Rosario + Vampire

Has a lot of potential! I liked the idea of having both 2D and 3D scenes. From what I can see, it will be quite extensive in terms of content if they chose two formats. The story is simple but good enough to read. Someday I'd also like to see content featuring the manga characters; I think there are several with great potential. I'll wait for a few updates in the future to see how much it has improved, but I have high hopes. Keep going!!

This rating is for V0.1.0 , just in case anyone from the far future is reading this. I know nothing about Rosario + Vampire (the original IP, not this game) outside of the name. So keep that in mind. It's very possible I'll write things that have obvious answers to fans. There's a big question you're probably wondering: How much content is between the start of the game and the first H scene? Not much. It consists of the following: Spoiler: The opening of the ''Story'' MC flunks out of high school but some unseen priest sends him a letter about how he's now enrolled in some other school. There's a short scene on a bus where the driver tells the MC to watch his ass. The MC gets jumped by Moka almost immediately, and the MC says he thinks vampires are cool. The MC says he has a friend now. There's a short classroom scene where the teacher tells everyone to remain in human form or else. Moka and the MC eat lunch on the roof. Moka says she thinks the MC is amazing because he says he thinks vampires are cool. The MC admits to being a human, and Moka says she hates humans. But that doesn't matter I guess because the MC she's known for like one hour total is just way cooler than the rest of his kind. Yay. "Uh oh my cock fell out of my pants!" "Want me to help you with that?" Needless to say, fandom tourists such as myself will probably be a bit lost on WTF is going on since things move very quickly. Like, the vampire chick is already reaching into the MC's pants before the first school day is even over. This probably won't matter to people who only care about the H scenes, and fans who have all the necessary context anyway. The itch io page mentions "AI Assisted". The UI elements look real enough to me (probably), though I have a suspicion that AI was used for the 2D H scene animations. The H scenes also have the bewildering choice to have you "Keep Watching" or "Continue Scene". I don't understand the point of this choice if you can hide the message window whenever you want (with Spacebar, I think?). This is a cheap shot but the font for speaker names bugs me. Why does a K look like an H? And speaking of speaker names, it would've been better if the Narrator remained unnamed, since the implied presence of a narrator character is a bit distracting. "After engaging in a good spot of lovemaking, you discover that you have a lot of cleanup to do! Get to it ol chap! Cheerio!" The 3D H scene is what I expected. It's a typical Koikatsu H scene with bad shaders and lighting. There are only a handful of H scenes in here (as of right now), so I would recommend holding off on paying for the gallery code. Wait until like V0.4.0 at least to see if the dev is serious about developing the game. And there's a map system, I suppose. You can't do much with it right now, aside from selecting the 3D H scene. This must be one of those "More content later" things.
