Secrets in Focus is a visual novel that incorporates a lot of humor with romance, while an overarching mystery hits close to home. You play as the male MC, living together with Ember - a beautiful, fiery redhead roommate (or sister when using the patch) who inherited enough money to spend her days as a 'fashion influencer'. But all the money in the world can't protect her from the drama that comes to light. Mara , a model connected to the model agency where you start working as a systems engineer, has disappeared and the story seems to be deeply entangled with Ember's family. Spoiler The game will have several different branches and endings, depending on your choices along the way. Some endings are romantic, others bittersweet, and a few may leave you emotionally wrecked. You will need different playthroughs to see all branches and scenes. The story begins with MC starting his new job, where several colorful and unique characters fill your day: * Blair, a razor-tongued IT team lead. A goth with zero patience for management nonsense or user incompetence * Hana, a junior stylist who appears shy, but may be smarter and more insightful than she seems * Anaru , a bubbly Polynesian barista who works in the coffee shop across the street from the agency * Mark, y our best friend who works as a photographer, having to deal with gorgeous, but often annoying models * Vanessa, former model and current owner (and cougar) of the agency, whose motives are suspiciously hard to read * Indica, t he free spirited yoga teacher giving you life lessons on how to best align your 'large chakra' * Lea , blonde bombshell model who seems dumb, but looks can be deceiving * Nigel , insufferable Operations Manager who memorized every management buzzword, except on how to use them efficiently There are five main love interests (Ember, Blair, Lea, Anaru and Hana) and several other characters who will provide MC with some 'good times'. Secrets in Focus is meant to be a largely realistic mystery, with lots of romance, sexual encounters and plot twists. Realistic means no harem, no NTR, no cuckold, no gangbangs. Expect believable relationships centered primarily on one-on-one romances, with the option of a single FFM relationship. There is no lesbian sex without MC present. The FFM relationship will have threesome scenes, but the entire relationship is avoidable.

Dialogue polish (Day 1–6)
The most common piece of feedback I've received is that the humor and sarcasm between characters can be a bit much. I've gone back and rewritten quite a few dialogue sections across Day 1 through 6 to tone it down. Not removing the humor entirely, just making it a little more balanced.
Lea is now a Love Interest! After many requests, Lea has been officially upgraded to a full Love Interest. She'll have a much bigger role in the story going forward. The full relationship overview (with points per girl) will be shown at the end of Day 7 Part 2. The current LIs are: Anaru, Blair, Ember, Hana, and Lea.
New animation + mobile phone rework
Lea's OnlyCheers scene in Day 6 has been updated, the final image has been replaced with an animation (a treat for feet lovers ). Due to the explicite nature, I'm not allowed to add it here separately. This change required a rework of the in-game phone system, which can now also play videos.
Mark's love life
Mark's romantic future is in your hands. If you're not pursuing Anaru or Lea yourself, there will be a possibility to set Mark up with one of them, this will become part of the story.

To comply with Patreon and Steam rules: Rewrote the script so that Ember always is your roommate, no choice anymore for her being your stepsister. Use the incest patch if you want Ember to be your sister. The patch will never be available on Patreon or Steam. The patch will work for all future versions.
Added an in-game phone gui. Rewrote the several text messages so that it uses the phone. The phone will be used for messages to and from other characters, plus for receiving photos from the other characters. I'm unable to test myself, but it should work on the Android port once a new version is released by KoGa3.

Not much to say about this one other than it is a game with with a lot of potential that probably needs more dev time to reach its potential. Art is good, characters are good, story is solid. But at the moment there is so little stuff there that it really it might not be worth the effort of downloading and playing through at the moment. Dev seems engaged and active so I'm sure that will change in an update or two I'll rate a 4/5 for now, with potential for higher following more dev time.
Played Ch.3 Day 7v1 This is a very good game. Maybe not perfect, but I think it still deserves 5 stars. The artwork is very well done (both the main game and the more cartoon-y game within the game) - this is some of the best AI animations I've seen in a game - for whatever reason in other games those are usually much worse than the still images, but that's not the case here. The over-arching story is interesting, but this is mostly about the character interactions. The dialogue between the characters is pretty good, although the constant banter in all the conversations can start to feel monotonous at times. The girls are all well-developed, distinct from each other and have interesting personalities.
Fantastic three-way dynamic with Ember and Blair, great visuals but the main flaw is consistency. everchanging details ruin immersion. Not really interested in any of the other girls, but waiting excitedly to see the continuatio n E+B!!
Executive summary Beautifully rendered, but quite static with characters just standing there like mannequins. The writing is very entertaining. The advice is to not spam click the text away, or you'll miss the strongest part of this VN. Unfortunately, there is way too much text to not spam click anyway. The good Some of the best writing I've ever seen in a VN. I'm not talking about the story, but the sentences themselves. Almost every sentence feels like it has been carefully thought about. I can see how some people may think of it as too flowery or over the top, but I am genuinely impressed. My advice to the writer: if you can come up with an interesting story, write an actual book; you are amazing. The rendered graphics are beautiful, even though it's clearly AI generated. There are small movement in the scene like people blinking their eyes, which is a nice touch. The animations is where the characters clearly look a bit different, but they are extremely well made. The bad The scenes are quite static with conversations where the characters are just standing there in front of the viewer, rather than looking at each other. That is just weird and unnatural. Most scenes feel like they are way too long, i.e., overstay their welcome. That unfortunately greatly diminishes the strength of the writing. The models/characters do not remain consistent from scene to scene. Even the two main characters will change quite a lot from scene to scene, especially when they don't just stand there like a mannequin but are seen at some angle from away from us.
I didn't like the game much, the plot is a bit weak in places, and in some places the plot just doesn't match the visuals, and the choices are sometimes just plain boring and don't match the path you're taking, and the graphics are sometimes not very good, and the animations are sometimes ridiculous, but overall, I give it a 2-star rating.
loving the ART and smooth story line - good amount of the girls and hope to see more of them in action 5 star so far - I will support Studio in patreon for this game, keep it up - The animations are unique and high quality, I'm more than happy with AI art
Just finished up day 6 and instantly going back to try other choices. I can't recommend Secrets in Focus more. There are few AVN's that toe the line between great story and H scenes. Most lean porn than story, I tend to find those lacking something important, soul. Check this game out for: Simply stunning visuals. Fun and witty dialog . Exciting story. Compelling romance choices. It really is so very good.
I like this so far but it has one major flaw that will make it harder to play the longer it gets. The constant sarcastic jokes between the MC and everyone he speaks to is waaaaay too much. There's no balance and after a while you can't even tell the other personalities apart because the Dev writes everyone the exact same. They all end up speaking with the same carbon copy sarcasm as the MC with zero difference. While I certainly enjoy witty repartee and sarcastic humour, it becomes annoying when the vast majority of conversation is dominated by it. The Dev also needs to understand that having everyone speak the same way is highly unrealistic and a massive negative. I actually reduced my rating by a star because of it. If they read this, I'd seriously advise them to cut the witty comments by 2/3rds and to rewrite the conversations so that only the MC and maybe 1-2 other people talk that way on occasion. Most people wouldn't speak like that and having everyone do it makes it seem like it's one long conversation held solely between the MC and the Dev since no one sounds unique. And if it's 2 people speaking like that besides the MC, make so that they do it differently so they don't sound like clones. For example, have one do it with positive witty comments only and the other sarcasm only, something like that. Anyway, as far as the AI graphics go, they're pleasing to the eye. For AI, I rate it 4.5/5. The consistency with the characters is very good. The story is intriguing and has gotten my attention, so 5/5 for that. The amount of choices is nice. I'm not sure yet how they play out and if they actually make a difference to the outcome but it does seem like they will. So 4/5 for player involvement. As far as the script goes, I give it a 2/5 simply because the witty repartee between everyone is way too prevalent. It ends up a massive distraction and turns annoying fast. If the Dev solves this with a rewrite, I'd happily give this a 4/5 instead of 3/5. Final thoughts. At this point it's worth playing. If the writing stays the same, then the longer this game gets, the worse it'll be and it'll end up becoming a don't bother.
Excellent writing and pacing of the story. The models are beautiful and the portrayed characters interesting and diverse. At the end of each day you receive a standing with every girl, and it isn't transparent why you achieved 33/42 points with Ember Specifically. I like that, it feels more real than games with immediate feedback.

OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS & FINAL REMARKS : NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer. (Read them or don't) The banter comes across as forced rather than organic, which undermines authenticity. There’s a sense of snark fatigue — the clever retorts pile up and stall the scene’s momentum and just kill immersion for me. Its just tiresome the whole back and forth retorts almost like there is a competition of wits all the time, really annoying. The characters like especially Blair feels more like a caricature than a person — the rigid, robotic traits are exaggerated to the point of breaking immersion. Her characterization is flat and mechanical, which makes it hard to imagine this person existing outside IRL. The bluntness and lack of emotion are overdrawn; a touch of nuance would make the character more believable. She just seems to lack dimensions and the same with others, they too set in their roles, one being shy, another outspoken, another indifferent etc. TLDR: Beautifully constructed models, but the characterization, personalities sometimes feel off especially some characters more than others. The dialogue is also annoying in its clever retorts, quips and constant back and forth battle of wits that is really very tedious, uninteresting and immature, often leading to unemotional/soulless dialogue like it was written by AI.
The story is nice, LIs are beautiful. MC is good looking as well. all of them are likable. Graphics are partly strange, like, a background photo and MC and a girl talking, But not to each other, but direktly at the viewer. And this picture does not change, even when the story says something different. e.g. MC sits with blair in the server room, each of them working on the pc. But the dev did not bother to generate a picture showing them sitting, they rather keep standing and smiling "at the camera" throughout the whole dialogue. This needs urgent improvement in my view, because it disturbs the immersion significantly. The writing is witty, makes fun to proceed through the story. Only one hot scene up to chapter 3.
This is a genuinely solid visual novel with a lot going for it. The strongest part is definitely the writing: the humor is sharp and frequent, and the dialogue feels lively and true to each character. The banter between the cast is consistently entertaining, and there were plenty of lines that made me laugh out loud or at least crack a big smile. Every character has a distinct personality and voice, which makes spending time with them enjoyable even during the quieter moments. The CGs are high quality overall – vibrant colors, great expressions, and excellent use of lighting and composition in most scenes. There are a handful of illustrations where the character edges have minor blending or artifacting issues, but it’s a small flaw that only stood out on close inspection and never ruined the impact of the art. One thing that didn’t completely click for me personally was the sheer number of choices. There are so many dialogue and action options throughout that it sometimes slowed the pacing down more than I would have liked, even though most of them do influence routes and endings meaningfully. In the end, it’s a very good visual novel with excellent comedy, likable characters, and beautiful artwork. If you enjoy funny, character-focused stories with plenty of player decisions, this one is absolutely worth your time. Good job! StudioBMK!
What a surprisingly lovely game, with an MC that's likable, who can be as witty as you want him to be, and lovely cast of girls. Blair is obviously the peak of the mountain, but Ember seems to be the main LI, I enjoy that I've had a choice in almost every major decision. I look forward to more updates!
I've only gotten to the end of chapter 2. I like the story. Well-written story. Renders look great. This VN has a lot of storytelling (NOVEL) but very little VISUAL changes. Long conversations with no image changes. Lots of great written descriptions, but little visual correlation. I've managed to get a sex scene with Indica. Literally 5 images. I'm not saying that's a small number, but with the enthusiasm conveyed in the text, a few more would enhance the immersion. I'll give it a 4 until I finish the current update (Chapter 3 - Day 5)
An excellent start. . I'm a avid adult visual novel follower and I love this new entry. It has fresh characters and stunning graphics. The story is moving along well for a new game. I dislike games that drag the follower around forever with no end. The developer is very responsive to anyone who has advise and answers questions promptly . I look forward to each update that is forthcoming . Highly recommended .
Writing is extremely good so far and most of the girls are hot. I’m very intrigued by certain character routes and how the story will unfold. There really aren’t many games where you find characters likeable after a very short time
The story is well-written; it's not a masterpiece, but it's coherent. There are no aliens or ghosts, and the characters are well-developed with their own opinions and backstories. It remains to be seen how it will unfold.
great game, so far. if you're looking for a game with meaningless, mindless sex, every time you turn around, you should probably look elsewhere. here, it's blended into the story far more naturally than most. the models look great. yes, it's ai generated, but that's hardly a negative, here. things and people look great(except that server room) and consistency in the images is a positive. the story is building well, and interesting. if i had 1 negative to mention, if you're not going to accept 1 of 2 possible choices, in a situation, don't put a choice up. i don't really appreciate being given a choice that isn't really a choice at all. if i can say no, then no should be accepted and the story should move on. other than that, the 2 parts have been great and i'm ready for more. just take your time and develop the game you want to develop. this is a fantastic start, though.
Renders look great. I enjoyed the story and choices as well. Hopefully it keeps going in this direction, because I liked it. All the love interests are developing well. Which leaves the player with some good choices to make.
The girls are stunning, but Ember takes the crown, especially in the latest ep. Story is also interesting, am curious and looking forward to more. defintely one of the better ai games. worth a try, solid stuff.
