Secret Dawn is an adventure RPG for adults full of intrigue, lust, and deception. Set in the near future, the player follows lovestruck rural commoners Jon and Eva as they are unwillingly led to participate in a world-famous game show called "Crucible". Their relationship will be put to the ultimate test, as they realize they have been made pawns in someone else's much larger, and more dangerous, game. Note 1 : The game will feature NTR, and this thread is not the place to voice your opinions on that genre. Note 2 : Game development includes changes to mechanics. Updates do not merely add to the story. Bugs are expected.

Mini walkthroughs (suggested):
- Jon: v0.14 end night: Zuni/key dream -> mission: Alpha 6 -> Pool -> City (follow Sophie, get money from her in cosmetics shop, explore new areas, talk to Petra, check out nightclub) -> home, talk to Eva ->
get the key from the Zuni/key dream -> check out lower dungeon -> sleep -> film Eva challenge -> sleep vision and dream -> mission: Beta 6 -> talk to Moreau (scoreboards) -> more City (back alley generator, get nightclub job)
- Eva: v0.14 end night -> do morning yoga -> mission: Alpha 6 -> City (follow Sophie, get money from her in cosmetics shop, buy makeup?, take photos with her, say goodbye to her, talk to Petra, check out nightclub) ->
home, talk to Jon -> wait until 12:00 and do Nightlife challenge (change in the WC and talk to Marion in hallway at night) then return to your room for another challenge -> sleep vision -> morning yoga again ->
new suit model -> mission: Beta 6 -> tower ceremony (go up stairs on left) -> maybe more to do in City, or check sauna
Major content changes and additions, aside from missions:
- (Maps) Made 5 new City maps: extension to Main Street and two linked stores, and Wild Times club and back rooms.
- (Maps) Made Lower Dungeon map.
- (Maps) Made a dream map for Jon.
- (Jon) Added Wild Times job and generator fixing chain. Talk with Sophie and get money from her in Cosmetics shop. Buy gloves, fix Wild Times generator in Back Alley, talk with DJ and owner.
- (Jon) Two talks with Fiona in Lower Dungeon.
- (Eva) Sophie chain in new parts of city. Cosmetics, photo posing, goodbye scene.
- (Eva) Added makeup and some associated mechanics. Possibly you might see some mismatching style and overlay combinations, for now, but it's WIP (very simple to correct/add more).
- (Eva) New suit model, Lotus, with its own power, Dash, tied to jumping.
Minor content changes and additions:
- (UI) Changed the interactable icons for improved visibility and appearance.
- (Eva) Added a small super-fan challenge on the Gardens beach (the Rest/Look interactable). Only available after having done Marion challenge and when still wearing the first camo outfit.
- Improved jump animation and code.
- New (additional) gym outfits, with sprites/busts.
- New sprites for Zuni matching her normal look, and improved all her other sprites.
- New busts for Bridget with a new look for bikini.
- New sprites and busts for Jon and Chang for swimwear.
- Added detection mechanic with visuals indicating exposed areas. Detection is based on sight and sound range. Only used in Lower Dungeon so far.
- Added hacking timed input mechanic. Only used in Lower Dungeon so far.
- Added A6 observations to Observation Chamber.
- Added pistol and gun firing, as well as new bomb and laser mechanics.
- Improved some interactables, like the gym lockers.
- Improved the look of several maps, city maps most of all.
- (Jon) Added a Dash practice module, a Sense entry obtained following B6. Wrote lots of code for the Link related to this.
- (Jon) Added a Dash challenger in the new city area. He rewards you up to three times, for now.
- Added collections of inspectables, i.e. photo albums. So far only implemented for the Dash challenger rewards, but might make other things grouped in the same way. Might also change its UI; as of now it's just a series of images.
- Improved Jon's bust images for better silhouette against bright colors.
- Improved Reflector interactions a little (Link button when having Reflector equipped). Indicates what partner is doing. Also added code for remote style based on expected style where partner is at (e.g. Eva in gym clothes rather than underwear if at gym).
- Added Hold animation for Jon.
- The map in the room now shows estimated position of the other contestants. It's based on regular schedules, but might be updated to include special events.
- Added Music Tracker neural chip (bought in tech store) which installs a Sense entry.
- Improved the text message window background grid pattern, fixing graphical tiling issue.
- Improved the look of warped / distorted effects.
- Added sauna use scene. In a basic form for now, will refine and evolve.
Major bugfixes and mechanics improvements:
- Made a new, stronger and easier interactive event authoring method, and overhauled the interaction code in general.
- Reworked live-cutscene saving. Should now properly restore game state on load, including image/video. Saving while presented with choices should now also work. Certain edge case issues may still occur.
- Made a fully dynamic visual overlay system to change character sprites, face UI, and bust images, e.g. for adding equipment or accessories. Visuals are easy to add, but they're mostly WIP so far. Examples in-game: holding item when aiming, makeup, blush (face, bust, character), mask.
- Improved story route code and tracking state/memory, including a better way to track player choices. Future updates may see color-coding of some choices.
- Made a Focus Window above the face menu. It can be toggled by clicking a field on a Sense data entry (e.g. Core Scoreboards data fields such as the clock, or the Suit telemetry). Shows the data live without having to open the Link.
- Fixed issue causing a 1-3 frame visual hiccup when fading in one render on top of another (slower systems especially).
- Downscaled several map layer graphics (island, dungeon, city) in a way that preserves visuals. Benefits memory and load times.
Minor bugfixes and mechanics improvements:
- Using Link while Reflector is equipped starts a video call instead. This interfered with cutscenes that involve opening Link, which has now been fixed.
- Memories: Fixed bug that special-effects images could be set as menu backgrounds (despite not having [Shift] help text).
- Added nested choice handling to the centralized special dialogue parser.
- Fixed minor scaling issues with videos since last update.
- Link: Added ability to reorder entries.
- Link: Added ability to move the Link window around. Press the header area and drag.
- Link: Now stays on the Link window after editing an entry text.
- Island map: Redid how it handles elevation and atmospheric audio. The new approach should have better performance.
- Dungeon map: Fixed some issues with the Jon's catching-Eva-in-pool event that had accumulated due to mechanics changes over time.
- Back alley Nightlife event, fixed crowd disappearing on mid-scene save loading.
- Made mouse triggering (e.g. on Jon's missions or generator maps) not run when using the mouse to close dialogue message.
- Fixed issues with generators getting locked up in some cases.
- Improved how generator grid cells and Jon's Alpha-mission corner cells work under the hood, allows for more types of setups and mechanics.
- Improved look of savefile comments in the saves list.
- Fixed a bug sometimes causing proximity messages to unintentionally disappear.
- Made saving stay on the save scene rather than jump back to the menu. This makes it easier to add a comment to the savefile. Similarly, made editing a Link entry stay with that entry open.
- Started work on a "website" scene, which is technically in game but not in the story yet. Planned to tie into Link buzz and spotlights.
- Made eating a little quicker, and made it show actual Hunger stat after.
- Fixed the Reflector bust-background glitchiness between messages.
- Changed how run and action animations work, hooking them onto regular character updates rather than custom timing, which should be less error-prone.
- Link links which don't link to existing Link entry now fail more gracefully and don't jump pages. Link links which link to links now link well.
- Many other minor changes and fixes to Link in general.
- Made fast-forwarding speed and endpoint persist on saves, which prevents a class of bad bugs.
- Prevented autosaving upon loading a save from the title screen. Now the autosave is the latest save or map transfer, regardless of what was loaded last.
- Made a priority hierarchy for interaction overlays (the icons that pop up when you get close). Act (various verbs) -> Talk -> Look, then their faded variants, then directional arrows.

- Implemented a "Moving Bust Images" option which simulates moving/breathing bust images. It's experimental and off by default, so try it out via Options.
- Memories: Can set selected render as the menu's background image with Shift. Pressing Shift again, with the same render selected, disables background image.
- Made many changes across different parts of the game, such as changing how visuals fade to make them sync better with fast forwarding, improving the wait command, and a lot more.
Minor bugfixes and mechanics improvements:
- Sprint: Redesigned it (sprinting now lasts a short duration after 'f' is pressed, doesn't need holding) and tuned the effect.
- UI: Fixed bug causing mid-convo save icon to hang around after text was shown.

v0.1
Prologue
Initial release
[v.016] First - game has male and female protagonist option, I can imagine it's going to be different as male, but I'm playing only female variant. It's a great game, but has it's problems. First, I'm going to come from version 0.16 instead of 0.17, because there are some game breaking bugs added. Next the graphics is nice, considering what it is, tho there is space for improvement. The game is not for when you just want a quick rub, rather story based with steady corruption. Game mechanics are good enough. It's quite nice game, but rather long, lot of text... so only for those with lot of time.
If I had to describe this game with one word, it would be: fascinating! It’s been quite a long time since an 18+ game interested me this much. The plot, the main characters, and the fact that you can experience both his and her POV are all great. The only small downside for now is that the secondary characters haven’t had much space in the story yet, but considering that the game is still in development, it doesn’t worry me. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good story and some great scenes.
two hours in and like 1 meh scene.... when jon and eve has sex for the first time... if you play as jon you miss all the scenes with eve... 5 hours in... Jon get almost zero scens and you need to play as Eve to see anything worth while... If anyone read this and are thinking about playing this game, play as Eve, Jon knows nothing and we as a player see nothing what happens with her... I want to play as a guy who is getting cucked, me as a player do NOT want to be cucked out of all scenes the game has. Combine that with endless minigames that if it even works takes hours to do.... And ground breaking bugs everywhere... the renders and animations are awesome but save yourself time and just download the CG pack instead of even trying to play this mess of a game... I hate this game with a passion of a the sun!
Really love the worldbuilding. The premise is fantastic for NTR (especially hidden-NTR) and the corruption is kinda creative. I also would like the minigames. They are kind of opaque at points but interesting. Sadly they are sometimes bugged. Content wise its a slow build up and it will still have to take some time till it have some more elaborate porn scenes. Interesting game. Hope there will be lots of quality content in the future. I really recommend the game if you like good NTR and an interesting Worldbuilding with some decent gameplay mechanics.
I've decided I'm only going to give 5 star reviews when a game is truly deserving. This is a game that is. People say it is a slow burn, but in reality its a full on masterpiece in drama at least when played from the male protagonist's point of view. It contains pornographic elements which as a gooner I've been hanging onto, however its the story that has me coming back for more and that's why this game deserves five stars.
Game is great. Not only because it's uniquely designed but because it's a clear vision in a vibrant believable world. As always, it's a good game that could replace the sex with a murder mystery and it'd be good. It's slow, at least the first few hours and it's painful to play sometimes, it'd be nice to have stuff like shortcuts, or to be guided a bit better so you don't spend a week doing the same thing everyday for nothing. But those are flaws that should be expected in solo dev game and considering the work that has gone inside it, it deserves all the praises it can get.
This game, when I first saw it, was really good. I loved it because the female MC is super hot and pretty, and she acts kinda innocent — everything was great at the start. Then the game started to become too tedious and grindy. Even Dark Souls was easier for me, because at least in Dark Souls you know what to do next. In this game, it happened to me too many times that I didn’t know what to do next. The Z-guide button info was so poor and didn’t help much. I even joined the Discord to find any guide or help — stinky Discord server, the dev couldn’t care less. And let’s not forget about the low amount of adult scenes in a 2-year-old game. Oh yeah, and I remember reading a lot of reviews about bugs, so the game sucks
I love how slow the corruption grows and also love all the secondary content. The characters are amazing and the story intriguing. Even if I cannot complain, I would love more secondary content between missions and story scene
My review of Secret Dawn [ v0.16 ]: IMPORTANT: Let me preface this rating by saying that this game does not deserve a single 5-star review simply on the basis of being riddled with bugs that at best , prevent you from seeing events, and at worst , stop you from progressing the story. Now, onto the details: The graphics are great , and the art style is "realistic" enough to where it does stand out among most other RPGM games. The FMC is especially sexy ( a platinum blonde with radiant blue eyes? Too easy ), and the rest of the female cast is similarly attractive. The MMC is once again a pencil-dick wielder , which was an unnecessary handicap considering the story in hindsight. The story is intriguing , clearly inspired by Hunger Games, Divergent, and all the other YA fantasy/sci-fi novels. It makes me want to know more, though the pacing of the story is... uneven . The mini-games are a vital aspect of storytelling here, and you will have to engage with them to progress. They start off frustrating , but not impossible - and get easier as you continue through the story ( developer listened to feedback ). The narrative is told from two differing POVs - the MMC's ( Jon, boyfriend ) and the FMC's ( Eva, girlfriend ), and each offers a unique experience of going through the story. Choosing to play as Jon means you want to play the "Mystery" POV, though the mystery part mainly refers to not knowing the exact details of what his girlfriend is doing half the time. Choosing to play as Eva means you want to play the "Omniscient" POV, seeing more "lewd" events from the eyes of the person being corrupted the most. Unlike most other "Mystery" vs "Omniscient" POV choices, here each character's playthrough is locked to them - there is no way to see both sides of the story simultaneously , for better or worse ( that means you have to effectively play the game twice , like Nier Automata, to get the full picture of what transpired ). There are a decent number of choices to be made as either, but it is really difficult to say which choice will lead you down the path you might want or expect. Unfortunately, that's all the "good" I have to say about the project: The minigames are often scored ( Jon's POV ), letting you earn additional "lewd" renders if you can achieve a high score; however, these are frankly pitiful rewards , since you do get only a few renders of girls in revealing underwear or erotic poses - no nudes or animations . The map is filled with "sidequests" and secrets to uncover whenever your character is allowed to freeroam; but even those paying attention to dialogue will find themselves wandering around the large maps in search of something to collect or interact with - and when you do, it requires that you trigger some prior event or offers the vaguest of vague hints as to how to proceed. There is no in-game journal to remember where anything was, or how to explore it. To add insult to insury, most of these events can be missed , so good luck trying to figure out the proper order of things if you fancy yourself a completionist . The emphasis of the corruption is on the gradual "fall" of the FMC (Eva) to the influences of other contestants - male or female; as of 0.16, she has only given one handjob and given 75% of a blowjob . Which would be more than fine... if the developer didn't intentionally obfuscate the player from seeing all the mischievous fun the other female contestants were up to in the mean time: have fun watching pixellated, blurred, or half-covered animations/renders of some random girls doing lewd stuff - which makes up well over 70% of the current "lewd" offerings . At this point, it genuinely feels like the dev intentionally refuses to add the adult part of their adult game . With every update, more and more half-baked sidequests are added at the expense of crawling through the main story at a snail's pace: "repeatable" activities perpetually stuck in the same point as the day they were introduced ( go exactly the same way, regardless of how many times the player interacts with it ), defeating their entire purpose to begin with. A cluttered inventory that is filled with mostly-useless items, among which are keys to unlocking your room - which randomly require to be unlocked , and other times you can open them normally ( annoying ). Speaking of doors... you will open/close so many doors , it borders on insanity. Instead of them closing automatically behind a player, you have to manually open close doors/curtains whenever you wish to change outfits. Which happens often . Secret Dawn fits the definition of an unpolished gem to a tee - I have no doubt it will be a great experience to play through once the project is done. However, more often than not, choosing to support this developer feels like paying for their programming courses instead of speeding up development of this game; their seeming hyperfocus on adding more & more game elements instead of expanding the adult content does not inspire confidence in this game getting a satisfying ending. Never mind that the developer has abandoned their own Discord server, actively refusing to talk to his own fans that might have questions - no official walkthrough, no guides, no replies. Patreon is in no better condition either . All in all, Secret Dawn is a 3 /5 Adult Game at its best, and I am given little reason to believe it will ever manage to climb above it.
Tl;dr: The game is ruined by mini-games that are tedious, buggy and freezes, unplayable. Offer a skip mini-game button. Could be a really good game but the mini-games breaks everything for me. I think the first mini-games were fine or whatnot but, they just became increasingly more tedious, and once I finally finished this tedious mini-game, not hard but annoying. It froze on me, and I had just completed it. I had to do it all over again, but I didn't, I quit, why this is a one star review. I can't recommend broken things. Feel free to report this review as invalid/inaccurate when there is an option to skip all mini-games. As this review would then be inaccurate. I am not going to keep track on it.
Hello everyone! Honestly, I am thrilled by the unfolding of events in the game. The mini-games are cool, but sometimes a bit difficult. I wish there was a way to skip them! As for the main characters, especially the heroine, I really, really like her. I would like to see someone else in her contacts, not just the big black guy. The gameplay is pretty good, thanks to everyone! Oh, and I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s one of the few games that excites!!!
I love the story line, and although the Male MC looks 5, there's some great art. With that said, i hate the mini games with a passion. Because of moving tiles i was just constantly shocked at the same level to the point where i had to leave the game. I'm here to not think, but jerk off, i should not to have a struggle to get to the next scene.
I couldn't make it more than a half hour into this game. The minigames you have to do for the game might be the single most horrendous thing I've ever seen in a porn game. They're unreasonably difficult and supremely glitchy. I got soft-locked twice in the first game because I got the bow, equipped it, and then it just would not come out to let me shoot down the drones. It's a shame cuz what I saw of the animations looked decent but I am not willing to spend 30 minutes bashing my head against a wall just to get one or two scenes.
It's genuinely a terrible game. The positive reviews make 0 sense to me (meaning: I don't trust them.) The gameplay is basically just random minigames, but all of them take way too long and are just straight up busywork. They also tend to softlock the entire game a lot, meaning you might have to start them over and pray you've saved beforehand. The minigames always have several stages, where you repeat the same basic thing over and over again, for no tangible reward. Sometimes you have to do this several times on a given ingame day. Imagine a random block breaking game with *7 STAGES*. Other than that, the game has no real instructions on what it wants you to do or how its mechanics work. Things like "I just found a murder victim's shovel, maybe there is a place I can use it" -> meaning you have to find a random digging spot somewhere on the overly large map. Another time, a minigame suddenly requires you to input the heroines last name. I'm, really glad I remembered it, because the the only other option would've been to ALT+F4 the game and reload a previous save. What did this add to the game? Literally nothing. Same applies to all of the minigames: they add nothing, are tedious are not well thought out, lacking information or all of the above. When the game tells you you can either rest or explore, it means you can randomly walk through the entire map with no indication of whether there is actually something to find, or - if so - where to look. The dialog is badly written and usually consists mostly of filler, the main character looks like a creepy alien and EVERYTHING.TAKES.FOREVER. The movement speed during some of the minigames and other sequences is glacial, everything has slow transitions, text skipping is not a thing and the game just does everything it can to be as annoying as possible. The game is basically a linear visual novel with the illusion of choice as far as I can tell. There is always exactly one thing you're supposed to do, but the game has you guess what it is. You can press enter and have the main character give you a description of the objective, but the descriptions are often vague or nonsensical (eg. "Some character is missing, find out where she is" -> meaning: try literally every door on the map until you're lucky.) The animation usually consists of the camera violently and headache-inducingly zooming in and out for some reason. I recommend reading a book instead. There, at least, you tend to get decent writing quality. This is like the experience of reading a terrible book, but interspersed by having to play through weird minigames in order to be allowed to read on.
I jst loved this game puzzle :- 8/10 visuals :- 7/10 storyline :- 7/10 sex scenes :- 6/10 (it kept me on suspense every scene, eventually I was more hoping for Eve scene and NTR scenes are well planed bt pitty late) Overall I love this game I wish I could support you In our country payment on patrieon or any other site is much breeze Bt I'm looking forward for end of this game
I value a game for the power it has to involve me into playing it and keep me enternained. Even when it does has bugs, the plot of this story and the hard work the dev put in all makes it almost a masterpiece. I may put this game next to Nebel Geisterjager when it's concluded. I am also making games and can't help but imagine how much work the dev has put into this one.
For me, the game deserves a 4.5, so I'm giving it a 5. The graphic style is very nice, with high-quality renders. The overall system is very well designed and original, especially with the challenges. Compared to many RPGM games that just have a level/skill/stuff system, here we get truly original gameplay. Maybe it's just a shame that the difficulty is sometimes a little too high, and there’s also a bit of frustration: when you play as Jon, Eva acts really dumb and rushes into enemies, and when you play as Eva, Jon doesn't provide any useful support. It's also unfortunate that there are a few bugs during some minigames, like RPGM "file not found" errors. For now, there are very few H scenes. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops in the future.
Secret dawn is definitely the outlier in the ntr genre. Beautiful FMC. Unique story. Better PoV system (both male and female). Though this game is not above the usual NTR tropes (tiny dick MC, black bull etc) but what stands out is the treatment with which each character and their story is fleshed out. Yes, the puzzles r tough but then again it helps in getting yourself engrossed in the gameplay. For anyone who wants to enjoy a story driven, well drawn characters with NTR should definitely give this game a try. ( also I personally tried Male PoV first and then Female PoV but it’s better if you do otherwise).
Currently still playing through the game, but thoroughly enjoying playing a slow burn NTR game for once. The renders are great though the gameplay can be slightly frustrating with that being said I respect the fact that they are trying out new mechanics I haven't seen before
Probably the most interesting and compelling story i've seen in a game, much less an h game. You almost can't go wrong with a sexy version of the hunger games... with a gameshow to the death and all the nuances that can surround that.
