let me preface this that this is kind of a biased review. I'm scoring it way higher than it deserves. gameplay is very jank. once you got your "special move" just spam it and you'll breeze through so many encounters. the only downside is you can't skip the animation, eating so much time. heroines are... pretty meh. very typical and not much going on for them. out of the 8 heroines I only find 2 of them to be somewhat interesting. I haven't reached any interesting character arc just because of so much gameplay jank. I've only mentioned so many downsides so why I'm giving it a high score? one answer: TIGER JOE! every time he shows up the screen you just know it's filled with MANLINESS and testosterone and all that hormones. honestly I could turn gay for this guy. aside that, whenever he and his bgm plays out, it almost like it speaks to me on a personal level. he's somehow able to combat my deep seated depression. there's no way he'll win over my depression because at the end of the day, he can't fill the very thing that causes my depression in the first place. nice try though. he shines a small candle of hope in an otherwise hopeless post-covid economy and the ever continuing inflation. but hey, maybe you can be the next TIGER JOE. I know I won't.
