great start, game is tough but winnable. art is good and there is a core gameplay loop, though could use more horny bits early on. I would love to see more difficulty ratings for those who just want to goon. good luck dev
an exceptionally interesting concept for how to do a roguelike deckbuilder that is plagued with an extremely high amount of RNG without much to compensate for it this game's system for doing costs for cards is genuinely VERY fascinating, being something i haven't seen much of before; it reminds me a little bit of Slice & Dice, but not too much. when i first managed to trigger one of my techniques multiple times in a turn because it had a die requirement of only 2, that was a great moment of discovery--it made me view certain costs in very different ways, which is a hallmark of a fantastic roguelike deckbuilder ...but, unfortunately, my praise has to end there. the starting deck is ATROCIOUSLY bad. enemies have very low health, but from what i can tell, the "easy pool" for regular fights is just the very first fight--after that point, you can immediately fight stronger enemies, despite the fact that your deck's super low damage (but admittedly relatively strong block) means that you need to spend a long time in every single fight. from what i can tell, almost no enemies have actual AI to their attacks, just choosing options randomly, with a few exceptions (i believe the boss + the elites have patterns, but i could be wrong on that). this means that sometimes the enemies don't do very much at all, while other times they will just nuke you by spamming very large attacks the most frustrating part of this game is also its selling point: the unique cost system. seeing a technique that sounds great for your deck sucks when its cost means that, if you get it off, you will both need to get lucky, AND be unable to do anything else due to its very specific requirements something i found baffling is the fact that it seems like right now you cannot change the dice at all. maybe that's meant to be an "end of act bonus" or something like that? but as a result, it means that if a technique needs you to roll a Straight of any size, it's almost unusable--at least your decks begin with one, so that if you happen upon a Straight you can take advantage? ultimately, even at 3x speed, i found myself feeling like i was barely able to make choices in most fights, offered techniques i could barely use, in fights that took way too damn long. ALSO: while not strictly a point of derision overall, i found it exceptionally weird that there's not any scenes involving the playable female character having sex with enemies. in my opinion this game feels more like it should be female protagonist (you literally play as one of the girls--except ACTUALLY you're just Some Guy Who Is Here I Guess while the girl you picked is doing all the combat), but even if it's not, i feel like the game would be helped by some noncon scenes involving the girl like. the goblin enemy literally has an attack called Rape, but there's no CG for it or anything. wacky stuff
You need to pray a lot RNJesus for making this work. Enemies have too much health and deal too much damage, you can only hope for good reroll and even that you get squashed a lot. One example, you start with only 2 cards that deal damage, you should roll a tris that give you 4 damage and a strait (in a row, like 1-2-3-4-5, not 1-3-4-2-5) that give 5, the second enemy you meet have 34 hp. that's mean if you are lucky you can win in 4 turn, and off course the enemy become stronger every turn, that's mean at the second enemy you get around 45 damage, half of your health, and this is the best scenario. It's one of those game that is hard to the player, but it's so unbalanced against the player that become frustrating. The idea is cool, arts are... ok i guess, but it's only a problem is balancing.
