâ on the ancient scroll to mean something more physical…
This was one of Y Press Games better visual novels. The characters have interesting personalities, and look really hot. The sex scenes were good if nothing exceptional. The pairing were all vers, and there was one threesome scene. But no throuple route, the pairings were all monogamous apart from that one threesome. But what actually impressed me the most was the non-sexual stuff. I appreciated the subplot with the one female character getting wooed by one of the oni you didn't choose. And it was a different one on each of the four routes, meaning you saw all four oni romancing her. That was sweet. I also liked that yet another of the unchosen oni would have a separate side plot as well usually involving the evil antagonist. Meaning in a playthrough you'd romance one of the oni, one oni would go after the female character, and one had his side-plot. So three of the four oni always had something to do, and the fourth played a smaller role but still appeared in the story frequently enough. In other VNs, unchosen possible partners sometimes mostly or wholly disappear. But the cast was quite tight. I also like the shared backstory between three of the oni. Overall, I think this game stands well on his own without the sex even. But the sex is still hot. But it's not a total fuckfest, appropriate for a romance visual novel. Overall, I really liked this, and I hope Y Press Games next game is as good as Oni Onsen.
