About Reanimated Heart

Double Dead Studio's Reanimated Heart is a Ren'Py visual novel that blends horror and romance in a 2D CG art style. You play a customizable protagonist trying to start a new life in a strange small town and a sunless dimension where supernatural beings roam freely. The story centers on three mysterious love interests, each with a separate route and secrets, and their perspectives gradually connect to a larger plot.

The current build is a demo at v0.3.9, released on August 1, 2026 for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English without censorship. Development remains ongoing, with planned chapters, endings, and a gallery. The listed demo content includes a prologue and unfinished Chapter 1, customizable name, appearance, pronouns, and biological sex, dynamic conversations, original art and music, a journal and inventory, player choices, partial voice acting, and three jobs: delivering pot to quirky townsfolk, serving drinks at a punk bar, or apprenticing to a forest witch.

Reanimated Heart is a character-driven horror romance visual novel about finding love in a mysterious small town. In a unique setting inspired by pulp horror, the player has to figure out how to build a life from scratch in a strange dimension where the sun never rises and supernatural creatures live freely. There are three mysterious love interests with their own distinct storylines and secrets to uncover, each of their routes contributing their own perspective to the wider story.
