Actually a very fun SMT experience. As a fun of SMT series this model of NSFW content (building relationships and watching events on a save point) reminds a lot of the Devil Summoner spin-off though the game clearly wants to be a mix of SMT 1,2, if.. and 3rd with a couple of demon designs from V. The leveling up is kinda broken, because at first you get almost 0 exp points and on the second-third floor from the start it finally goes okay, but still feels a little slower than average SMT game (which is noticably slow to be honest). Also MC is kinda underpowered which leaves some issues - he should be the main attack power at first, but this grown man with a sword suddenly deals same damage as little fairy Pixie? wtf? The Nekomata should be the next your damage dealer is also dealing a little more than any other my party member, like she should be better at combat with her claws, but deals a little 10 or 20% more damage than pixie. Gonna watch this game because I'm very pleased with how it looks, plays and reads, though the very petty main character is kinda debatable (the Russian translation seems to be AI-generated, sometimes the gender of character is misplaced, but all the other times a very solid translation) P.S. The game seems that it WAS a VN at one point, but now the tag is absolete, it's a full on JRPG now
This game reminds me of the Eye of the beholder, except that game was out in 1991 and somehow still looks better. This pretty much sums up the visual side. As for the story and writing - it's insufferable. If you like playing as a guy that is very sorry that he exists go ahead. He is also extremely dumb, contradicts himself every other sentence and could be a very good example for a case study about how not to write a protagonist. Complete waste of time.
Art is bad, a lot of bugs. I don't know what else to say, I've always wanted a game based on this universe, but without good artists it's not worth making such a game, half of the art is copied from the original art from the games, maybe if a normal artist joins the development, I'll change the rating
Lots of potential. If you want this to be the best version it can be, supporting it is the best option (seriously, even 1 dollar goes a long way). After talking to the dev, they seem quite passionate about the project and is planning to add many demons to the roster. As the game is now, it's obviously a bit bare-bones but that's to be expected. Still, there is good content to be enjoyed here, so try it out.
For a first game it's a great start. For a Shin Megami Tensei Hentai game it is a refreshing start. The art style is good and the story so far is fairly okay for a v0.1.1. the Game play is pretty average for a training game .
