About Oni Onsen
Oni Onsen is a Ren'Py NSFW yaoi/bara visual novel by Y Press Games, built around romance, dating sim, and monster themes, with four love interests. You play as Asano, a samurai whose daimyo master, warlord Sakuna, betrayed him after invading his homeland. His family's hot spring is taken and given to Sakuna's daughter, Mina, who uses it to raise funds for her father. Asano vows to ruin the onsen, but when Mina opens an ancient sagemono, four trapped oni are released. They protect Mina, oppose Asano, and pursue him as a romantic and physical target. According to legend, an oni can leave the onsen only if someone from the original family falls in love with him, though the oni read the old scroll's wording as something more carnal. The art is 2D CG, and the game includes full voice acting.
The current build is v1.2.1, released on August 27, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux in English, with no censorship.
Developer's description
NOW WITH FULL VOICE ACTING! A NSFW Yaoi/Bara Visual Novel with Four Love interests! Samurai Asano was betrayed by his daimyo master, the warlord Sakuna, when they invaded his homeland. His ancestral onsen was taken from him and given Sakunaâs daughter, Mina, who uses it to help her father raise funds. Asano vows to get revenge by ruining the onsen. When Mina takes over the onsen, she unwittingly releases four oni who were trapped in an ancient sagemono. The grateful oni will protect Mina and thwart Asano, who ends up becoming a target for their pent-up lust. According to legend, the only way an oni can fully exit the onsen is by getting a member of the original family to fall in love with him. The oni take the word âloveâ on the ancient scroll to mean something more physical…
