The game still has three stars and a half and that shows his large potential. The characters are good, the story is not bad and the points system is nice. I don't know why the development is that slow, but I hope the creator can finish the game someday.

Saving Paula [v0.0.33] 2/5 wasted potential I just realized my last save of this game was back in 2023, and to be honest at that time it was a solid 4/5 with huge potential especially with really nice MILF. Problem of this game is that dev made a decision to shape the FMC, which considering the slow development it is impossible to materialize. At this point just do a rewrite and move from there, and drop the body shaping idea as it will just double the number of renders for literally no real game value, you just use the premise to tone her body and that is all. But still for a game that is 5 years in the making, it makes me sad to see all the wasted potential.

The game has an excellent premise and the character is spectacular. I have a few points to comment on, but since the game is still in development, I'll wait to see how it unfolds. Regarding the NTR aspect, it's great to have the power of choice, and this helps maintain peace between the two sides of the war. Good luck with the game.

There nothing here after almost 5 years of dev. Choices dont seem to matter and it often plays out all options regardless of choice. It also looks very oudated at this point visually. Its a skip for me.

Ridiculous dialogue that makes no sense for a game thats "a slow burn". About 20 minutes of content total, with the plot having gone nowhere and no sex scenes. Not really worth playing at the moment as there is almost nothing there. I would not suggest this one.

Well, what get your attention to play this game is the milf visuals but at some point you realize that after the initial release the content added is at least "small". I might be mistaken but the first release was something like an hour playing time, even more if you take into considerations the annoying self-questions in the beginning and five years later the game is probably doubled at best. So a playing time around two hours. I don't mind the absence of sex scenes but the absence of scenes in general is a problem

That this game still has a rating over 3 is beyong me... It started out 5 years ago with a nice potential, and an ambitious promise of being able to influence the physical appearance of the main LI and corrupt here from choices made throughout the game... Fast forward 5 years later, there is no content, there have been barely 2 in game days passed and barely any interesting moments (during which Paula has had 3 different hair styles already, and the MC's sister has just managed to get a red hair dye in the last update that's supposed to be taking place immediately after the previous one)... The dialogs are a bit lame and are just a back and forth of the same camera angles of the characters faces, just cycling through different facial expressions (some of them very comical) as the conversation goes, and the writing is really not that good. And on top of that, the dev is completely delusional and acts like a prick every chance he gets... claims to be mature while accusing anyone criticising him of being envious and going at him from "behind the keyboard in their mum's basement"... And no, 2000 renders in 5 years is really nothing much, Eruption Imminent's last update had nearly 4000 renders in a year, and the writing and story are just miles ahead in comparison... Now I completely understand that making such games is no easy task, especially when you just do this as a side gig in your free time. It's time consuming, and very few devs actually manage to make significant amounts of money from this... And I'm subbing other devs that have a slow development cycle but still manage to create way more content than this guy and don't act like arrogant assholes. Sad to say but that last wave of 1 star reviews really seems justified in this case.

its very much at the early stage of development but the dialogue and characters are very much amazing the dialogue has some depth that most games dont have and actually makes me wanna read it in comparison to other games where i would just spam click, and the characters honestly give off a realistic style very impressed with the work its a amazing game cant wait to see where this game ends up.

This game has been in development for 5 years, yet there is barely any content in here. What damn shame because the concept is quite good. You take control of the MC, whose 'landlady' is at a very low point in her life. You can either go pure romance or you can go corruption route that will have NTS options. Sounds promising right, except there is nothing here. None of the routes have even started and there are no sex scenes. How you make so little progress in 5 years is beyond me.

Ya this game is going nowhere fast and people should just accept it, It's the same story with games like this, Game starts of with a ton of potential than slowly dies because of a bunch of different factors, In this games case it's the Dev and the progress/updates and how much content/images actually comes out in these updates. Paula is gorgeous (even thought in the last 2 updates the Dev has put almost to much detail into her face with wrinkles/shading aging her face 10 years IMO) and the MILF storyline is the only thing saving this game, Also this Dev has got to be one of the most delusional on this forum, Watching him crash out on people critiquing his game with "Your just a hater, You have no life and live in your moms basement, This is my game i'll write the plot how i want it and fuck your opinion on it or if you don't like the pace of the updates or how much content you get than leave" It's honestly really pathetic, Anyone that plays your game weather paying or not is entitled to voice their opinion and flame you when either bad update or slow/uninspired update gets release, Bragging about 2,028 images and 7 animations to date since you started making this game back in May of 2021 isn't the flex you think it is, For someone that claims to have 30+ years of experience in this field if a couple hundred render and an animation or two is the best you can do while in production for a year is pretty sad, Either you're not as talented as you're bragging about or even worse you spend very little time actually updating your game screwing over your paying customers, Cause 2028 images and 7 animations in 5 years is pathetic games like Shut Up And Dance and Steps Of Debauchery have regularly releases with 1700-2000 images and 20-25 animation in a 6 month cycle. quite literally surpassing your 5 year project in less than a year lmao. This game does still have potential but in all honestly it will never come to fruition because this dev either doesn't have the time or the talent to pull it off which is such a shame TBH!! P.P.S, Reading the comments of the last 12+hour of this Dev continuing to crash the hell out at every negative comment is fucking hilarious, Go ahead and continue to insult everyone bro and see how that ends up, Maybe the 1 star reviews will surpass the dozen you've already gotten lol, I'll reiterate it again i guess, If all you can muster to accomplish in a 5 day work week of 1-2 hour a day Monday-Friday (like you've stated before) is 100+renders with one or two animations after a full year or production like the last two updates it will always disappoint no matter how good the renders are, You're either lying about how much hours you're working on the project or you simple don't have the talent or speed to put out meaningful and satisfactory updates, Put the fries in the bag bro and stop embarrassing yourself by responding to comments for the last 12 hours straight when you said you have a wife and a full time job outside this project it's childish and fucking pathetic lmao!! I remember when I first played Saving Paula and posted on the forums that it seemed really promising. But now, five years later, nothing has really changed since then. There’s nothing to expect from this game because the female protagonist has spent the last five years just wandering around her house a few times. What’s worse, the dev actually replied to critical comments and labeled the critics as trolls and haters. It’s really awful.

5 years and not a single sex scene. This is a scam and people should demand Their money returned cause there's no way to justify for a project that is 5 year long still Don't have a sex scene. The dev Don't care for his fans and only milking it. People like this should be banned to make games. They Don't care for the fans.

The visuals and character design are really really stunning, the dev clearly has a talent in that area. And the main hook of Paula herself, and her trying to find a new path forward in life (and the idea of the player being able to shape that outcome) is really attractive as far as game mechanics go. The game had a lot of potential. But the problem is, the game has been in development for five years now, with barely any progress to the narrative. The story hasn’t inched past it‘s introductory scenes. The selling point of the game is about changing Paula, for good or ill, both morally and physically, but none of that is relevant in the tiny bit of game that currently exists. Choices really don’t have any power or weight to them because the narrative hasn’t moved forward enough for them to matter. On top of that, there’s a few teasing scenes, but nothing in terms of proper penetrative sex, which would be fine if the story was good enough to justify the slow burn, but again …there isn’t much of a story yet. The game updates are few and far between, and the content is usually only a few minutes of gameplay. So what are we left with? A game with next to no story to justify its slow burn, and no major sex scenes to appeal to that side of things either. It’s really not worth playing, and considering the sluggish rate of both development and the narrative, probably won’t be for several years.

This game is really hard to rate. If you want a tl;dr, then it's either a diamond still in the rough, or a tease that will never deliver. As it stands? I'd rate this game much lower than a 4 out of 5. It's been in development for a LONG time, with short, SFW updates released slowly. Judging by the new dev note, they're also not getting the financial support they need/expected (which makes me wonder about its future). That makes me genuinely sad, because it's actually very well constructed and EXACTLY the sort of beloved AVNs we used to get before the AI slop we're being deluged with. By that, I mean Saving Paula is an AVN that TRIES - it has a cohesive plot, very solid visuals, and most of all (the introduction of) consequential choices. You've got a solid MILF storyline, with fairly realistic (for porn) character development; there's jealousy (the mom and aunt), outside corruption/potential rivals (in the form of the grandma and former.... was he an agent? manager?). The school storyline with the sister. This game gets you invested because everything we've seen so far leads you to believe your choices will decide the story. Damn. I want so bad to see where this story goes, to take different routes and see what happens to different characters. The only question is whether the nursing home I'll be in by the time it's finished will allow me full internet access. Final: 8/10 (based on potential. 5/10 based on reality)

This game has been in development for almost five years . During that time, it has received roughly 12 updates , yet as of this review the total amount of actual content comes out to less than 30 minutes of “gameplay,” depending on how fast you read. Now, to be clear, I don’t support this creator’s Patreon (or whatever platform they use), but the game is hosted here and this site has a rating system so I’m simply giving my honest opinion. The story is okay . It’s not terrible, but it’s nothing special either. The MC comes across as a bit of an airhead, and Paula isn’t much better in that regard. Unfortunately, the story hasn’t progressed beyond the starting area at all. It genuinely feels like being stuck in the tutorial section of The Witcher 3 not the combat tutorial, but that initial bedroom chamber at the very beginning. The plot just doesn’t move forward in a way that keeps things interesting. Yes, we know Paula may be getting blackmailed by a former employee (or something along those lines), but as it stands, that plot point doesn’t matter yet and apparently won’t matter for several more updates. According to the developer, the story hasn’t even completed a full in-game day cycle . We are still, five years later , on Day 1 . That’s honestly baffling. The renders , however, are genuinely good. Image quality is solid, and the few animations that exist are well done. There’s really nothing to complain about visually. The female character models look great and sit comfortably in that familiar range between “pornstar MILF” and “everyday MILF you’d see in a shopping centre on a random Tuesday.” To be fair, this is clearly the game’s strongest point, and it’s the main reason people are drawn to the VN in the first place. The creator absolutely has something going for them when it comes to character design. That said, visuals alone aren’t enough to carry a project forever. As things stand now, after five years , the story simply hasn’t progressed far enough to justify anything more than a 2-star rating . When compared to other developers producing visual novels of similar visual quality, there’s no real reason to keep believing that the next update will suddenly be a big, meaningful one. At this point, you’re honestly better off looking for another developer to follow. Because right now, this VN isn’t progressing in any meaningful way and it feels less like steady development and more like dragging things out while milking supporters

If I had just discovered this AVN I would say that it has potential buuuut the last time I tried this AVN was two years ago... and the only new thing is the last two scenes, the shower scene and the last scene of the talk, that's all... Not a single sex scene has this thing, dude... this is a scam, no matter how you look at it

The only not bad thing in this game is the character models, they are not superb but not bad like everything else. And, about the bad things , oh boy, there are a lot of them. You know, sometimes pervs like me daydream when they see a hot chick, creating a quick scenario right here. You know that right? Even that kind of quick daydream scenarios make more sense than this game's writing. A complete surreal experience. For a game that in made for at least 5 years, the content is very very very little. There's not even one sex scene yet. If all you can do in 5 years is just a semi-demo I don't think no one currently alive can see the final version of it.

The only good thing this game have is the renders the rest is garbage, you dont have an story per se, the image and the games wants to tell you that there are a lot of women, a lot of hot encounters and a lot of sex, well. no this game should have negative rate like the ones on steam, the developement is being so poor and with no content in 5 years almost that doesnt matter how good the renders are if every update adds 2 minutes of pointless, teasing gameplay, this has to be in the museum of the milkers developers, watch this shit getting old really fast

Damn! This is what I was looking for! Great Writing, love the teasing, the slow build up (after a rocky start) and I love the characters. There's plot here! And its not the usual bullshit corruption power that allows the MC to fuck his aunt/mom/sister after a deal with the devil. No, this is actually good. Don't care for the drama with the developer, I just find out about this game and it rocks! Great visuals, great progression, great subplot at the acting school. What can I say? It's great. Keep going, Dev. Sure there's some consistency errors with the models and the environment but you can fix that. I'm into the story and I want more.
