About Pookie's Otherworld Tavern

Pookie's Otherworld Tavern is a Ren'Py demo by Pookie, released October 19, 2026 for Windows and Linux in English. It uses animated 2D art and presents an adventure with fantasy and management elements. You play Pookie, a modern woman pulled into a harsh fantasy town with only her clothes. She takes over a run-down tavern and must earn gold to buy a way home. Serving customers alone is not enough, so she turns the place into a busy nightlife spot while dealing with adventurers, nobles, and other dangerous patrons. The player decides whether she runs the business honestly or uses charm, persuasion, and questionable choices to survive.

The current build is a demo. The version is Demo, dated October 19, 2026, and the changelog records the initial release. It is uncensored and available in English on Windows and Linux. The latest update is the first public demo, presenting the tavern setup and early choices.

Developer's description

You play as Pookie, a modern girl suddenly transported to a gritty fantasy world with nothing but the clothes on her back. Desperate to return home, she takes over a run-down tavern in the town center, realizing that in this world, gold is the only language people speak and she needs a lot of it to buy her way out. Spoiler Story One moment, Pookie was living a normal life; the next, she woke up in a medieval town square. Without magic or a sword, her only weapon is her charm and business sense. She secures a job at a failing inn, but serving ale to peasants won't earn the fortune required to open a portal home. To survive, Pookie must transform the tavern into the town's hottest spot. But the nightlife is dangerous. From humble adventurers to corrupt nobles, everyone wants something from the new barmaid. You must decide how Pookie plays the game. Will she run an honest business, or will she use her allure to manipulate patrons, extract secrets, and do whatever it takes to survive?
